Camping world of Avondale AZ is a joke for their service.

WE brought our 2005 workhorse Class A to have five things fixed. We bought the parts before hand. We wanted shocks put on, airbags installed, three switches replaced on the parking break, head lights aligned and oil changed in transmission. After 9 weeks of excuses the were only able to get the shocks put on and the airbags installed. for a cost of $1400. The original estimate was alot less and their untruthfulness from the service people to the sales manager is something they are trained to do. NEVER do any business with camping world because they don't care about the customer. There only interest is how much they can stick the consumer for. This place promises to keep you informed but they never do. Go some place else and read reviews and tell your RV friends.

Camping World - Rv Repair Review

2.4
Details
Poor quality service and shoddy workmanship. Had my RV in for some rather routine Warranty repairs, bath countertop replacement. They installed the countertop on crooked, not near level, my 10 year old could have done a better job. Replaced a recliner and tore the new living room floors up. Also dented my fridge door in the process and ordered the wrong fridge door part to replace. Replaced floor covering but now they are bubbling up. Horrible place to have even the simplest repairs done. They actually damaged more than they repaired. Will never go back. Zero in a scale of 1-5.

Bob in Buffalo. Blowout on a tire on my A-liner near Rochester on my way to ADK park .

Made it to camping world in Syracuse on my only spare, thankfully. Attacked by 5 or 6 sales people before I got to parts guy. Told him to order 2 new tires, as they don't stock them , and replace a vent cap that had broken. Asked him to cover vent as rain was expected, he hands me a thin plastic bag and masking tape.

That should have been the tipoff the I was dealing with people who don't care about their business. So they put the new tires on and call to say it ready. I can't get up there for another week, so I say , do the bearings also. So at least 2 people had their noses under the wheel well.

We'll I I go to pick-up and it takes them an hour to find my bill . I couldn't wait to get out of there. I get it up north and site it at my friends property. Look under the where the original tire blowout was and wheel well, galvanized steel torn back like a can opener!

Tenth of an inch, jagged metal resting near my new tires. 2 of the staff saw the damage and did nothing or said nothing. Called and complain, fell on deaf ears. Making excuses for his staff.

Pitiful.

Camping World - Warranty Review

I'm not one to rant but I had a terrible experience with Dean's RV (which became Camping World 3 days ago). We have always received excellent customer service in the service dept. I had a weird feeling when I took our trailer in for a few things that needed fixed a few weeks ago. I came home and told Jason I wasn't treated well. They made me take the trailer off myself which thankfully I knew how to do but I was in dress clothes....in the past, they always did this for me. I told them the trailer was still under extended warranty and things that were wrong. They called last week and said it was $366 and nothing was covered under warranty. We never received a call stating cost or anything before they fixed it. Jason emailed service Dept and never received a response back. I went to pick up today and asked to speak to a manager....they charged us $62 per fuse they replaced....which was 2. They are $2 and take 2 seconds to change. I questioned about our slide not closing completely and they charged $62 and said it was fine. SERIOUSLY?!?! Well.....the manager wouldn't come out and speak to me...but he sent the guy back to tell me that since Camping World took ownership 3 days ago there wasn't anything they could do about it bc it was serviced under Deans!!! So nonetheless I paid $366 and only about $150 was justifiable!! Then I went to hook up and they lost the pin and a cap was missing off of jack....they said I was out of luck!! WE WILL NEVER GIVE THEM OUR BUSINESS AGAIN!!! GOOD LUCK CAMPING WORLD BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT STAY IN BUSINESS LONG WITH THAT TYPE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Well we've had our 5th wheel down there since November 17 and still haven't got it back. We've called for days now and no one knows anything, they tell us the parts are in but they can't pull up our information on the computer.

I've heard that excuse now for three weeks, ours is brand new and under warranty.

No one returns your call. This is *** poor service.

