Ridiculous Customer Service After the Sale at Camping World

1.0
Details
We purchased a Class A Jayco from Camping World Asheville/Arden in October 2015. Based on the 2-year warranty, we took it back to the dealer for a punchlist December 2015 with a deadline of late March 2016. When we picked it up, all outstanding punchlist items weren't fixed. So we returned it to the Asheville location within the month. On the second attempt to correct our issues, our next camping trip proved the issues were not resolved. So, we took the Motorhome to the Camping World Concord location, hoping for a better customer service. Unfortunately we have found that Customer Service, regardless of location, is EXTREMELY POOR!! We took our Motorhome to the Concord location on November 11th with our outstanding punch list. We gave a gracious deadline of March 17 the following year for our next big planned trip. Today is March 17th and we have learned that we can't take our extended family in our Motorhome to a family wedding on April because it won't be ready. Alternately, we must rent hotels for 4-6 family members. It is difficult to justify the logic for the $$ monthly payment when it is not a available during important family milestones. Approximately 3/4 year of our 2-year warranty has been in the shop.

Camping World in San Bernardino, California - RV Damage as a Result of Inadequate Sealing of Roof

We need to talk to someone about poor service and the resulting damage to our RV. We brought our RV to the San Bernardino, CA Camping World on July 25th 2016 to diagnose a leak and perform the necessary repairs. Work Order # 14-3829928. The cost was $119 for the diagnosis and $1593.67 for the repair and new caulking of seams on the roof. In December we had significant rainfall at our house in Wrightwood. After the first of the year we went to get the RV ready for camping. We found the entire interior saturated. The mattresses were dripping wet. All inside walls and vents had water on or in them. Camping World does not service the interior of the motorhomes so we took it to a RV repair place in Victorville (Affordable RV Work Order # 6915). They surveyed the damage and reported it was major and it was the results of the re-sealing not being performed correctly nor completely. To date the roof and several panels have had to be removed completely. New parts have been ordered – some of which have been received. We expect repairs to be completed by April. So far the cost is running at $14,000 with additional cost likely. We have had the entire process documented and photographed. And of course damage of this sort is not covered by insurance. We want to know what Camping World is going to do to make this right. Please advise. Our next step is to engage legal assistance.

Resolved: Camping World - Customer Care Review

Put $1000 deposit down to hold travel trailer. During walk through found 3 puddles of water on floor. Orientation manager said it was from service guys power washing trailer with slider out. Not happy with answer and their lack of concern that this was ruining the flooring, we elected not to buy trailer( no contract was in place or signed) The sales manager threw a list of things that had been done to "prep" the trailer for the walk through and refused to return our deposit. Beware of the rush through orientation ( did not test microwave because he claims he didn't know how, really?) first response to water puddle was "where did that come from?" Because it was in front of the oven, no where near slider, then changed story to power washing issue, said happens a lot. So why do it if you know there are problems. Filing complaint with corporate, better business bureau and more. This is just stealing

Camping World in Byron, Georgia - Terrible Customer Sales Experience

1.0
Details
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME with this dealership. I reached out to them about a new 5th wheel we were looking to purchase. The first salesperson was ill informed and seemed to not be really interested in helping me. I spoke to the sales manager "Chris" I believe is his name and he said he would have another sales person call me that was very experienced. NEVER RECEIVED A CALL. I can only COUNT MY BLESSINGS due to their lack of attention towards me as a potential new customer I took my business elsewhere, Northgate RV in Ringgold GA. We left there with a new 2017 Grand Design Reflection 5th. No haggle, NO HASSLE dealership.

Camping World Byron, GA sucks!!

I have a 2013 Ram 1500, towing capacity on it is 8600lbs Camping World Byron, Ga told me it was 9300lbs 1st lie, bought a Pioneer trailer and they installed torsion bars and sway bar said it will be safe to tow anywhere 2nd lie, I left there store drove it home which included a 10 mile stint up 75N and I was white knuckle on the interstate with the tractor trailers blowing me all over the road, soon as I got home, I emailed my salesman and said I will be returning first thing in the morning the trailer is unsafe to pull, they need to fix the problem or deal off, I took it back they took the Pioneer off my truck and took all the torsion bars and sway bars back. I said I would like to look at the small class A gas engine, they said tough luck you have already bought the Pioneer, so now I have been emailing and calling corporate with no response every time I call Byron to talk to the manager he is either in a meeting or at lunch, Customer service SUCKS!! They still have my trailer I refuse to pull it I guess the best thing for me is that I bring home the bacon my wife has never worked and doesn't need to but somehow the loan for the Pioneer is in her name I never signed any papers, so I'm just waiting on the bank to come repo the trailer which will be easy to find on Camping Worlds lot.. NEVER GO TO CAMPING WORLD!! they all about pushing through loans they don't give a *** about you the consumer and they sure don't give a *** about your safety.

