Camping World - Extorted higher price unless we joined their club

We are senior citizens whose home burned. We were forced to buy a heated hose from Camping World because the water was frozen in the temporary Camper we have to live in. If you do not have water you also do not have sewerage or cooking. Camping World refused to sell it to me on Saturday because "Parts isn't open today". Monday they quoted me a price for a 50' hose. I took it to the register and was told I would have to join a club or pay 25% more for the hose. (160.00) When I agreed but stipulated that I did not want to get ads in the mail they refused to sell it to me. An arguement ensued and I told the clerk that I hoped one day she would meet my circumstances and receive the same lousy treatment. The manager demanded I leave. I finished paying the extortion, took the hose and left.

Camping World in Fort Myers, Florida - CERTIFICATE OF TITLE SAID 2010 GET BACK OHIO FIND OUT IT WAS A 2009

1.0
Details
WE WANT WHAT WE PAID FOR. WE WERE TOLD BY OUR SALESMAN THAT THE MOTOR HOME WE PURCHASED WITH CASH WAS A 2010, BUT WHEN WE GOT HOME OUR INSURANCE AGENT STATED THAT THE VIN REGISTERED AS A 2009. WE HAVE ALL THE PAPERWORK FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER VERIFYING THAT THE CAMPER IS A 2009. CAMPING WORLD SOLD ME A 2009 SAYING IT WAS A 2010. THE LOCATION OF THIS CAMPING WORLD IS 4681 WAYCROSS RD FORT MYERS FL 339O6. WE CAN SEE HOW THIS MAY HAVE GOTTEN BY THE SALESPERSON, BUT IT SHOULD'VE NEVER GOTTEN BY TERRANCE, THE FINANCE PERSON. HOW CAN WE MAKE THIS RIGHT? WE BELIEVE WE ARE OWED THE DIFFERENCE IN THE VALUE OF A 2009 VS. A 2010. WE WOULD APPRECIATE A RESPONSE TO OUR INQUIRY. MR LOUIS HINES

I'm not saying this is the case, but I use to process titles for a dealer in Indiana. We would sell RV's to customers in Ohio Which were 1 model year newer then the chassis.

Ohio does not tiltle motorhomes, they title chassis. For example, you could have a 2010 Winnebago on a 2009 Ford Chassis. Indiana and most other states would title the unit as a 2010 Winnebago. Ohio will want to title it as a 2009 Ford.

Could be the case. Hopes this helps

Camping World - Customer Care Review

Camping World in Coburg should be shut down. The people who supposedly "work" there are absolute phonies and idiots, and they know nothing about anything pertaining to campers, wiring, air bag systems, nor do they have the parts necessary to do basic projects or repairs. They don't sell 10 gauge wire or ground-connectors and they're just idiots. It fascinates me that the place gets anything accomplished to turn a profit in the least considering the people there are just dumb. Unbelievable!

Camping World - One Lie Followed by Another!

My wife and I traveled over 4 hours from Nashville, even stayed overnight to beat the weather, got financed, and paid for our 1st year of insurance to conclude the used camper that was "promised" to be perfect - had SEVERE floor rot!!! This was not represented on the CW webpage, nor was it ever disclosed prior to our arrival. Moreover, Mike the Internet Sales Manager, swore to the great condition of this unit. From this point, it was one lie after another. Sales Associate, Randy Lapidus shuttled my wife & I around their beloved 40 acre lot, in circles, for over 40 minutes. Presumably, looking for possible substitutes; however, no such campers ever materialized. BUT! Don't overlook Randy's charm. He almost had us convinced that CW was going to make everything right, even if it meant that they would eat a loss. He promised! (Really?) Consequently, the final deal we would contemplate was to buy a New camper! Again, we made an agreement. $14,794 out the door - not a penny more. But! Much to their apparent business ethics, another lie was awaiting our already distressing experience. BUYER BEWARE! The final amount on the paperwork was almost $16k!!! Happy to say "NO DEAL WAS MADE, NOR WILL BE". We are hopeful that our few hundred dollars in *** tax will save someone who reads this - thousands! I Highly - DO NOT RECOMMEND. There is a reason this business has been operating for 38 years and it is not accredited by the BBB. Do your research! We wish we did....