Camping World in Woodstock, Georgia - Not a happy camper

3.1
Details
I am giving 2 stars for 1 Woodstock shipped our 2016 Keystone Carbon 5th wheel toy hauler from Florida because it was the floor plan we preferred 2 we got a descent trade value on our trade in. During our walk through my husband noticed the roof looked like it was coming unglued. The tech said that is how the roof is made it will not give use any problems. He did notated the roof issue. The awning was also leaking, they fix the awning (or so we thought). After we got the camper home I was cleaning it, detail cleaning I noticed light coming through the front corner of the garage, my husband noticed the slide was not installed correctly and the awning was still leaking. We returned the camper for repair. The slide and garige wher fixed properly, the awning still leaks. After our first trip we noticed the screen in the garage was halfway put in, this caused the screen to rip at the bottom. They only bolted one side of the L brackets on the screen frame. When my husband went out West this summer the roof started leaking, he thought maybe something damaged it. He repaired the roof when he retarded. We had the camper for one year during the trip. After our trip in the fall we seen the roof is being cut buy the air conditioner in the same place, do this mean our roof is coming unglued in the front and blowing up on the AC unit. Keystone warranty only cover the material of the roof not installer error. Keystone did say if we get the notation from Camping World they will replace the roof... Camping World can not find the notes from the sale. After the fall trip when my husband was coming off the floor he noticed the latter is separating from the camper at the top, now out of warranty we have a latter that we can not use. Some of the screws are only in the side, did not make contact with the studs. I love our camper it would be the perfect camper for my family if it did not have all these issues. We now have to pay $4, 000.00 for a new roof on a camper that is less then 2 years old.

This seems to be a common issue with the Carbons. Mine (327) and others that I know about have had issues with the roof coming unglued.

KEYSTONE SHOULD WARRANTY THE ISSUE.

HAve the dealer write up a complaint that indicates no other sources of water or contanimation - just poor glue from the factory.

Keystone will usually authorize a half-*** repair. Meaning a re-glue or a roof replacement without addressing how smooth the underlying OSB is.

Keystone has lost lawsuits on this issue due to poor subsequent repair loss of value.

Keystone has major delaminating issues with roof glue seam shortages and leakage my warranty said the roof was warranted for 2 years but we were forced to litigate. 7500 damage

Camping World - Customer Care Review

Do not deal with Camping World of Tallahassee, they are all crooks!!!! My husband is 100% disabled veteran. We have been looking for a RV for the past year, dealing with a salesman off and on. He was told repeatedly and witnessed how difficult it is for my husband to find toilet and drivers seat to accommodate him due to his disabilities. They brought a unit down from North Carolina for us to try, with the understanding that it must work for him. The unit does not work and now they will not refund us our deposit, and they deny any knowledge of my husbands specific needs. Do not do business with these crooks!!!!

Camping World in Idaho Falls, Idaho - Repair -?? please

1.0
Details
I purchased a 2016 Black rock on 11Jun 2016, at the Idaho Falls, Idaho store. And on the walk around the outdoor kitchen door was found to be warped. I was told they would order a door and I could stop by to have it installed or they could ship it out to a camping world near me. I had not heard of a status by 18 July and called to get an up date. I was told they were waiting for the stickers, I explained I did not need stickers just want it fixed prior to a extended trip beginning in Aug. Was told they would have to wait for stickers. Received a call on 12 Aug 2016 at 1332 from Corney, he said they have the door and the stickers and asked if I want to come to Idaho falls or ship the parts somewhere. I explained that we are now living in the camper at Hill AFB and could someone come out to install he said he would email the manager to get authorization to send someone out, I then explained that the inside oven does not work (the pilot light is too far away from the thermo couple), outdoor kitchen light does not work, the extended shelf next to sink broke, and the outdoor kitchen slide locks are not aligned properly. I need that fixed as well. He said he would get authorization and let me know. On 15 Aug 2016 at 1330 received a call from Cody Rave asking where they should ship the part to, I explained again what I explained to Corney (and Cody did not know the oven did not work) and said I needed someone to come out prior to 17 Aug to fix as we were heading out again. Now Cody did try and find someone however he did not find any one prior to us leaving he did try and find a place along the route to fix the oven but the place was along the route. 31 Aug 2016 at 1000 called to speak to Cody and Cody was on vacation. So I explained the whole story again to Ashley, she put me on hold and she said she took down notes and would try and get in contact with someone and get me a status of someone coming out to fix. I did not hear anything back so on 01 Sept called and spoke to Rob, and surprise had to explain all the issues to him he said he would try and call Cody and find out how to help. On 08 Sept I called and spoke to Wayne Davis and asked to speak to Cody, he said he would have Cody call me, he did not. On 09 Sept at 1300spoke to Wayne Davis he said he would schedule with the good sams people and have someone come out to my location and fix all my issues, I gave him the location where I would be on 14 Sept, he said they may be at my location as early as 0800, I said that would be fine. On 14 Sept at 1600 I called Wayne Davis on his cell phone number he gave me, but there was no answer I did leave a message asking on the status. On 15 Sept Wayne Davis called to give me a status update, he told me since this was warranty work it has to be fixed at a camping world location. I was not happy but told him I need these issues fixed so he asked when would be good, I decided on 26 Sept at the Camping world in Nashville, TN. I said we are living in camper so can I park in the parking lot sunday afternoon and plug in so I could avoid the traffic Monday morning. He said he would explain to the Nashville Camping world and have someone get me plugged in. And that all issues could be fixed in one day. On 20 Sept at 1421 I called the Nashville Camping world and spoke to Megan, she had no idea about any other issues other than the Outdoor kitchen door replacement, (also the door had not even arrived yet) also she said that there is no place to plug in my camper. so WOW. Now I have ended a trip early to be at a location because I thought people were coming to fix my camper and now I will have to fight Nashville traffic on Monday morning, which I was trying to avoid. I did pass the other issues to Megan at the Nashville Camping world however she not sure if they will have to order parts to fix the oven. This whole situation is extremely frustrating when it seems the Idaho Falls Camping world is unable to help get anything solved for me. Idaho Falls Camping world service people are either in need for training or in the wrong profession, or both. I am extremely upset at the horrible service I have received from the Idaho Falls location. I chose to purchase my camper from a camping world and it appears I made a mistake. The Nashville camping world people I spoke to are polite so I am looking forward to these issues getting fixed. Update-- 10 Dec 2016 2016 BlackRock Outdoors RV – ISSUES John L. Service was great I appreciate them getting me in and out

