I bought a 2016 fifth wheel. I felt I got a good price and was happy with my purchase. I spent a total of $56k on the unit and a hitch and stuff from the store. During delivery the self level faulted and Scott said because the ground wasn't level. It did the same thing when I got home and the ground is level. After delivery I drove across the street and took a pic. I then took one trip and later found the microwave dish was missing, *** in the rubber roof and damage and a decal that had damaged. I looked at the pic I took after delivery and the damage was there. Several calls,messages,e-mails and the passage of one week led to no results. Worst customer service I ever experienced, no one returned my calls. I then sent a very direct email to the GM Patrick and he apologized and that was it, still no solution to my problems. I had to patch the roof myself because it started raining. That place should be shut down and their business license revoked.

This was Tom Johnsons business before he sold it to Camping World. It was a fun and happy place to do business.

Great salesmen, and very customer oriented service department. Since the acquisition the atmosphere is completely different. It's all about the money now. Employees are guarded and defensive, and obviously stressed and under pressure.

Conversations are clipped, short and impersonal. They've lost their best sales people.

This is what happens when Big Corporate takes over a family owned business. They might be more profitable in the short run but I wouldn't buy here again.

If the staff are rude and don't care then I do not understand why upper echelon leaders do not fire these staff members. It is aparent there is a customer service problem. Donald Trump would have fired them immediately.

Avondale AZ Camping World service dept. is the worst I have ever seen. They dont answer the phone, quote wrong prices and seem so busy that everyone is miserable. I am sure I will never return. The worst part is we bought a 2016 Thor and the service dept and sales fought the hole time we were there. These dept in the same building is not a good idea. I also feel I was charged way too much for labor installing new batteries. No one ever told us if the old one was bad or not. Also had a propane leak and no one ever told us what it was. When we picked up our motor home no one showed us the work that was done, just handed the keys, here you go. They were to busy to provide any customer service. Lee 623-846-2172 Home 602-369-9410 cell

Camping World - Still waiting - 899920 madison, wis.

this is a continuation of the first. after 4 months of waiting we finally took our FR3 to madison. from 8am to 530 pm they managed to do 7 out of 15 total repairs. the counter top needed to be replaced so they managed to crack it while they were installing the new one - so quess what they did?? - they finished the job caulk and all. now even though it has been 4 months we are back to waiting again. of course they say they are going to put a rush on it, HaHa, maybe this time it will only take 6month. i figure this time frame, since we pi---d them off by complaining about the work not getting done 9 and 1/2 hours. CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS

Camping World in Salt Lake City, Utah - Run Around

to brian.struthers You may expect a phone call this morning regarding the replacement of the retracting step on my Itasca motorhome. Be sure you're sitting down. You have now had my unit for three weeks. It has been claimed that there is some difficulty in obtaining a replacement. I call foul. This item is available on your own (Camping World) website: Catalog Item # 81979. $499.99. It is available for immediate delivery. Google searches for the same item show lower prices and availability from other vendors. Having paid dearly for my extended warranty, I expect results - not promises or the ongoing run-around that I and my wife have been experiencing. Ernest Fischer

Camping World in Villa Rica, Georgia - Service

I am not at all happy with camping worlds service dept at the Anniston Al location. this is an ongoing issue from the last 2 years. you can never get any one to return your phone calls and it is very difficult to get a person on the phone. I have had dealings with Sony, Kelley, Kim , Russ(the service mgr) and still cannot get any resolution to my warranty issues. this is ongoing for 3 months. I will NEVER buy or take my RV back there again. no one seems to really care. All they want to do is sell but give no service. As Sony put it.. its all rainbows and unicorns in sales but when it comes to the service side,, well there isn't any. I don't know who to contact at this point but I know I will NEVER recommend camping world to anyone. I know other people who have had the same issues at other locations of camping world. It must be a policy.

Yes it is pretty much standard policy to cheatum however they can.

In August of this year they are #6 on the top ten most complained about companies.

My overall experience with this dealer is not very good. The salesman was more concerned about what we had to spend then the needs we had in mind, he was not a bad guy but I would not do business with him again. Getting a tag for brand new travel trailer was a very poor experience as well for they advised us they had no tags to hand out and told us we were to just call later that week about it but when you do the lady that handles that rarely answers the phone or returns your call so after about a month now of having the trailer in our position we still have no tag for it. When taking delivery for the travel trailer the salesman disappeared and left it up to the shop guy to go over everything who had a ton of other projects going on already in the shop possibly delaying the repair of others units. WE do really like our travel trailer and the floor plan of it but the dealer itself I would have to think twice of doing business with them again and just pay the higher price for a better overall experience. The good about this place is the guy in the shop that went over the trailer with us was very knowledgeable and did a great job (wish he would have been our salesman as well) and told us if we have any questions to call him The place is well stocked with supplies and accessories. The hours are convenient. I would highly recommend going to Bill Plemmons RV unless you really find a unit here you must have.

CAMPING WORLD USE TO BE A GOOD PLACE TO PURCHASE BUT AS I CAN SEE AND JUST RECENTLY EXPERIENCED, AT LEAST FOR CAMPING WORLD IN CONCORD, NC - TERRIBLE!!! DO NOT GOT THERE!

I bought a class A RV from camping world in Longmont CO, drove home to CA and waited about three months for a new plate from DMV , which never came, come to find out the dealer under paid on the CA sale tax almost nine hundred, called the financing manager and was told that im responsibe for the different, i believe when i sign the contract stated the original amount nothing should be different, why should i have to pay for their mistake, thats why they have a special department, unless theyre not been trained to do the job right,

Bought a brand new Moror Home from Campingworld Golden Co. Sales ok. Service sucks and the cheif Sucker there is the General Manager Donnie Wagner. Damaged the Moror Home and could not find his manhood (b___s) to call me. Only to have a yes man call me. Then tell me I would not be allowed on His lot. DONT BY FROM CAMPINGWORLD and Donnie Wagner. Had some contact with someone from their CS Dept. Another ballon with hot air!!!