Camping World of Greenwood BE ADVISED!!!!! READ THIS BEFORE Buying from CW

1.3
Details
My name is Jake Norman. iv'e worked for camping world for a long time and cannot stand how they break the LAW and treat their employees and customers like trash and take advantage of them at every corner. If you buy a rv from CW they will not sell it to you unless you finance, otherwise its a $3000 charge for paying cash cause their losing money on the back end thru finance. Then they will charge you $1100 to have the unit prepped but don't actually do it. They don't put a battery on it or safety check it or replace battery in smoke alarm or co2 det. Then they will purposely hide all the damage on the unit and promise everything to sell it and management actually instructs their employees to stand in front of damaged areas that their trying to hide and employees are told to lie to customer about many things, alot of which is specific to each unit. Then they blast you thru the demo in 30min trying to avoid teaching you anything. CW management actually trains their employees to do this. You will also be repeatedly hustled to buy whats called "paint and fab", i cant believe their are people out there that really pay that much money to get it but CW sells it all the time several every week. its their bread and butter. They charge between $2000-$5000 depending on the unit and they tell you the unit will be hand buffed and a bunch of other lies and ***. You can do it yourself for $10-$20 not $5000 and it only takes a couple minutes. Camping World tells their customers that it takes many hours and they hide the unit in the back and won't let anyone bring it up front to the customer per sales managers and finance managers cause it only takes 10min to complete. All they do is wipe down all the fake leather inside the unit with leather cleaner polisher to make it shine and then they spray a foam on the outside and immediately rinse it off. LMAO!!!!!!! And if you own a full body paint or are planning on buying one from them, its guaranteed to get scratched all to ***. They only hire degenerates with no high school diplomas and pay minumum wage but charge the customer beyond top dollar and refuse to supply wash bay with the tools they need. So they leave their brush heads laying on the ground and then immediately pick them up and put them on a full body paint with all kinds of pebbles and debris trapped in the bristles. Not to mention you cant wash full body paint with a brush. You can ONLY use lambs wool pads. Otherwise you will make the unit look like its been buffed with a dirty buff pad. Which is exactly what CW makes their units look like. Litteraly 90% of the time they wont even have the rv finished being prepped or washed when you get their to see it. Its absolutely rediculous how money hungry and greedy these people are and its not just the greenwood location, its all their locations. Everyone gets trained to do it the same way. Its a shame that they actually have to go to the extent of lying and stealing from their employees as well to make those billions every year. CW lies to you and tells you they only hire master certified and rvia certified techs but they only hire minumum wage workers who know nothing about rvs. their first day at CW is their first time seeing an rv. All of CW employees either used to sell cars or work on cars. They know nothing about RV'S. CW'S management at greenwood location should be put in jail for all the illegal crimes they commiut to get rich of their customers and employees. dominick is sales manager and butch long is service manager.

I was under the impression your concerns had been addressed and we gave the local CW store authorization for the repairs that you told us about? This post seems not to tell the whole story.

Camping world of Avondale AZ is a joke for their service.

WE brought our 2005 workhorse Class A to have five things fixed. We bought the parts before hand. We wanted shocks put on, airbags installed, three switches replaced on the parking break, head lights aligned and oil changed in transmission. After 9 weeks of excuses the were only able to get the shocks put on and the airbags installed. for a cost of $1400. The original estimate was alot less and their untruthfulness from the service people to the sales manager is something they are trained to do. NEVER do any business with camping world because they don't care about the customer. There only interest is how much they can stick the consumer for. This place promises to keep you informed but they never do. Go some place else and read reviews and tell your RV friends.

Camping World - Rv Repair Review

Poor quality service and shoddy workmanship. Had my RV in for some rather routine Warranty repairs, bath countertop replacement. They installed the countertop on crooked, not near level, my 10 year old could have done a better job. Replaced a recliner and tore the new living room floors up. Also dented my fridge door in the process and ordered the wrong fridge door part to replace. Replaced floor covering but now they are bubbling up. Horrible place to have even the simplest repairs done. They actually damaged more than they repaired. Will never go back. Zero in a scale of 1-5.

Bob in Buffalo. Blowout on a tire on my A-liner near Rochester on my way to ADK park .

Made it to camping world in Syracuse on my only spare, thankfully. Attacked by 5 or 6 sales people before I got to parts guy. Told him to order 2 new tires, as they don't stock them , and replace a vent cap that had broken. Asked him to cover vent as rain was expected, he hands me a thin plastic bag and masking tape.

That should have been the tipoff the I was dealing with people who don't care about their business. So they put the new tires on and call to say it ready. I can't get up there for another week, so I say , do the bearings also. So at least 2 people had their noses under the wheel well.

We'll I I go to pick-up and it takes them an hour to find my bill . I couldn't wait to get out of there. I get it up north and site it at my friends property. Look under the where the original tire blowout was and wheel well, galvanized steel torn back like a can opener!

Tenth of an inch, jagged metal resting near my new tires. 2 of the staff saw the damage and did nothing or said nothing. Called and complain, fell on deaf ears. Making excuses for his staff.

Pitiful.
