Camping world sucks . Don't need to say no more. Please save yourself some heart ache. Go elsewhere to purchase a trailer. Keystone products are junk. Bottom of the line . We paid 40,000 for a piece of junk.

Chattanooga Camping World A JOKE

2.3
Details
Several months ago my family and I decided to buy a travel trailer. Since we are Disney veterans and were tired of staying at the resorts we started looking for the perfect trailer. Well it started the second you walk into the Chattanooga Camping World. I thought I was back in basic training when the drill sergeants ran at you and started drilling you. They wanted my name, # and what I was doing there. So the smart *** I am I gave them a fake name and # just to get past them to look at RV's. Keep in mind the entire time several sales men were driving around the lot in golf carts just staring at us. To say the least this pissed me off even though we found the RV we wanted. So we left. On a business trip the following week in FL we decided to stop by the Camping World in Kissemmee FL. A very nice lady by the name of Jane introduced herself and stated if we needed anything she was right her and for the family to enjoy looking at all the inventory. So we did. We kept walking back to the same one we looked at in Chattanooga. Keep in mind we live 10 minutes from the Chattanooga store. We then left getting Jane's card which I called the following week and told her I would take it. That week back home I wanted to measure something in the bunk so I had to drive back to Chattanooga. Again telling them a fake name and # just to get by all the sales people at the front door. I told them that I was buying my camper from FL and just needed to look at something. 10 minutes later the manager came out and started bashing the FL Camping World and said they are horrible and I needed to buy from them. I just smiled and left. Following week was back in FL and picked up my trailer. EXCEPTIONALLY great customer service Jane!!! Fast forward to today, I just called Chattanooga to get a spare tire since I thought I purchased one but didn't. My fault. The service department just told me to call a clutch place downtown that they don't sell spares they only get them for customers? Confused, I asked what am I? She stated it isn't going to happen and have a nice day. I am blown away Camping World corporate does not hire or have someone go to each store and witness the management and customer service they provide. From the spare tire to the attacking of a potential customer to the management bad talking other stores is just a big JOKE. If my RV needs service or when I decide to trade up, I guarantee Chattanooga Camping World will never be on the list to purchase. It's a crying shame Jane in FL works for the same company and has excellent customer service EVEN AFTER THE SALE compared to the goat ranch in Chattanooga.

Camping World - Very Poor Customer Service

2.0
Details
My husband and I saw a TV commercial about a Camping World sale that ran from 2/15/17-2/26/17. I called the closest location and the woman confirmed that the sale was going on. We drove 45 miles to that location, which was out of state. We looked at numerous travel trailers in a lower lot and finally called them and asked for a sales person to assist us. We were told they would send someone but that all campers that weren't sold were unlocked for us to see inside. We spent close to 1.5 hrs. going through the available travel trailers in 2 different lots. Finally went up to main building and I let receptionist know that we had called 1.5 hrs. ago asking for assistance but no one ever came. There was only one travel trailer, a 2016 model, that we were interested in and asked for the price. Even though this was a "new" travel trailer, we were told this particular unit had been on their lot the longest of any unit they had. Salesman gave us a price, which was their regular price, and said the price would be cheaper Fri-Sun when their sale was going on (this was on Thursday, the day before the "sale"). I told him we saw their advertisement on a local TV station that said the sale ran from 2/15-2/26. We made an offer, with changes, and while we were waiting on their response, my husband wandered the aisles, looking at their merchandise. Several sales people passed him but never offered to help him. They made us a counter offer, without changing the price and refused to accommodate us with the changes we asked for. You would think they would be interested in selling it since the 2017 models were already on the lot. We left Camping World with a very uneasy feeling and "bad taste in our mouths." After we got home, we researched the reviews of particular travel trailer we were interested in and also Camping World reviews. We were astounded at the negative reviews of the unit we liked and the dealership. From the reviews, this is the norm for all Camping Worlds. And according to negative reviews, Heaven forbid if you have a problem and need the unit serviced at a later date! We are both so thankful that we walked away from this "deal!" Beware of Camping World!!

Camping World in Fort Myers, Florida - Unbelievable !!!!