Great place to go. Stop by and see them in the store or at the service desk.

I had heard and seen some bad reviews I don't know what these people are talking about. Because for us they were very friendly and courteous, and it seemed like everyone there was happy to be there that is hard to find these days. I spoke to one of the sales people and they were not a pushy salesman and that is also hard to find.

Apparently the Managers are great leaders and have the staff trained to be positive and friendly to all that come in the store sales department and service department. Again if you are looking for an RV or need service go to Fayetteville.

Camping World in Charleston, South Carolina - Inept, inadequate, and sub-standard repairs and customer service

1.0
Details

Update by user Dec 19, 2016

I forgot to add that when we got our unit back there were multiple spots that had been damaged. An outlet that they weren't even working on was shattered, and the front bumper step into the engine compartment was broaden and needed replacing.

Original review posted by user Dec 18, 2016

My husband and I live in Charleston but purchased a class C Coachmen from out of town because Camping World is not a Coachmen dealer, and Coachmen had the floor plan we wanted. However, Camping World said they are a Coachmen Warranty Service Center and could handle our in or out of warranty needs. Good news, right? Well we had a major leak right out of the gate with this unit, so we took it to Camping World for repairs, along with a list of 20+ other, mostly minor, warranty items - like punch list items. Camping World has a good face up front; the service representative assigned to us did a walk through with us, took notes, and assured us she would see our repairs through from start to finish. However, 2 months later we still didn't have our unit, and I received no communication from our service rep - I had to call several times for an update and was told they were waiting on parts. We needed it for a planned travel, so they got 9 of the items done, including the leak repair which they say involved peeling back the rubber roof, re-glueing and re-sealing it. They said Forest River (Coachmen) had sent the wrong parts for the remainder of the items, which was not true as you will see later in this story. We picked up the unit to go on our trip and Camping World said they would call when the items were in. We went on our trip and on the way home, on the highway, the entire front half of the rubber roof peeled back off the unit! My husband had to duct tape it down, stopping every half hour or so to re-tape, in order to get us home. We took the unit back to Camping World and a month later we still didn't have our unit, and Camping World said that Forest River said the original roof repair as well as this one would not be covered. Camping World also claimed that Forest River AGAIN sent the wrong parts. This led me to contact Forest River, who told me the date they received the order for parts from Camping World, which was 3 months after I had dropped the unit off! Also, they weren't refusing to cover the leak repair, only the 2nd issue of the roof peeling back because they considered that to be Camping World's fault. We talked with Camping World again, in person, and funny thing - the parts guy admitted to not having ordered the parts until 3 months after we dropped it off! Gave me a sob story about how swamped he was, as if that was my problem! We had to hire an attorney to get Forest River and Camping World to fix this, as well as all our other items on the list; and even then they took over another month and constant follow up on our part to get the work done. We finally picked the unit up nearly 5 months after this all started, and half the punch list items were still not done. However, at that point we just wanted to get our unit away from Camping World. We will never deal with Camping World of Charleston again, for any reason; not even to buy toilet chemicals!
