They will treat you great before you buy from them once you buy from them they treat you like garbage it takes months to get your item in and the customer service is terrible they've had my toy hauler for 3 weeks now and they won't even call me back I have to actually go up there to talk to someone I've called every day and they will not call me back on top of that everything that I need fixed on my toy hauler they said isn't covered under warranty do not buy from these people they will rip you off

Camping World - Customer Care Review from Torrance, California

Went to Harrisburg PA Camping World yesterday to return an ice maker and exchange. We were never treated so horribly by any sales. It took her 45 minutes to get an approval and she came out with this nasty look. Asked to speak with the manager and he just showed us to a chair and gave us a cup of water. I asked to do it myself and they would not bring my receipt and pamphlet back. I spoke with a young girl that worked there and she is looking for a new job because it is horrible to work there. I think corporate needs to make some adjustments.

Stay away!!!!!! Camping world in rapid city sd!!! Took took 8 months to get my camper back and when i did gas tank was siphoned dry..camper had been ransacked and damage to inside floor and outside doors..they promised to fix the wheel well skirting but never did..called 100 times and talked to nobody with no return calls!! Stay away!!!!

I bought a 2012 fifth wheel about 2 months ago from Camping World in Gulf Breeze. They held my camper there about 1-2 weeks as I was unable to move it to my lot until I was approved for it. I moved my belongings in there and packed it full. I didn't have room for my sewing machine table so I put it under my fifth wheel overhang tightly against the camper. A few employees saw us moving our belongings and I said that I didn't want my table thrown away. I come back a week or so later and can't find it. After some searching I talked with a manager days later and he told me that he threw it away. He said they don't run a storage facility and he didn't know who it belonged to. Common sense would tell me that it would belong to the person who's camper it was under. It had an extra set of car keys to my new car, craft supplies that I planned on using to make money with, medicine, I believe the cords to my expensive sewing machine, and who knows what else. He said it was all thrown away but who knows if an employee took the car keys and plan on taking the car one day or going in it to take my belongings. (I live close to this place). Soon after getting my camper I noticed the slide out sloping in the middle. It feels unsteady- like not much weight could be put on it. I called a different manager and he came over the same day with a service employee. He said he'll talk to the higher ups and see what he can do. When I called back he said that they declined being able to fix it because it's a used camper. They offered me a $50-$100 gift card for their store for them throwing away my table and other belongings. How am I supposed to buy back what was lost with that? Before I had the camper put on my lot I noticed there was a trail of dried liquid coming from the window. I showed an employee and he said it probably wasn't from a leak. About a week ago we noticed water on both sides of the slide out. We tore up the carpet and found water damage on the sides and the middle of the slide out. Now we know why the slide out was unsturdy and unlevel. There's also *** there so it's not sealed and any bug that wants to can try and make its way in. I put some bug repellent down so hopefully that'll help keep them away for now. When I talked to the manager again I told him that I would like to find out about getting rid of the camper or trading it for a different one. He said he would look into it. Getting in touch with him has been very difficult. I finally had to go into the store to talk with him. He said that they can't just take the camper back, that they'd have to do a trade for it. I would think if I bought a lemon camper they'd have to return it. It's not that big of a deal for me as I found another camper that I'm interested in. It's at a different Camping World location. Maybe that's why I haven't heard back from him this time. I'm a student and disabled veteran on a limited income and this has been a disappointing experience for me. My neighbor bought a camper from them and it leaked from day 1. They've spent thousands trying to repair it. Camping World tried to fix it for them 3 times and it still leaked. I'm hoping Camping World will do something about both cases.

rotts of ruck after talking to neighbor you wnt ahead and purchased... Im litigating hope you saved all your docs and can find a good lawyer...

your neighbor too as CW strings things out in order to get people to just get disgusted and drop it all....

they count on it and their motto is,"theres a sucker born every minute" count on it and do not delay or allow them to do it to you! Good Luck!

Camping World in Erie, Colorado - Nexen Tires

I purchased 6 new tires in 2015 from Camping World. I was offered three choices good, better or best. I chose the better option. One year later I experienced three blowouts and one tread loss on four of the tires. CW response is we have a 90 day return policy you need to contact the manufacturer. Nexen says we don't warranty tires on motor homes because the tires are not rated for motor homes. That being the case CW put tires on my vehicle that they were aware we're a safety hazard for my family. I wouldn't purchase anything from them again. They recommended the tires and I had a very dangerous failure on four of the six tires. I would also not purchase any tires from Nexen either as they we very rude when I contacted them. Said the would call me and I had to keep calling them to get a response.

