Camping World in League City, Texas - Returning items

1.7
Details
I bought two items the same. I had to pay for shipping and now they want me to pay for shipping again to return one of them. Never ever will I buy something from them. Don't assume that a reputable company like this will work with you. They are like 2-3 hours from my home and I won't waste my gas to get there for a 20.00 item . I will sell it on ebay or something. This is the second time I have had an issue with an item that I ordered. These items aren't expensive however the shipping sure is. Try to find some where else. I know we need more options for RV items.

Camping World in Swedesboro, New Jersey - OMG

1.5
Details
I dropped my RV off at the Camping World off Route 295 (Exit 10) on July 20th. Today is July 29th and the technician has yet to repair the leveling jacks. When I call the service department no one answers the telephone and the service manager is useless. The problem is very simple - the techs don't talk to the service writers, and the service manager does not check out the quality of the repairs. More important than that is that the service writers don't communicate with the customers. Twice I was told I could pick up my RV and each time I arrived (it's a 2 hour drive - one way), we tested the leveling jacks and discovered they were not working. Shouldn't someone have checked the tech's work to confirm the repairs were made? Both times the service writer stated "they were working yesterday!" In the interim, the bill continues to increase - now we are replacing parts and I still don't know when my RV will be available. BTW - when asked how much the parts would cost me, I was informed that the writer didn't know the price and the parts department had yet to provide a price. Did anyone ask me if I wanted to spend more money on the jacks? Nope. When is enough enough? What ever happened to customer satisfaction? Does anyone at Camping World care?

Camping World Is Shameful!

Stay away! Our camper was stolen off the property of one of their dealers during business hours and they did nothing! They deferred to their 1.5 billion dollar parent corporation...and they did nothing accept give us the runaround, lie and ignore phone calls. They are absolutely pathetic and a sad commentary on American greed with no concern for the consumer. We gave them more than six weeks to do the right thing and now they won't even return phone calls. Apparently they don't even care about negative publicity because their strategy is to ignore you until you go away or sue them.

Getting my rv surviced there was the biggest mistake.......Was taken care by levi willford whom has no manners and no customer survice trying to get my faucet to stop leaking was like trying to get someone to answer the phone WHAT A BIG JOKE......the service manager LORNE EDWARDS MUST have been in maintenance before becoming a manager because he knows nothing about rv's.....and the general manager MIKE BRAMAN must be doing alot of *** kissing to keep his job.....makes you wonder why type of scam they are pulling with warranty and the employees money because diana vasquez the office manager does what she wants......i did some research and got to know the employees there as a "customer" and can you believe that if the sales people dont make sales they get fired and if you dont sell good sams , roadside, and every other thing they sell you get fired...if you dont do what they say you get fired......MARCUS LEMONADE IF YOU REED THIS YOUR MANAGEMENT SUCKS AND ITS OBVIOUS THAT YOU DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR EMPLOYEES OR CUSTOMERS.......

Camping World in Golden, Colorado - Worse sales service

1.0
Details
Walked into Camping World in Golden,CO looking to buy an RV Trailer. No sales people were available. Then went back to car to return something I was carrying. Returned inside and a sales person (with a smart attitude) directed me where to walk to look for used campers because he was "waiting on other customers to come to the store to test drive". Worse customer sales service I have ever experienced in my life. I walked up to the used trailer lot and started looking at trailers....at which some were locked and I could not see the inside. Walked down to the newer trailers below and once again, I couldn't find help or answers to questions I had.Trailer Source out of Wheat Ridge has the best sales person as well as the better quality RVs.

Camping World Trade-in Review from Dacono, Colorado

Details
Camping World in Longmont, CO has my motor home on consignment. I was told I would get high $50's when it sells, they advertised at just under $90,000. I was told the average sell time was under 21 days and that my rig was exceptionally nice/clean but they have had it for over 2 months. I have left phone messages for two different people in the consignment dept and they won't return my calls. Their corporate office will get a phone call tomorrow and then the BBB!

Camping World Jacksonville - DRIVE FURTHER

3.0
Details
We bought our RV last year at Camping World Jacksonville,FL the sales person was absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately I can not say the same for the service department. We have been currently living in our RV because my husband is in the military. Our AC unit went out. We called them on a Wednesday and was told bring down on Saturday. "We will take a look at it and fix it for you because of your circumstances." Well that did NOT happen. The RV was taken down on Saturday, and we learned that they would not be taking at look at it because they only had a Skeleton Crew. But it would be fixed on Monday because they had a truck coming in with AC units. Monday afternoon we called them, and we were told "oh no" it has to be approved for the warranty. On Tuesday we were told it will be "3 more days." 10 days! We have had to stay in a hotel, and have already paid the RV park to stay. Each time we call them no one seems to know what is going on. I hope that we do NOT have to use them for anything in the future!

Camping World in Rockmart, Georgia - Poor customer service - Oxford Al.

I've had my 2016 camper in twice since I bought it in January. The service department just treats you like you are a problem for them. I was actually told that the reason that warranty work took so long is because Camping World will not accept the initial repair order from the mfg. They try to negotiate more time based on what they think the repair will cost versus what the actual mfg says. Who do you think pays the price, it's the customer. I think the mfg should look at who is selling their product. Camping World would be out of business if consumers had more choices as to where they could buy a camper.

Camping World in Meridian, Idaho - Pretty disgusted

3.3
Details

Update by user Jul 28, 2016

Magically, an hour after I lodged a formal complaint with Camping World Corporate office, I received a call from my service rep saying that the parts had just arrived! Coincidence?

Probably not, but I took the trailer in this morning for the repair and they were done in under 30 mins with no additional cost. I still feel I was overcharged for time and some 'shop supplies', but the time today was covered by the insurance replacement of the of the items.

I still have a note into CW, about a possible refund. Since they have the best camping supply store in the valley, I will be back there, but don't see myself the service department again.

Original review posted by user Jul 27, 2016

Pretty disgusted with Camping World, Meridian, ID. I took our trailer in for a new plug cord - pigtail between trailer and truck - we squished it and cut a wire inside, our fault ($40 part and $128 installation - a whole hour - really??). A repair of the air conditioner - incorrect install by the factory (come on Forest River!!) - but since we are the 2nd owner of a 2015 we had to pay for that (ok, maybe an hour total to diagnose and fix, but how much of the $116 'shop supplies' was the tape they said they put on it to fix it? And how many 'shop supplies' were needed when the sway bar and pigtail came with their own parts??), and installation of an anti-sway bar (again - a whole hour - really??) for a grand total, wait for it - $650!!! That is not a typo!! $384 in labor - that is not a typo either. $128 per hour labor - 3 hours seems excessive for the things that were done. They were quite eager to tell me that our insurance would cover the replacement of a charging station - but it still hasn't come in yet (I have, however been charged the deductible), and one of the biggies - the front electric stabilizer legs quit working (they say it's a switch, so the insurance won't cover) and they don't know when the part will be in. They had it 3 weeks, and it has now been another 2 weeks! I asked when exactly these parts were ordered, and the service guy, Kenny C, can't seem to give me an order date - he will just 'call me when they come in'. Camping World won't have my business again. Randi Lansford, email randilansford@gmail if you care to try to repair your credibility.
