FYI I've been dealing with this since mid June of this year.. now mid Oct and still waiting!!!!

FYI, the Camping World I'm referring to in this review is located in Meridian, Idaho.

Bad, bad Service Dept.. the worst! Brought my 2015 Winnebago Forza in for continued issues I've had since driving off the camping world lot.. made a appt for these issues and after having it for more then 30 days service manager tells me they just identified parts needed and still have to order once approved by warranty company. So after further discussion I find out my RV sat there for more then 30 days just for them to identify parts.. why did I make a appt? After 43 days I told them coming to pick up because of a planned trip and they still hadn't completed any of work and parts still not ordered.. upon picking up I sit in my drivers seat and notice tilt mode on my seat is broken and noticed something hanging below.. find was a broken shaft.. was not a problem when I brought in. A little more then two weeks later I bring back to try and take care of original issues.. two weeks later no work done so picked up again because of another trip we had planned. Now I call service agent I've been dealing with and tell him when parts come in let me know so I can bring back and get remaining issues taken care of in a timely manner.. it's been Two weeks now and as of this mornings email message they haven't touched yet! Because he tells me in the email that they are swamped with people bringing in the campers to get winterized.. unbelievable, I made this appt because he told me they had everything..and still can't get it done in a timely manner... I'm so pissed and upset with Camping World that once I get work completed will never ever return.. And I highly recommend anybody looking at doing business with them to reconsider. Obsolutely the worst customer service and service department I've ever dealt with.. and this Meridian, Idaho location is not the only Camping World location I've dealt with in the past had terrible service at two others on East Coast!! Beware folks! My wife and I are so unhappy with Camping World and with our Winnebago Forza that seriously looking at trading in and dealing with a totally different company. The list I have of issues with on our Coach are to long to list here. But Camping World sold us something that they didn't even drive and check before selling us! One pissed off Customer!!!!! Good luck to those trying to get work done!!!

Well finally on Nov 10th I was able to pick up our RV after 6 weeks. And this is after they tell me to drop off cause all parts are in!

Had to add a extra week plus due to some *** in the shop damaging my transfer switch on my couch and had to order parts.. just unbelievable. Totally unprofessional in running a business as they do! Still waiting on replacement DVD player and this is only been since June!

Warning you folks out there, stay away from Camping World service department here in Meridian Idaho..

while they had it broke my drivers seat, killed my batteries cause never turned off coach switches, and then damaged transfer switch..

been dealing with this billshit and terrible service since June 20th. Oh on another note, the good Sam extended warranty is not very good..

my next coach will go with Rte 66 extended plan.. just FYI folks.

Had similar experience with our 2016 Winnebago Itasca Sunova. I asked to see all the work orders on the unit since delivery.

Shocked at what Winnebago out through their Quality Inspectors. They can get rid of that whole department. 4 months in Camping World. No problems with CW.

They were stuck in the middle between Winnebago and their suppliers. Saw order for a SET of slide rails. CE received 2 right side rails.

Added 2 weeks to the repair time. No More Winnebago Products!

Camping World in Tenafly, New Jersey - Disgusted with the Management in Lakewood...

Like so many customers, we serviced our RV at the Lakewood Camping World because we loved working with Peter Coluccio in service so much! We had horrible experiences with Bill and so many employees and dealerships that Pete was a breath of fresh air! So because of Pete we referred our friends to camping world to purchase and service a new RV. My friends went in to purchase their RV on Friday and they asked for Pete. They were told he left for the day. When they returned on Monday to order a hitch from Pete they were told that he was no longer with the company. The actual truth is Pete was fired on Friday and they didn't tell my friends that because they would have walked out, so they lied to make the sale. How can you possibly fire your best and hardest working employee??? All the other service people that work there STINK!!! If you were a camping world customer and are upset by this please share and complain so that we can get the person fired who decided to get rid of Pete!!! Shame on you Camping World...my next RV will be purchased and serviced elsewhere you should appreciate your hard working employees!!! And I promise to write to Headquarters they need to know whats going on in your shop!

from what I saw Pete was a hard working person who

cared about his customers. From what I understand the gm. frank

does not care about the customers only about sales

after reading the reviews on yelp I will stay away from this place in the future

Camping World in Saint Augustine, Florida - Returning of unused merchandise

10/9/2016 I went to return an UNOPENED and UNUSED generator at the St Augustine Store 3 days after purchasing. The store Manager stated generators could not be returned and it was stated on the receipt. There was also a sign posted on the door that was not there when I purchased the generator. I left and retrieved my glasses and read the receipt. The receipt stated Unopened and Unused generators could be returned within 30 days. After I pointed this out, the manager gave my money back. I wonder how many people he screwed who didn't read the receipt. I will never shop in any Camping World store again. I will also let all my RV owner friends know about this also.

