Camping World Rv Repair Review from Grimes, Iowa

Camping world stole are bathroom door and sold it to another customer. They lied to us and we're waiting for two months for simple repairs. That was last year. This year they have had are camper since November 15 and I still don't have are camper and its April 25 2****. They thought it was done so I went over to camping world and my camper had other things broken inside my camper that wasn't broken before the receive it. I would never buy from them again.

Not only does the service such....so does the managment that does not practice the company values and treats thier employees like *** and take complete advantage of quality people. Working salaried people like dogs and forcing them to live at work and if you dont work 6 days a week and 70 hours your job is on the line. And also if your not kissing the *** of managment ....your going no where. Double standards, what is good for one....someone else will get wrote up for... If your looking for job stability and a career path...do not work for this place. Its a shame the people who run these stores dont practice the values of the people that own them. The founder of camping world that recently passed is probably rolling over in his grave completely ashamed of the leadership running these stores. They dont care about the people at all, they only care about money not realizing that if you care about the people....people will care about their jobs and be way more productive and the numbers will show themselves. Treat your people like *** and they dont care either ...they come to make a paycheck. Sad that companys allow human adults to be treated this way.

Generator Problem caused by Camping World

I took my RV to camping world to have my extended warranty transfer to another RV, it had been inspected by camping world and passed. However, there was an issue they wanted to readdress, so I took it back in for a final inspection. At this time it was discovered that there was some damage on the side of the vehicle that happened while taking the vehicle into camping world, it needed repaired. So I left the vehicle with camping world for three months, when I got my RV Back and started up the generator in ran for 40 minutes then cut off. I did this several times with the same results, I had the generator worked on prior to the inspection so I know the generator was in great working shape. However, I don't think camping world exercised the generator while it was in their custody and as a result the generator gummed up or the fuel pump is clogged, now I have to pay another 2-3 hundred dollars to have this repaired. All of my emails to Camping World customer service in reference to this problem has gone unanswered. I will present the bill, once the Gen is fixed, to your office in hopes I can get a refund.

I am writing this because I feel I was terminated for unfair reasons. i have been a Camping World employee for 25 years in various positions including service installer(5.5 yrs), shop supervisor and service manager for about(15yrs), and a product specialist for approx. 5 yrs. During that time I've relocated 6 times and was a traveling service mgr. for about 4 months. I have always been a good employee, with excellent progress reviews. I lead by example and my product, service, and membership sales have consistently been either at the highest or near the highest in every store i have worked. My last store in Coburg was no different. My attendance was near perfect. I was late for work one time, but was early almost every day as well as stayed late if needed. I was out of work on medical for about 11 months for complication from open heart surgery. In a coma for 4mos, and cardio and motor/muscle in patient rehab for 4 mos. 3 more months outpatient rehab. All this to learn how to walk, talk and use my left hand again(from a stroke suffered during surgery). The Drs. said I would never work again, but I proved them wrong, only to be fired after 10 months. Brian Morgan wrote me up 3 times for 3 different reasons, none of which I repeated. I just don't understand the reason I was fired, nor do I agree with it. If someone would look at my record I believe it backs me up on this. also to terminate an employee that has devoted so much time to a company and not even offer a severance package or extended health care benefits is just not right. I would like someone to look into this. I feel like i was discarded like a piece of garbage. I loved my job and my customers loved me. I got a long with almost everyone. I think they got rid of me because of my salary and my medical problems. Speaking of salary, they refused to pay me the commissions I collected on about 8 prepays I did, saying they don't pay till they close out. Since they fired me before they closed them out, i heard Brian Morgan paid them to the other product specialists. If he could pay my commissions to them, why not me? I admit I did have to miss some work here and there for medical appointments, but I always came to work after and made up the hours on other days. I would be willing to go threw arbitration, or just be happy to get my job back. Thank you for your time and consideration. They will fire you at the drop of a hat, if you're not friends or family of upper management. I've seen so many great employees lose their jobs for made up offenses. Yet, the sales mangers son was caught selling drugs on company property, was not ordering parts for the shop and advisors while he was parts manger, and did not get fired.

I feel so bad for you! I am an employee who is on FMLA and they cut my pay from salary and commission to $12.25 hour.

I have started a claim against camping world for this. Here is the number for labor and industries civil department, 971-673-****.

They were not shocked by my call and said it was in my best interest to get the paperwork back to them right away so they could start their investigation. Hope this helps, good luck.

