Camping World - We signed 2 contracts gave 8k and a month later they aid they cancelled our contract

1.0
Details
Tell me how it's possible to have to legally binding contracts through Camping World that has the name of a bank and your contract number on it, but when you call them to make your first month's payment the bank has never heard of you! This was the second camper that we have purchased through Oxford Alabama and the first purchase went smoothly but this one is going to have a lawsuit. We agreed on a price wrote up the contract, signed the contract and once we got home realized that they had raised the price within the contract. So we contacted Martin who is head of Finance and he said he would make it right. My husband went in one week later and signed a new contract with the correct price. Now both of these contracts still has on there the same bank that we Finance through with their phone number and address for us to make our first payment. In the meantime we noticed several things wrong during our walk through. One of the most major things was that the unit we purchased was supposed to have two AC units and it did not. The manager said he would make it right and order a new AC unit. They told us they would make our first months payment if we would just take a unit that they had on hand and I said no I want what we purchased and you're still going to make my first month's payment because it'll be going on one month that we do not have our unit still. They also had to order a countertop and fix some other minor issues. My husband got very upset with them and told them that they needed to have all of the issues fixed and that the unit needed to be delivered to our house by a certain date or that we were going to take legal action. We heard nothing back from camping World. My husband called them yesterday and talk to Greg in Oxford and he basically said that your wife doesn't listen I told her that if you didn't come and pick up the unit then the order was going to be cancelled. Then he changes his story and says that the bank cancelled our loan for failure to pick up the product. Failure to pick up the product when they have literally spent the past 30 days fixing it . We called the bank and they had never heard of us. The whole time has been nothing but lies. The bank told us that even if an application had come through to them and been denied they can still see it in their system so that tells me that Camping World never even sent in our application. Greg hung up on my husband today and told him that he gave him a chance to own a new RV but my husband didn't take that chance. Is the world delusional is everybody at all Camping Worlds shady used car salesman? Is anybody safe? We had a 724 credit score it's not like they couldn't get us a loan.

Be glad. The crusaders are One of the worst P.O.S RV' s made.

You will have or would have had endless MAJOR problems with it.

Everything prime time builds is pure garbage.

What about your 8k $?

Camping World - Still waiting for repair to start.

Camping World is the worst place to go to get repair done on your RV. Mine as been in the shop for 6 weeks now. I was told they are waiting on Heartland. I called Heartland they said no request for repair was ever sent in. Even though I was told it was put in 4 weeks ago by the Service Adviser. The next day I get an E-Mail from Heartland saying they just received the request from Camping World. Heartland said Camping World never need to get approval from them for Warranty repair. DO NOT GO TO CAMPING WORLD FOR RV REPAIR. Still waiting for the work to start. Waiting on a call back also.

Camping World - New camper, new problems
Purchased 2017 Volante less than a month ago and already it leaks around two windows. New material smell immediately has turned to funky, sour, wet odor. I'm anxious to see if it'll get fixed or simply patched to carry it through the warranty period. I'd spent nine hours waiting for what I was told would be a three hour service with no communication about the delay until I began to ask. Then I found that my lock from my spare tire was lost and had I not noticed, no one was going to tell me. It took two weeks to resolve this even partially. Sales person although friendly lacked knowledge to answer simple questions when looking at campers. To make it worse, he never bothered to find answers to my questions. I would never buy from Camping World after this nightmare in purchasing experience.

Camping World - Glass protection fraud.

1.4
Details
Ai paid $1900.00 for glass protection. Had a crack and took RV into camping in Albuquerque. They called me a week later told me I had to call glass protection company, when I called they denied my claim because ai did not call them within 24 hours. A this is really consumer fraud. Camping World makes a commission on the sale, they should take care of there customers. A really, 24 hours to report the crack probably means no one is covered. I think a refund is in order for all consumers who bought the policy. Has anyone else had this problem? I contacted camping world they would not return my call.aa a this happened in a Jan. 17.

Jerimiah with blue eyes! I'm not sure his last name but he made us feel really upset and uncomfortable! It was our first time there and we had such a bad experience. He immediately got personal and wanted to know our credit score to confirm his commission. He was pushy and did not want to show us around if we did not submit our credit report! Little did he know we were paying cash! If anyone gets him I reccomend u ask for another sales rep!