3.0
Details
Today 2/16/ 17, Camping Ft. Myers FI. This store advertises that they are open until 6 pm. I arrived at 5:50 PM 10 minutes before closing. I was looking for a Door lock / latch. Ended up asking 3 different sales people where they were located. My wife and I went to these locations in store. no locks!!! Not even close finally i was talking to another customer and he said i just seen them located in rear of store. I looked and looked the style i wanted wasn't in stock. Thats fine no problem it can be ordered on line, which i have already done, I understand that can't stock everything !! Just so you know My wife and I have been in business 33 Years, We own a Diesel repair , RV repair , Marine repair, and heavy Equipment Shop. I totally understand Inventory Control. While I was searching for lock, wife was browsing and had picked up about $225.00 or so in products. She pick up a outside Mat that she wanted but only 1 was on the floor. So i walked around to ask if maybe they had a second Mat . Finally after waiting several minutes while he was checking out another customer I asked about maybe a second mat in back. Very Rudely told me that they probably did but that going back to look WAS NOT HIS JOB !! and that i would have to come back tomorrow. I returned back to te Mats and told wife what he had said. She said at was fine and that she found another style and 2 were there in the Box. We went Straight to check out. The same Cashier Had just checked the people that were in line while i asked about the other mat, and he was at the front door letting them out because i assume they locked it before fr the 6 closing. we were waiting at the register. As he was walking back he said that We would have to come back tomorrow because it was after 6 and the Register / Computer had been shut down !!! I told him we were 39 miles away from there one way and he just said "Well That the Way It Is" At that Point i said That I wanted to see store Manager. He actually told me that he had just went up stairs and he couldn't Bother Him. I told him i really did not care that wanted to see him !! This young man told me that Maybe i could talk to him tomorrow when we come back !!! Wife and i put the items on the opposite counter and walked out. And i wasn't very nice about it ,really doubt that to many people would have put up with this. My wife was very very upset and rushed me out the door. As we got into our car the clock showed the time of 6: 09 !!! We have been Snowbirds since 1996. And when were down here I'am in Camping World at least 1 time every week !!! That does not include the item's we buy online for our service Dept. I do not think we are that Big of a Customer. But large or small customers together are still "Customers" that must be treated fairly. But the sad part is that the "History" that had been built between me (the customer ) and Camping World Suddenly ended Today. Thank You . Mark Elmendorf /Midwest Truck & Trailer Inc. Located Evansville IN.

I agree with the last two comments. If you truly own a business, then you know about people coming in at the last minute and how it affects someone.

Maybe you don't have a family to get home to. Maybe your whole family works with you so it's no big deal to stay as long as people are in the business. However, the majority of us who work tend to have schedules for a reason. we also have families and lives to get to outside of work.

The business has hours for a reason. You say that when you got into your car, the clock read 6:09. That means you were in that business 9 minutes longer than you should have been. You were in the wrong expecting them to stay and cater to you at closing time.

They had been there all day to service your needs.

Where were you? Probably doing whatever you felt like doing, which is exactly what they planned on doing when they left work.

What sort of rude, ignorant person goes shopping with the expectation to leisurely browse at 10 minutes to close? GO EARLIER!!!!

I work in a service department at a car dealership 11 hrs a day....When it's time to close employees are tired and want to go home. We will stay and help if it's an emergency, but honestly you should have went there earlier...Not 10 minutes before closing and then want to browse around.

The big difference between your business and Camping World is that the you probably care about all aspects of your business and continuly try to make it better.

Camping World is an evil corporation where nobody in charge really cares about/ for the customer in anyway at all. At camping world, Customers are looked at as marks or suckers, just irritating bothersome objects that are to be conned and coersed to get the most amount of money from.

Find a good locally owned dealership that will be GLAD to help you and maybe even make you feel appreciated.

STAY AWAY FROM CAMPING WORLDS .