Warrenty Work Sucks

Trailer as been at Camping world for over 2 months doing warranty work. Three weeks ago they said the repairs had been approved by the factory (keystone) and the parts should arrive in 2 weeks (only took 2 months to get that far). Service is pathetic to say the least time frame sucks if they have a back log like this they should tell you up front. I guess when I get ready to purchase another trailer it will not be from Camping World.

Been a camping world member for a few years now . We decided to give them first shot at showing us a new camper . After the second camper I could tell the salesman was uneasy and was rushing us . I told him this was a big investment and we would sleep on everything we find . He actually said and I quote, " This is Saturday our biggest sale day , I'm missing sales . When the lot gets full I'll hafta help other customers. ........ WTH ! Also the lot was so full of unorganized campers that the salesman couldn't find what wax on his list ! I will not be a member anymore and the salesman down the street that took time to show me some trailers got my money !!!

Does anyone work in parts???

Just try contacting their parts dept by phone (877-738-****). I only reach someone once out of every four tries or so. You are supposed to leave a message, and when you do they never call back. I finally reached the parts manager, and she could not even find her team, so she too had me leave yet another message. Amazing. This company is owned by a man who has a great TV show (The Profit) which fixes broken process in companies. It looks like he needs to do a little work on his own company. When I have gone into the store (after giving up on calling) I always feel like I am walking into someones private clubhouse. As I near the parts counter, I am usually greeted with a disinterested look, start telling the salesperson what I need only to be interrupted by another employee that takes my salesperson away to help them find something. I really am starting to hate going to the store except it is the only one for miles around, and the closest competitor is not much better.

Useless extended warranty

When I had a problem with my covered RV on the road last summer, I called the # shown on my policy (weekday, before 5 pm) and was put on hold until my cellphone died. No person, no voicemail, so no help. After taking my own action & getting home, called them again. After several various contacts, found out that my problem was excluded (per pg.6 of contract). I had only received 4 pages of the contract; asked for the other pages - still waiting 6 months later. Absolutely disgusted; want my money back. What good is an extended warranty, if you can't find out what's covered and being able contact someone or leave message 24/7 when you need them.

To be quite frank, the service at Camping World Berkley, MA is absolutely terrible. We brought our camper in for warranty service in November. They not only didn't do what they were supposed to, they charged the manufacturer and did more damage. Upon realizing this, the service manager Craig not only argued with us about it, he lied and said they did do what they were supposed to. Upon giving him photos of what he didn't do and contacting the manufacturer, he finally returned our calls and made arrangements to replace the defective items. Upon return, the personnel did major damage to our unit. Go elsewhere unless you are independently wealthy and do not pass attention to what they do (don't do).

Bought a 2015 cherokee limited put 346 miles on it just a mile from home the whole rear axle assembly on the drivers side blew apart. Well i called the towing package they give you well the first guy said no problem will set up a tow, well when i called back i got a no we will send a mobile mechanic to fix it but you pay his mileage back and labor and parts. Well fast forward got it back to Lowell Arkansas camping world now over 30 days the axle assembly is sitting on a pallet to ship but no valid reason why its not been sent off to be replaced and the rest of the repairs that needed to be done by the axle blowing apart havent even been addressed. The general manager Shawn wont return phone calls either. Buy your Rv from anyone else but camping world odds are you'll get better service after the sale.

We purchased a 2016 Cougar Xlite travel trailer at a RV Expo in Sept,we were told that the camper needed to be built and would receive in about weeks.Excited for the phone call we drove with our trade in for 3 hours to find it was not what we ordered!Wrong color.and all manual.(even a hand crank).the camper we ordered was ALL set up with just a remote.WHY wouldn't they call us to say the color changed or there was an issue..DO THEY NOT have our paperwork to check it out before contacting us??In the mean time (as we were very angry)they were dismantling our truck and trade in before we even new if we were gonna take it!They said to us WELL were giving you a King bed and stone counter tops!!! THATS WHAT I ORDERED!!!(like they did us a favor)They finally agreed to put on the hydraulic leveler and stablizers and promised to deliver camper to us.Today we received !12-4-15(3 months Later)and the camper is a joke!!! all exposed wires hanging from each leveler they shake when putting down...Buttons installed on outside of camper to lower when a remote was what was ordered.We called them back saying this was unacceptable and their response was something like to bad !! We called corporate..they asked what do you want us to do?WE want our old camper back and our deposit or find us what we ordered!!!this was the Harrisburg, Pa Campers World...This is the 5th camper we've owned and the worst experience Ever..........Mistyiz0115@***.net

My experience with Camping World Harrisburg has been a NIGHTMARE since I paid them cash for a brand new travel trailer at the Hershey rv show in September. I would NEVER RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE INCOMPETANT PEOPLE!!!
