I wish I had looked at reviews before I purchased my new RV. Since day one, I have had numerous issues with camping world of Katy, Tx : 1. on RV survey- they did not show me the hot water valve behind a wall, how the TV system works( it took me hours to find the valve that was turned off) 2. They send the wrong amount and check to my DMV and I had to pay and get send check back to CW and get reimbursed ( a real pain) 3. LED light on front is out and I have been waiting since late january for replacement 4. Passenger window screen was missing and I have been waiting since late january for replacement 5. exterior storage lock does not work and I called manufacturer and he told me I would have in 3 days and it has been over 10 at this point. For the price of this RV, the material is very cheap but looks good. I have only owned this RV for 40 days, what problem am I going to have next!!!! One positive- when I call Thor warrantly, they really good and efficient in helping you .

I will back up the previous poster about *** SERVICE at Camping World (in Golden, Colorado). If you buy new, and the camper needs repairs, I WOULD NOT TAKE THE CAMPER OFF THE LOT OR PAY FOR IT UNTIL ALL REPAIRS ARE COMPLETE!!!! Dudley, the Service Manager, has been rude, has not called back, lied to me, told me broken things don't need fixing, and he didn't fix what Camping World committed to in writing, etc. even when their own people identified the problem....in writing, and committed to fixing it. I will NEVER EVER buy another camper from Camping World again! Donnie, the General Manager of the store, also hasn't called back when called multiple times. The sales folks bend over backwards to make the sale. They seem friendly and are knowledgeable. The service department though is about to become a source of lawsuits against the company (in my opinion). And Dudley's rude attitude toward me didn't help! Posted February 2017.

Same thing happened to us. The sale went great but service was horrible. Seeing all these reviews regarding Camping World's service departments all over the country, you have to think that their service people must all go to a special class to learn how to lie to and ignore their customers.

I have had my camper in for repairs since 2012 and here it is Feb. 2017, I just got my file today and I am taking it elsewhere.

I took it out during the summer months for camping and brought it back in fall to get repairs done.

This is the worse place ever to get anything serviced. They lied to me and told me my warranty place was called and never was done.

NO THIS IS NOT RESOLVED! March 13,2017, that has been on their lot since July 29,2016 for a step repair, went to pick up my RV as noted by the Service Manager and Service Rep, I have now paid for the second time for the set of awning arms, when this service location initially installed the arms and they did not work when we got home, then when I bring it back for warranty, the arm has now been bent and they claim that is not their issue and I would have to pay to install new arms but they would pay for the labor, then there was a charge for $220 to install and replace the battery box and battery core charge, then I finally get a walk through yesterday with my persistence to check out, and it is noted when you open the battery door all the components were as factory installed, duh?, nobody wanted to take the time to open the door even after many requests from me on what was the work done and who made the decision to do this work, duh, the managers did not go and physically check the unit for work done, the managers claims since the unit was repaired before he was an employee at this location he is not responsible for any and all charges to the unit, when I requested for the walk through papers that were done upon arrival, he told me they were now archived and cannot be recovered to check for the issues on the RV when delivered July 29, 2016,

went to pick up the RV and asked for a walk through, the work had not been completed and now I am being charged another $1000 to pay to repair the work they did not do the first or second time. I am lost as to how to deal with such a scam. My RV has been on their site since July 29, 2016 today is February 21, 2017

I have been doing business with Camping world for more than a decade, and the service is all good with smiles at the service counter, but once they have your RV you never know what you will be charged for, what will be fixed and not, just charged for, when will it be ready, I took the RV in May 2016 and the wait began, they are the largest repair service around the US and it takes forever to get parts ordered, I had work done and picked up in July 2015, and did not do a walk through before picking it up, very bad decision we were so distraut just got out of there, oh they garanteed all is good and ready to go, and then went out of state to find out the work was not functional, then I report it to the Camping World and tell them I cannot get back till July 2016, not a problem we will honor your problem and see you then, so I take it in July 2016 and in February 2017 I get a phone call and the RV is ready, no go through the walk through no, not working, work has been noted and recorded on the work-order, now they claim it is out of warranty, but it has been sitting on their lot for six months waiting repairs, what do you do, how much more do you do than complain on this site, this is a huge financial situation to pay for what you already paid for and the work was not completed, they have the RV

Was looking to buy a new travel trailer yesterday in fairfield ohio. Got treated nice no problems. Looked at some used and new campers. Looked at the prices that are on the tables In campers $21,995 ok cool i like that price. I told sales guy ill be paying cash so whts cash price out the door ? He said u dont get it any cheaper then the price we have it listed also he said we charge a extra $1000 on top of full price for a finace fee. Since ur not fincaning it with a bank we are losing money and we need that extra $1000. *** that sht. They should be shut down.

