Camping World - Terrible Customer Service in the Service Department

Took our RV in for Warranty work last August. Six months later the work still wasn't finished and what had been done was very shoddy and poor workmanship. I was repeatedly lied too by the Service Manager about parts being ordered or time frames to get work done. While being held on the lot in Woodstock, our coach was sideswiped and damaged. All CampingWorld cares about is making the sale. Don't expect ANY good follow-up service from their service department. I've had similar bad experiences at both the Woodstock and Oakwood locations. I've written to the area VP and the owner and gotten no response.

2016 Jayco Alante Rv Review

Details
Bought a NEW 2016 Jayco Alente from Camping World Bryon (Macon) GA. Took 3 attempts for them to get it ready for delivery. The whole process was a nightmare. To top it off, it had a defective engine, defective TV. I am a 69 year old 100% disabled Viet Nam Veteran. The Corporate Camping World was initially encouraging , however very disappointing overall.

On 2/20/17 CW charged my debit account the FULL amount and has yet to deliver or give an ETA. This is a bad practice. I should not be charged until my product has shipped. You folks are essentially using my money interest free, like banks try to do, while I am being deprived of any interest on my money . This is not the industry standard and should be looked at and changed to comply. CSR stated that it should be back in stock by 3/1/17 and then of course it will have to be shipped out . If I had ordered this from your competitor it would have been here today and at a cheaper price and far better consumer awareness . Still NO word on my Order at all ? . I am not a happy camper folks. Give me an ETA or I will CANCEL this (order # 1023335) !!!! . You folks are not even remotely competitive and Customer service s off the charts to the negative side, Awful and Unacceptable once again ! Think you should know about what your company is doing . I bought 2017 5th wheel at camping world went to pick it up they had scratch the front can't get them to fix it I show them before I even hook up to it they said no problem 5 months later it is not fixed warranty work is really a problem you can take it to a camper place that sell your kind and get it fix quicker I will never buy another one from them

Camping World in Dover, Florida - THE WORST .. BAR NONE..

I called Camping World and asked if they still had a 2013 toy hauler for sale. They said they did. So I drove 2 hours to see it .. I got there and they took me to see it. They brought out a golf cart with a battery and powered it up. Everything seemed to work fine . I had a question about the outside of the trailer and they brought out a guy they said used to work in the factory where the unit was built. I was assured it was normal. I told them I would take it. We went up to sign the paper work and after the 2 hours of driving there and the 2 hours inspecting it and 1 hour of waiting in the office she came back and told me it was sold !!!!!! So I drove 2 hours back.. When I got home I had a friend call and they said it was still available !!! It is still there 2 weeks later.. It's a scam. They under price a unit and then try to upcharge you when you get there. They are typical *** bags !!! Don't waste your time !!!!

Purchased a travel trailer from Camping World, Saukeville, WI last summer. Noticed a few things that needed to be fixed while it was under warranty including a TV backer was never put in when it was being built. Long story short, they have had our camper since 10/10/16 (over 4 months) and the work is still not finished. No one answers my questions and there is always an excuse. We've had to make an appointment with the general manager and stop in to speak with him to get some answers (an hour drive for us). We thought maybe we were getting somewhere as he offered to update us weekly on the status of our trailer. That was a lie.. we never heard from him even when I emailed requesting the status. We were totally ignored. My only option was to give them a deadline for either our trailer to be complete or a new one given to us or we will be contacting an attorney.

This must be company wide! Camping World in Woodstock, GA had our unit for 6 months before we finally just went and got it from them.

We have an appointment with another Thor authorized dealership to get the warranty work done that should have been done by CW months ago.

Plus, they lied to us about what was covered under the warranty....some things they said were not covered ARE covered. I will never go back to Camping World.

Bought a camper in July of 2016, when we went to pick it up we sat for about 1hour before anyone did the walk thru with us. The guy who finally did the walk thru was in a hurry and didn't know much about anything. He said sigh off on this and we can all go for the evening. We were told when we purchased the Good Sam Extended warranty we were told we would go to the head of the line if we had any service issues. Not true, we have several things wrong with the camper from the window treatment coming off the wall to a leak in the bedroom ceiling when I called twice to get service they tell me the waiting list is 100 people deep and if I want service I am more then welcome to drive it to the Richmond store, What wait really why would I drive an 1 to 2 away just to get service on my brand new camper. I will never recommend anyone to ever buy anything from camping world. Still haven't gotten any service done on the camper 8 months later.

Finally got the camper into have it serviced and 4 weeks later and several calls to Heartland some of the issues are fixed....back in August we told Butch the service manager about the issues and the fact the wheels sat funny he said the wheels are fine....however since then we have had a blow out on one tire and he tells us today that one tire blow out bent the axel.....WOW REALLY so when I called him a liar he said we needed to take our camper and get off his property....well I sure am not done with them ......your now the saying *** hath now fury like women scorned...yep because its gonna be far worse then that.....

Camping World - Thor Motor Coach Rv Review

Buying your rv from this dealership is a huge mistake. I purchased mine brand new from them 7 months ago. I did a walk through prior to purchase and made note of multiple issues wrong with the rv. These issues were noted on a we owe and were all signed off by the guy who does the contracts. 7 months these issues still have not been fixed. For the first 2 months I was told they were super backed up but once the parts arrived we'd be able to move forward. Suddenly it turned out they hadn't ordered the parts and the employee who had signed the we owe technically "wasn't supposed to have signed off" without the head guy there. So a few months go by with no progress because they are "talking with corporate". Meanwhile I'm calling them at least once a week typically more frequently and my calls are never returned and answers are not forthcoming. The tv fell partially off the wall because it wasn't properly attached so I took it to them to reattach. They reattached it with the buttons inaccessible because they had the tv laying on the shelf. A drawer hadn't been fully attached in assembly and I had missed it during the initial walk through but found it a few days later. After much hemming and hawing I was able to get it taken care of but "the fix" involved screwing the drawer such that it didn't open. Additionally one of the initial issues was that the shade was broken in the back. The biggest window that allows you to see outside. They attempted to fix it and ripped it partially out of the wall during the fix and then tried to use the slide and broke the valance. I was then told my rv was ready for me and the slide was still out and saw what had happened but when I went to ask for some sort of fix was told all the techs had already gone home. I was left sitting in the parking lot with a slide that wouldn't close a broken valance and no way to talk to anyone from camping world about it so I ended up having to remove the thing myself. I have a good number of other issues on the rv that should be covered under warranty but I'm terrified to bring the rv back to camping world because of what they will break next.
