Camping World - Poor Customer Service

Purchased Thor 25.2 motor home August 28th 2016 The A/C did not work and the battery was going dead and had to be jumped. The service manager told me to take it to a Ford Dealer I waited two weeks for a appointment the Ford dealer said it was a Thor problem. I brought it directly to Camping World of Berkely the service manager,who lacked people skills, said he could not look at it for at least a week I left it and it took 3 months to locate and fix the problem,I missed the fall season and it had to be winterized Have not used it yet and it is January 26,2017

I bought a Vegas 2018 with 22,000 miles and thought I had problems until I read your review: The awning didn't work (part missing), the hot water heater didn't work ( 3 separate adjustments were made until we learned how to work it don't use city water coming out of the ground--it is too cold for the heater); the underbed drawers kept opening while on the road; lining inside the shower is coming off,needs to be re attached.

Camping World - Be leery of Camper World of Jacksonville

I spent the a huge amount of time over the last two days trying to negotiate a price for the rig I wanted. I had to do this by email as I live a few hours away and could not easily get there to look at it. I very carefully saved all of my emails as I wanted everything in writing if I traveled to complete the purchase and it was not what we had agreed. Sure enough, they tried the old bait and switch on me but I caught them before I traveled (probably wanted to avoid a lawsuit). I found what I needed at another Camper World dealer who tried the same thing, but they wanted the business so they found what they had told me they had (but didn't) in the first place. I wonder what will happen when I go to finalize the deal this weekend? Anyway, be leery of Camper World of Jacksonville.

They are not done with you yet.

When you go they will try to sign you up hoping that you don't notice the $1,900 extra fee's that they have added.

Camping World - Rv Repair Review

Camping World has been "trying" to fix our motor home since August. Some of The repairs were finally made in December 2016, but in our first trip we discovered that IF they were fixed at all, they are not working now!! They won't return phone calls, lie to you while looking straight at you, and don't like "surprise visits". While dealing with this mess we have seen two general managers leave as well as service managers. They must order parts from China.....it took them 6/7 weeks to get the parts only to advise us that they were the "wrong" parts. We are now into the 4th week waiting on new parts which probably won't be right either. We are full-time RVers so it is extremely hard to deal with us. We were initially told that since we were full time they would do everything they could to speed up the repairs. If this is "speedy"...I'd hate to see "slow"!!!!!! How about we ban together in a class a class action law suit???!!!

Camping World - Rv Repair Review

I was told to take my Heartland Gateway to Chichester NH store for a ton of warrenty work . First time was lied to and misinformed . Some stuff was fixed , some I was BS on . Took it back to get the rest worked on and was told yes we can handle these repairs . I decided to move forward with the reoairs . I waited a month after dropping it off and after 5 differant service personel involved in the talks with Heartland and myself it was passed on to a manager who stated since you have so many repairs I will be handling your trailer . Well time moved on to no avail . I contacted Heartland and " surprise " after one month no new repair request were sent to them . I contacted Camping World and yes got no response . I then contacted corporate who asked where it was . I told them to have a Rep from NH get in touch with me . I told them I would rather not as I fear more issues with the service . They in turn told me they could not help without a location . Reluctantly I gave it to them . Well the next day I got an email from the manager which stated ( we finished the origional repairs and feel its in your best interest to send it back to factory ) . Well I facebooked Camping World and slammed them . I received a message asking for contact info so they could reach me . I graciously provided it ( over a week ago ) and as all Camping World dealings ( yes you guessed it ) no response ! All you get is someone will get in touch with you or we expedited your problem . I wish Maurice was available cause I bet he would fire everyone for creating a *** sandwich with the Camping World name on it !

Believe me, Marcus knows and does not care. He is the biggest phony I have ever seen.

His TV shows make him look like a saint, but I worked for him and he could care less about any of his employees or their well being or families. His entire management team are so $ driven that they have forgotten about the human aspect of employing people. He is a bully through and through. Do business as far away from Camping World as possible and pass the word around.