Camping World - Protection Plan Review

1.0
Details
I bought a travel trailer from camping world in Calera Alabama and was lied to as to what the "service contract" cover so I called to cancel my service contract three weeks after I purchased the trailer. I call Michael Sullivan who is the finance guy that lied about the service contract and he was very unprofessional, rude and was cussing me because I told him he lied to me. Long story short they are supposedly sending the 2874.00 to my bank because I cancelled the service contract. So now instead of paying 211 a month which is what my payment would of been without the service plan I'm paying 284 a month because I added the service plan in on financing. I understand that my trailer will be paid off sooner but the fact of the matter that I was lied to and now having to go thru this. CAMPING WORLD IS A JOKE!

Stay away from Cincinnati, Ohio Camping World!! A lying non customer store

We have had issues from the very start and we are still dealing with lies, no return calls, email nothing from Fairfield, Ohio Camping World. My husband and I bought out motor coach in Sept. We bought it from the Indy store but we have been dealing with the Fairfield, Ohio store for things that needed done due to living in this area. It's been a total nightmare. Total. They don't care. They kept it 2 months the 1st time and they literally lied about work they said was done and they absolutely didn't touch it. We don't even want to deal with them but they won't return calls, emails. We have called numerous times & have been told the manager & the service advisor are there. They told us there are parts in that we need to get that are under warranty. We don't want them touching our Rv. If they will lie about work being done, than they are crooks. They should be ashamed of how they treat all of us. I'm not the only customer with this same complaint. I have met many out on the road. I myself have worked in the service business with auto & this is no way to treat your customers. Not at all, They are making a ton of money off us and we at least deserve the common respect of a phone call & the truth. I will never buy anything with Cincinnati , Ohio Camping World or another RV with them. If your considering dealing or buying with them, think twice. They only care about the sale…after that their done. Worst company I've ever dealt with in my life honestly.

Camping World - Very Inefficient Service

1.6
Details
Bought a small travel trailer at Camping World in Anthony, TX and it was supposed to be ready to go at 1 pm in the afternoon. It was not ready until 5 pm and we had to be very proactive to get them going on it. It was a used trailer and when the "walk-through" was being done (after a supposedly thorough check by a "tech" for which they charged $399), the black water vent was opened and all this really nasty black water poured out. So then we got a tech over there and he had not done anything prior to the walk-through! We went over everything with him and all seemed well. Ended up pulling it home in the dark, which we had wanted to avoid. Then, when we took the trailer on a real camping trip a month or so later, the hot water heater was not working properly. It seemed to be working during walk-through, but we had no way of knowing it would not heat up to the temperature it was supposed to. To summarize, this company does not provide good customer service and they charge a lot of high fees. There is a huge lack of communication among different sections of the business. Be very careful if you are buying something from them. Double check everything and make sure they don't rush you through the "walk-through". Make them heat up the hot water heater to be sure it actually gets hot. (if applicable) I would not buy there again and I can't recommend them.

Camping World - Rv Warranty Review

1.1
Details
Bought our Coachman Summerset 5th wheel in 2004. Bought the extended warranty....don't EVER buy the extended warranty through CW they are nothing but a bunch of idiots. Day one the large slide hasn't worked right and they couldn't fix it. ALMOST FORGOT TO PUT THIS IN....while my 5th wheel was at Camping World for over 3 months to get warranty work done that they couldn't complete..THEY STOLE MY 75' CABLE AND TOLD ME THAT THEY DIDN'T... I took the motor in when I was told they didn't cover anything any longer. I found that it was a bad winding from manufacturer..cost me to have motor rewound but it now works. Several of the seams in the ceiling were showing discoloration and they said it was a manufacturer's problem. Coachman said it wasn't covered in their warranty.... When I left the 5th wheel plugged in....the converter fried the new 6 volt batteries I had installed 5 months earlier....lol...the converter was a low budget unit that didn't automatically back its charge rate down when the batteries were at full charge. I replaced the converter and batteries with upgraded converter. There were so many problems that I fixed myself with the 5th wheel because CW said it wasn't covered but a manufacturing defect. Long story on my experience with Caming World and Coachman....I will never do business with either ever again. If I could afford to I would drive this 5th wheel into the Camping World in Santa Clarita ....through the front doors and park it in the Managers office. I love camping and they have ruined my idea of a trouble free experience.