Service after the sale - camping world of katy, tx and THOR

2.8
Details
I wish I had looked at reviews before I purchased my new RV. Since day one, I have had numerous issues with camping world of Katy, Tx : 1. on RV survey- they did not show me the hot water valve behind a wall, how the TV system works( it took me hours to find the valve that was turned off) 2. They send the wrong amount and check to my DMV and I had to pay and get send check back to CW and get reimbursed ( a real pain) 3. LED light on front is out and I have been waiting since late january for replacement 4. Passenger window screen was missing and I have been waiting since late january for replacement 5. exterior storage lock does not work and I called manufacturer and he told me I would have in 3 days and it has been over 10 at this point. For the price of this RV, the material is very cheap but looks good. I have only owned this RV for 40 days, what problem am I going to have next!!!! One positive- when I call Thor warrantly, they really good and efficient in helping you .

CAMPING WORLD - WORST SERVICE EVER!

2.5
Details
I will back up the previous poster about *** SERVICE at Camping World (in Golden, Colorado). If you buy new, and the camper needs repairs, I WOULD NOT TAKE THE CAMPER OFF THE LOT OR PAY FOR IT UNTIL ALL REPAIRS ARE COMPLETE!!!! Dudley, the Service Manager, has been rude, has not called back, lied to me, told me broken things don't need fixing, and he didn't fix what Camping World committed to in writing, etc. even when their own people identified the problem....in writing, and committed to fixing it. I will NEVER EVER buy another camper from Camping World again! Donnie, the General Manager of the store, also hasn't called back when called multiple times. The sales folks bend over backwards to make the sale. They seem friendly and are knowledgeable. The service department though is about to become a source of lawsuits against the company (in my opinion). And Dudley's rude attitude toward me didn't help! Posted February 2017.

Same thing happened to us. The sale went great but service was horrible. Seeing all these reviews regarding Camping World's service departments all over the country, you have to think that their service people must all go to a special class to learn how to lie to and ignore their customers.

I have had my camper in for repairs since 2012 and here it is Feb. 2017, I just got my file today and I am taking it elsewhere.

I took it out during the summer months for camping and brought it back in fall to get repairs done.

This is the worse place ever to get anything serviced. They lied to me and told me my warranty place was called and never was done.

NO THIS IS NOT RESOLVED! March 13,2017, that has been on their lot since July 29,2016 for a step repair, went to pick up my RV as noted by the Service Manager and Service Rep, I have now paid for the second time for the set of awning arms, when this service location initially installed the arms and they did not work when we got home, then when I bring it back for warranty, the arm has now been bent and they claim that is not their issue and I would have to pay to install new arms but they would pay for the labor, then there was a charge for $220 to install and replace the battery box and battery core charge, then I finally get a walk through yesterday with my persistence to check out, and it is noted when you open the battery door all the components were as factory installed, duh?, nobody wanted to take the time to open the door even after many requests from me on what was the work done and who made the decision to do this work, duh, the managers did not go and physically check the unit for work done, the managers claims since the unit was repaired before he was an employee at this location he is not responsible for any and all charges to the unit, when I requested for the walk through papers that were done upon arrival, he told me they were now archived and cannot be recovered to check for the issues on the RV when delivered July 29, 2016,

Original review posted by user Feb 12, 2017

I have been doing business with Camping world for more than a decade, and the service is all good with smiles at the service counter, but once they have your RV you never know what you will be charged for, what will be fixed and not, just charged for, when will it be ready, I took the RV in May 2016 and the wait began, they are the largest repair service around the US and it takes forever to get parts ordered, I had work done and picked up in July 2015, and did not do a walk through before picking it up, very bad decision we were so distraut just got out of there, oh they garanteed all is good and ready to go, and then went out of state to find out the work was not functional, then I report it to the Camping World and tell them I cannot get back till July 2016, not a problem we will honor your problem and see you then, so I take it in July 2016 and in February 2017 I get a phone call and the RV is ready, no go through the walk through no, not working, work has been noted and recorded on the work-order, now they claim it is out of warranty, but it has been sitting on their lot for six months waiting repairs, what do you do, how much more do you do than complain on this site, this is a huge financial situation to pay for what you already paid for and the work was not completed, they have the RV

He said u dont get it any cheaper then the price we have it listed also he said we charge a extra $1000 on top of full price for a finace fee. Since ur not fincaning it with a bank we are losing money and we need that extra $1000. *** that sht. They should be shut down.
