Camping World - Rv Repair Review

1.3
Details
I purchased a 2017 Forest River Cherokee on January 30th 2017 . has been in the shop continuously except for maybe one week and still no travel trailer to go camping in to take my family on spring break when you call they always put you off to another day said the part are not in. however, when I call Forest River the parts were sent this is very frustrating they don't care about their consumer all they care about is selling the product and getting the money to fatten their pockets.

Resolved: Camping World - I would not recommend or refer anyone to buy anything from this dealer-Akron OHIO. Worst "business" people our family has ever dealt with.

Update by user Mar 30, 2017

In Vince's defense, he was very friendly and respectful... he did not have the answers to all of our questions, but he did answer them to the best of his ability and if he didn't have the answer he went and found someone who did.

Him being the sales rep, did everything in his power to help us and agree to replace the issues, as far as the people above him, they did not.

But again, they have contacted us and have agreed to replace the things that were originally agreed upon. Not Vince's fault.

Update by user Mar 30, 2017

We spoke with Andrew and he has agreed to replace the repairs that were originally agreed upon.

Our family was looking for a used diesel RV. Well I guess our first mistake was choosing Camping World, Akron,Ohio to purchase from. VINCE was our sales rep. and how awful he was, not knowledgeable at all! Are any of them?! We found a used RV that fit our family and we thought would work for us. Mind you, it is used and we totally understood that. It isn't mint and we could except that. Although while making the deal (thank goodness my fiancé is good at his profession and knows a little about RV's, unlike people camping world is hiring) VINCE agreed to fix some things on our RV that were not working-the POWER awning, batteries, the radio, the generator...those are just a few. Well 2 weeks later we go to pick up our motorhome on the scheduled date that they claimed it would be ready for pickup. We are doing a walk through to test the things that were not working and VINCE agreed to fix, well, nothing works except the batteries were replaced. So again we are waiting hours before we can take it home for Camping World to fix our motorhome and we scheduled a day to take it back to get the ELECTRIC awning replaced. So, they quote us approximately 2 hrs for the awning (mind you we live an hr away) , my fiancé gets there to get it replaced and they quote him 4 hrs. So he just ended up getting a ride home. Then they call stating that the awning has been replaced, but with a manual awning. You figure you take an electric awning off you put the same on, correct?! Nope not camping world, how unprofessional. My fiancé has yet to go pick it back up and bring it home because Camping World agreed to replacing our awning . As we wait for a phone call back, WADE the service manager was very rude and disrespectful to my fiancé arguing with him saying our motorhome wasn't good enough for an electric awning, even though that's what they had agreed to replace. Even though we did pay 50,000 dollars for this motorhome, it isn't good enough to replace what they had agreed to. The generator still doesn't work and weve yet to even say anything about that. BAD business I do not recommend purchasing anything from here!

Camping World in Charleston, South Carolina - Refused To Honor Price Offered

After working with Sales Manager and Sales Rep. on a Sunday, the SM gave us the lowest price, including taxes and title, (written on their offer worksheet). They could not confirm a monthly payment as the banks were not open on Sunday, but with my current credit score he felt it would be between 167-177 monthly. I felt like since at my score it would be a pretty high rate I actually offered more down than 10% if they would guarantee 167. They said no because again they could not confirm the rate. So we left and waited for a call. They called and said they got the 167, so we came in the next day. The problem was they went up on the agreed upon price, because they still had to add taxes and title, when it clearly stated on the offer worksheet including taxes and title. The General Manager saw the error but could not honor the offer, because she would "Lose her Job". Needless to say my wife and I left.

Camping World - Service rendered was very bad and the service advisor knew it and didnt seam to care.Just as long as he had gotten a CPT or customer pay ticke it was money in his pocket.

The service advisor looked at my roof because the front roof was coming dislodged .So he told me he would have to look inside the roof to see how much damage there was but looking at the big picture if the whole roof needed to be repaired it would be around 4600.00 dollars that is if the whole roof need replacing. I told him that from my prospective that was not the case because section of the roof could be replaced and I only had 2500.00 dollars to work with . He said fine . Two day slater Bill called me back and told me he could do all the work with in the 2500 dollars because the on section would be less than half of sheet of plywood. I went to pick up my trailer and bill was not around to be found he left the closing up to the clerk. The funniest thing was she asked me if I was ready to pay for the service with out ever showing me the final product. I politely told her not until I see the work done. Disaster . The rotten wood was all on the floor, in the closets ,on my bed and the back wall was left with *** in it from bending the sheet metal back to install the new wood Then I went back to find Bill the service writer who, said he did a 3 point inspection I asked him what kind of inspection did he do and you said that all this cost me 2500. dollars this is what I get *** in my wall . He told that that area was a soft spot in the wall and yes that was the out come from repairing the roof. Really!!! So then I knew this was a bad deal coming to camping word. I got my RV and went to the camp. Fortunate for me it came a big rain and guess what the whole front end repair work leaked. I got a ladder and to my surprise the antenna cable protection sleeve was torn in to and the hole was left open to the air for any thing could come thru. The side molding panel on top still had the rotten wood stinking thru tht you could see right in side the roof . Never put any caulking to prevent any water from seeping inside the camper. The very thing that caused me problems he left it like before for future damage.

Camping World - Very unsatisfied

We bought a brand new camper from Camping World in Oxford, AL. We did not realize the paperwork was not correct when we left. After we discovered it, we thought we could correct it at the tag office. We could not. The tag office said Camping World would have to change it and they wrote out exactly what they needed changed on the paperwork. Camping World flatly refused. We were told they didn't care what the state said, Camping World would not make any changes. After they get your money, that's it. NO HELP AT ALL!! Do not buy a camper from Camping World!!!

We had same issue with the same Camping World. They even paid the taxes to the wrong state and gave the bank the wrong address and phone number on our loan papers. When I called and finally got someone to return my call they denied it all and said it was my problem.

Camping World in Cedar Falls, Iowa - Misrepresentation of Prices

Just had my second experience of going to Camping World to buy replacement/parts & finding the price advertised is NOT what they charged me. This time it was anode rod #42180. Price advertised was $11.27, which was comparable to others I found online. When I showed up to pick part up, the parts man hit me with the hard sell, saying that my Good Sam membership had expired & pushed for me to renew for 2 years, which includes a coupon book. I declined the offer & asked to just check out. I was then charged $24! When I asked about the difference (& showed him the price from the website), i was told "Oh, that's only for our Good Sam members". I should have learned a lesson from the past. Oh & while I'm ranting, the sales dept. wanted to give us $6k in trade for our 2012 Windjammer 3065w with

We bought a new Thor class c 3 1/2 weeks ago. When we were doing the walk through it was discovered.the backup camera did not work, neither did the radio. They said they would order it and give us a call. We have not heard from them and we have called several times and left messages and there is no call back. This is the one in Avondale AZ. I cannot say they have bad customer service, i can say they have NO customer service

Sold me a used camper which they stated they had gone through and inspected everything and made sure it all worked properly . Me being new to the camper world I trusted them and also was told they couldn't show me the tanks worked bc it was winterized . And the fuel station was empty . Once I got it home and went to Un winterize found the camper grey water tank and black water tank valves did not work and there was 3/4 of *** still in tank with no way to cut it off to hook drain pipe to so it leaked all over the drive way . Then put feul in feul station only to find out the pump is seized ! So they bold faces lied to me about completely going through the camper and now are not returning my calls .