They stole $25,000 from me ( a former employee) and I got the same treatment you and everyone else gets..."we'll get back to you." And I was ignored. Absolute *** of the earth!

Camping World in Hope Mills, North Carolina - Requesting parts

I went to the Camping world here in Fayetteville, NC, I was looking for some parts and information for my camper. I was greeted by a lady at the parts department who told me i needed to speak to the guy behind her. I explained to him i needed vent covers for my camper. He went on to explain what information i needed in a rude manner. As i pulled up the required information from the photos on my phone the guy completed ignored me. I looked at the lady and she just shrugged her shoulders. The guy wouldn't respond to me then he was on the phone. After 15 minutes i had enough of the nonsense. Who ever that guy was needs a class on customer service and respect to people. At no point did i ever give him a reason to treat me like that. I have since found another RV repair place that i will conduct my business with. This one employee cost you a customer.

Camping World - Salesman untrustworthy

We had been talking with a sales man for a couple of weeks about a used RV at Camping world of Little Rock. We phoned on Saturday morning and and talked to our salesman Tim B. He said come on over I have the unit here waiting on you. Now mind you we were 2 1/2 hours away. We drove there and were informed that Tim was busy and could not wait on us. Oh and by the way the unit we had just drove 2 1/2 hours to buy was sold!!!. Really? I asked repeatedly to talk to Tim B. but to no avail . They would not get him. They had another sales man show us a unit for $6000.00 more, the floor was so soft it probably would not have made it home. The unit was junk. I asked again to see Tim B. no luck he wasn't going to face us. So we drove 2/12 hours back home . The sales manager behind the counter did not even take the time to get up from the counter, he just sat there. Showing me a piece of paper saying we just sold that unit! that's all he'd say. We still have not heard from the salesman. Not on the drive home, and not for two days afterwards. On Monday morning I received a call from the Little Rock Campers worlds management team. My ears were still burning so I did not get his name. He stated to me that I was lying and that my salesman had asked me to put a deposit up before we drove there. No NO he did not. I will take a lie detector to prove it. He is covering his butt! This company has no respect for the people who they deal with and I feel that these actions are condoned by management, or we would have been offered a bottle of water, a gift card from the camping store something , instead we were out over 6 hours of our day $50.00 in fuel, and on the way back we got a rock in our wind shield and cracked it. I know not there problem, but put yourself in my shoes. If they would have called when it sold we could have turned around. But they did not care. They still do not care they tried to turn it around on us saying we were in the wrong. really I had a wad of cash to buy your RV and they it's sold. Almost sounds like bait and switch. The only thing is we would not take there bait. Be Leary of dealing with the sales department at this Campers world.

I hear your anger im dealing with same thing in Sacramento CA. I even bought my first rv with them and getting treated like this !!! Never trust camping world again !!!

Camping World - Wolfgang Puck Oven Review

I bought a Wolfgang puck oven from Camping World last year. It stopped working! The manufacture told me that Camping World was NOT an authorized dealer and because I purchased this from them, I could not use my warrantee! Camping World refused to help me, offered a 25 gift card, then never responded after that! They are selling products that ARE NOT WARRANTEEd! Do not buy!! They are not authorized dealers.

Bad service at Camping World

Details
First took our new Jayco Motor home to Camping World to get a leak fixed and the front passenger slide out that was hitting the awning. Took them 3 weeks and they didn't move the awning so the slide out would not hit. Took 2nd time to get awning moved so the slide out would not hit it and the levelers were not working correctly. They moved the top of awning over and didn't move the bottom so it is crooked now and the awning rolls up crooked the levelers still not level the motor home they had it over 2 weeks. Took a 3rd time to get the keyless door lock replaced said we could wait as it should only take 30-45 min to do well it took 2 1/2 hrs and when they said it was ready we could not get the door open!!! Well they took it back and 30-40 min later they grinded out the door facing and it still does not work correctly. We will not be taking our RV back to Camping World!!!