Every time I have been to Camping World I have been treated like an unwelcome guest their staff are very unfriendly and slow to accommodate with an arrogant attitude Their prices are high even with good Sams discount Their service department jerks you around and are slow to do your work It's never easy to get your RV in for repairs If at all possible I will not be going back to Camping World for anything

You must be talking about Camping World of Syracuse! That whole place is run by clowns.

The service there is god awful just like the rest of the 100+ of their dealerships. I had multiple issues with them and the Regional Manager is Kevin Bostrom who is king of the clowns! I have no idea how the upper management at CW cannot see that this guy is a disaster! He is a pig farmer on the side and I bought some of his pork and it was disgusting and made me throw up for 3 days so he can't even manage pigs.

That explains where he got his girlfriend who I met one time there. Talk about a pig!

He should only be allowed to manage the Coke machine in the back of the store. Go anywhere but Camping World for anything RV related!

Went to camper show tampa 3 weeks ago picked out a camper they promised toppers for camper and a fifth wheel hitch we put 500 hundred down to hold that was jan 20th they give a posti note for deposite then next day my wife had to drive 25 miles to get reciept then they kept writing up wrong camper she had to go back 2 times to the camper show i called on a tuesday they havent even started on deal so another day passes they call still working on your deal another day passes said you got financed. But for this amount ok we spend a whole day finding a different camper then they call back agian no you have to go cheaper we have talked to 3 different people for three weeks the wost service i have ever had i have watched marcus lumuses shows thought he would have a better company then that very disipointed in camping world of tampa very poor service i think they promised us things and could not step up to the plate. Just found out camping world just lied to me when I bought my TV from them. I bought an RV that was less than a year old, but used and they repeadeldly said they would check it's condition..just found out 3 years later I need a whole new roof costing $13 ,000. I asked them to check the roof when I bought it and they told me it was OK. Then when I got it home the person doing the roof maintenance noticed it and informed me of the roof problem...it was all the staples coming out under the rubber roof. The salesman, service manager, and manager all said there is nothing they can do because it has been 3 years)even though they know they sold me a Montana RV with a bad roof and they know it. Has anyone else had such a bad experience buying an RV? My wife has Multiple Sclerosis and I have been struggling with her medical issue's for some years now and now I feel they kicked me when I am down by not standing behind theirm mistake. So my question is has anyone else been so blatantly lied to and cheated by camping world?

Service department head Tracy Smith, does not follow up on work, call customers back, or schedule pickups. Repairs are not completed because when Tracy is told what the problem is, it doesn't get relayed to men doing the repairs. If you in the process of buying they are all over you, afterwards your invisible.....

Our camper was purchased from camping world December 23 we had to bring it back for service December 27 we picked it up on February 8 and not all the repairs have been done in the meantime Tracy Smith service manager never once returned any of our six calls she said she would that day. My husband had to make visits to camping world to get an update on our camper. The answers he got were ridiculous it took six weeks to five small issues. When I finally called and said it was ready and we went down there to pick it up it still was not ready and not completed. Their customer service sucks and their service department sucks nobody knows what anybody is doing there is no quality control no follow up on the work being done to make sure it's done right. Don't bring your camper there to be serviced and less you want headaches and aggravation.

The rest of the staff apologized for the lack of good customer service an oversight on the work that was being done. No apology from Tracy.

I'm surprise she still working there. We have since brought our camper back to be repaired.

The water pump would not prime because the shower valve with elite evidently it was damaged during our cold winter park at camping world. They fixed it and returned it to us in less than a week which was great we were very happy to get our camper right back quickly.

Have had my 5th wheel in for repairs since December 1st, 2016 today February 8th 2017. You've received the 10k from insurance company been waiting 3 weeks for the last item a door to be installed. How many doors can be made in 3 weeks. Ocala Florida is all a bunch of liars and all worried about whose skirt to chase. Its like payton place atmosphere, and serious issues from management not to respond. I work for a global company and we CERTAINLY don't forget the C in customer. Do not go to Ocala Florida