Why in thee *** would you go to an rv dealer for tires. You buy tires from tire stores.

For motorhomes you take it to aplce that does big trucks and has the ability to balance large truck tires. Where do you buy tires for your vehicle?

Surely you don't go to the dealership where you bought it........

Camping World and I have solved this problem with great results. We spoke this morning and will be picking up our motorhome the first of the week and have worked out a mutual price.

The Service Manager was very polite. We found out that we had not been informed of many aspects of the issues at this business.

We would like to tell others to not give up and make sure you speak to the person who can make decisions and not to someone who is not authorized. Thank you Camping World for being fair about the issues we had with your business.

I called Camping World in London Ohio in February for an appt. for March 23rd to repair my air conditioners. (Heat pump) They let my RV sit until May. We called repeatedly, most of the time we got an answering machine and they didn't return my calls. Eventually in May we were told it was ready. We went to pick it up and found it wasn't repaired and told them so. In short they used excuses, mostly that we didn't know what we were talking about and that there wasn't anything else wrong with it. Eventually we were told in late June or early July that they had found the problem. Currently they still have our RV and it has been about 140 days. They ordered a new heat pump to the tune of $5300 plus labor and shipping rather than finish the repair they had started on the original. We have been without our motorhome all spring and summer. I can't get them to agree on a price that we will settle for after they deprived us of our vacations we had planned. Never again. They don't know what they are doing. I have filed complaints with Corporate and we are still waiting on a solution.

I purchased a travel trailer from Camping World on Music Valley Drive in Nashville at the end of July. I signed the papers on a Friday and went back on Sunday to get my walk through and pick it up. I was told there was a broken part that needed to be replaced. I left the trailer on the lot for them to order the part and do the repair prior to pick up. I waited until the next Friday and called my salesman, Jamie, to get an update. My salesman said he would find out and call me later that day. I never got a call back. I called in on Monday for a status. My salesman had Nicholas call me. He said the part was mis-ordered and that he would get the part reordered and get me a status by the end of the day. No call back. I filed a complaint with the corporate HQ via internet. Tuesday, I called the store manager, Julie. Julie says she will find out what is happening and get back to me. Later I get a call from Shawn. He says he is going to be my POC and keep me informed and that he will get the straight story and call me back by the end of the day. I asked if he had talked to Julie and he said he didn't know she and I had talked. Julie calls back says there was a mistake with ordering the part, that she will get it straightened out and call me on Thursday. Shawn never called me back. Wednesday I get an email from Julie confirming she'll call Thursday. Later Shawn calls and tells me the part is ordered and will arrive in about a week. I asked him to look into overnighting the part. Thursday Julie calls to tell me the part is ordered with overnight shipping and it will be here on Friday and that I should be able to pick up my trailer not later than Saturday. I got no call Friday, Saturday or Sunday. By now I'm in regular email traffic with Corporate because that is the only thing getting me any response from the dealership. Monday Shawn calls me after corporate pokes him and he tells me the part was not ordered until Friday and should arrive Wednesday. Tuesday he calls to tell me the part is there, will be installed and I can pick up the trailer later that day. I postponed the pick up because I was going to see my new great grandbaby. I did not get a call later on Tuesday or on Wednesday to confirm the trailer was repaired and ready for pick up. Again I sent an email to Corporate asking for help and explaining the lack of contact from the dealership. I get called by Roger on Thursday morning telling me the repair is complete and I can come pick up the trailer. I gave them enough time to clean the trailer. My wife and I went through another walk through, we hooked up and left. Almost everyone in the dealership was happy to lie about what was going on during the two and a half weeks and when things would happen. Nobody took responsibility for my purchase and me as a customer to keep me informed and make sure everything was progressing. I was repeatedly lied to and abandoned by most everyone I talked to in the dealership. I will never spend another penny with Camping World and will drive two or three states away if I have to so I don't have to deal with anyone in this dealership ever again. Its not the time that it took to get my trailer to me, its the way these people made me feel like their lunch pizza was more important that taking care of someone making a major purchase.

I wish I had read these reviews before I bought my toy hauler from Camp world it's a pioneer and I don't have it 6 months and things are falling apart on it already the manufacturer warranty nor the warranty I paid for is not covering the items that are defective for some reason it's like everyone says on here they will treat you like kings and queens until you have purchased an item from them and afterwards they treat you like trash do not buy from these people or you will be sorry

Very poor service. CW of Spartanburg SC has had our new Thor Motor Coach since Jan. 2016. They blambed Thor for problem. Called Thor and Thor has no records of orders or parts request since February. Never will do business again with them. Boy have we been ripped off.