They have the worst customer service, for one employees are not in uniform, so you do not know who works here. When I finally found a woman who works here (not in uniform) her and one cashier and one financial man was working on a Thursday. They have no designated parking for cars or RV/ trailers, so people are pulled off the side of the road. I bought a trailer from them and have so many problems with it. I can't wait to get rid of it and camping world.

Purchased a 2017 Travel Trailer in August of 2016. Ridiculous purchase process and don't even think about getting a warranty issue resolved. The minute you drive off of the lot you will not be given any further consideration.

Camping World in Jackson, Mississippi - DESTROYED all in fridge (incl meds)

Details
Left RV for a very simple repair (put glass, which we had already procured from manufacturer, in 2 exterior rear view mirrors), which was a 5 minute job. Told we'd get it back the next day. Ready 5 days later. When we left the RV, asked them to be sure fridge was left on. 5 days later fridge was off, hot in side, destroying all - $419.12 for food & $805.00 medicine. Service manager said they would replace all. Total bill was $1224.12. They reimbursed $1000 but not all. Been fighting them since June 25 2016! Service mgr left the company, customer service wont help, store manager refuses to reimburse what we were promised. General manager refuses to pay the rest, even tho the service manager offered to pay it all.

Camping World in Macon, Georgia - Rude finance mgr. never return.

Were ready to purchase fifth wheel but wanted details of their offer. Could not sit down right then as we had walked around for an hour. I am still on crutches from broken leg and tired out. But we had decided on unit. This person (finance mgr) followed us practically to the door and told us that if we didn't want to do it his way to leave, then turned his back and stalked off. Incidentally, we have purchased 2 campers from this very CW. We have never been so insulted and so rudely treated by any business...ever! Never will we return. We will ourchase a new camper... but not from them.

nobody has ever lied to me as much as seth and kevin have lied to me. they are the worst bunch of salespeople that i have ever talked to.

they have not 1 time done what they said they where going to do but run my credit score and never have called back. i am going to contact my lawyer just because the run my credit score and then did not do what they said they where going to do.

Jayco & Camping world have no customer service. All kinds of excuses to not do warranty work.

Spent more time in the shop than on the road. Every time we needed something fixed Jayco would deny camping world and then I would have to call Jayco after 2 or 3 phone calls you get someone to talk to Jayco. And they always approved the issues but this was nothing but a pain to deal with it was as if camping world didn't even try to contact Jayco on the issues. The last issue was the worst I took it in for an alignment and you would not believe what Jayco had done to this rig at the time of install. I would never recommend either of these companies to anyone. After so many times taking it in for warranty issues and being denied by camping world we got tired of the whole issue and sold the coach to another dealer.

Camping World Akron, Ohio SUCKS!!!!!

We bought a brand new travel trailer in July and its been one thing after another with this unit. When we went to picked it up 5 days after signing the paperwork and the items that we were told by our sales person would be fixed were not touched. The camper had a spare tire cover laying on the kitchen table but were told the unit did not come with a spare tire. Really.....we get a tire cover but no spare tire?? Our walk thru was terrible, I asked how to winterize it and was told that I could "Youtube" it and figure it out. The guy hooking up the new hitch was yelling out answers to the guy giving us the walk-thru because he was so clueless. Then I took it back for Warranty work on September 1st, I finally get a call on October 6th that everything is fixed and ready for pick-up. I call ahead on October 7th that I am on my way to pick it up, because I live an hour away, I get there and someone hit our camper and damaged the awning to the point of being junk and non-usable. Also someone stole my exterior water heater door from my camper, unbelievable!!! I demanded that an awning and water heater door be taken off another unit sitting on their lot and put on mine. While waiting for the swap out/repair of awning I asked the service manager to tighten up my hitch bolts and the service manager asked if I bought the hitch from them..............does it really matter at this point. I am thoroughly irritated at this point. After waiting 4 hours for the repair I go out to look at my camper and whoever did the work did a terrible job. I have gaps in the awning bracket and it looks like an inexperienced service worker did the job. Now I have to buy clear seam sealant and do it right myself. I get the camper home and noticed that someone stole one of my bumper caps and replaced it with a disgusting, rotted out bumper caps, are you kidding me?!?!? I pray I never have to take to back to Camping World Akron ever again. We were warned NOT to buy our camper at this place, we should have listened. Do yourself a favor and buy from a different dealer, you'll be glad you did!