Details
Me and my finance bought a travel trailer 2 weeks ago today was told buy our sales person Brandon the tipout needed work and will take about a week to fix. I asked him when will it be done and delivered he told me it would be done this week and we would have it delivered today at our campground. I went out last Saturday cleaned out our trailer we are trading in and had our owner of the campground tow it out this week. I waited all week for my sales person to call he never did as to when it will be fixed. So I called and talked to the garage tech he told me it won't be ready for another week or so. This pissed me off because now I have to pay my owner for the camper sitting in an open site if it will not be picked up by camper world by next weekend. I want to know why it takes 2 weeks for a part to ship and be installed we bought it from camper world in Indianapolis In in greenwood. My name is Joe Johnson My finance name is Dawn Laforest the trailer is in her name can someone please contact me soon My telephone number is 7658941927

Camping World in Dover, Florida - Extended Service Contract

Camping World - Extended Service Contract

Update by user May 29, 2017

May 29,2017 still waiting to here back. sent letter on 5/8/2017 with info to the extended warranty area ( Good Sam ESP) they said 4-6 weeks till I here back.

Update by user Apr 30, 2017

I have been trying to work with Camping World since January on this issue I have emails and voice mails telling me that the problem is the other locations fault. Dover FL service manager as well as a sales manager has even told me that the unit had a bad slide when we purchased it.

Original review posted by user Apr 29, 2017

we purchased a 2015 Jayco pinnacle fifth wheel from Camping World Madison WI in March 2016. We took out the extended warranty because it was a used unit. We took it out on three short trips around Wisconsin and had no problems with it. We set up a trip to stay the winter in Tampa Florida and on the way we ran into problems with the 17ft slide (on kitchen side) we contacted Camping World Madison WI and they contacted the Camping World Dover FL and asked them to help us. The slide no longer would go in and out. Dover sent a tech out to help get the slide out (it had to be forced out Schwintech (even the override would not let the slide free roll) slide would no longer work) Dover came and picked up our unit at the RV park finely on Dec 10th 2016 after three days of trying to get the slide to retract they got it in. Dover FL knew that we would be returning from WI on the 4th of Jan and that we would be in to pick it up. On the 3ed of January received an email midafternoon that the unit was not ready and that we should get a hotel room. During this whole time they told us that they had the parts and it would be ready when we returned. When we arrived to look at our unit we found that the whole 17 ft slide had been removed and the whole in side was in pieces. Dover told us that they found more problems with the unit and needed to call in the mfg. of the frame to look at it because they found that the outriggers were bent and that the frame was also bent. They call in someone to look at the frame and they did say that yes it was bent but it was within the normal specs for the unit. We contacted Wisconsin and they wanted us to return to Wisconsin and they wanted to look at it. We spent 12 days in a Hotel trying to get this issue solved. Florida saying that Wisconsin sold us a damaged unit and that they should pick up the cost for the repairs Wisconsin saying it is not their problem and the extended warranty saying that it is not covered under the warranty, but if you go to the website it shows that slides are covered on an extended warranty. I called my banker and had $7000.00 transferred from my 401K to pay for the repair because we were held hostage between both Camping Worlds if we would not have done this I think that we would still be living in a hotel) and signed to have the repairs done so we could get our unit back. If you look at the charges they took 10 hrs to fabricate the outriggers and weld them which is an over charge it took them three days to get in the slide to take it back to the shop again should not have taken that long, and then sixteen ours for repair and 12 hrs to remove the slide looks like all the hours were padded. Washing the unit which was not asked for $228.00. ellen.smith@goodsam.com james.callaghan@campingworld.com mgerdich@campingworld.com meaghan.pelischek@campingworld.com thamil@campingworld.com travis.haack@campingworld.com jerry.curry@campingworld.com Since January we have been in limbo Florida said that Wisconsin should reimburse us and Wisconsin saying no. As you can see below in the email still have not get this resolved. Can you help.

Horrible wxperiance at Camping World.

Worst buying experience I have ever had. My salesman tried to act like he knew what he was doing but he had not a clue. They get you in the door with advertised low prices but once you try to make a deal they throw out huge fees such as transportation vehicle inspection etc. In my case they added almost 10k worth of charges to the advertised price. I have had the trailer for a very short period of time and I am mad at myself for giving them my business. Do yourself a favor and go to a family run dealership. I love the RV but will never recommend or buy from camping world again. Jack

My experience was similar.i even asked about the ridiculous delivery fee. I didn't ask for the camper to be brought to their lot. And like you, I will never buy from Camping World again and I agree: find a family run business that actually cares about its customers

I hope they do also but if not join the rest of us and get a lawyer cause Keystone, Thor, Dutchman, et al Camping World all are bad news and do not honor contracts warrantees etc... they may string u along and in the end your warranty will expire and youll have a pile of junk... Good Luck, waiting and still paying after 4 years, on a leaking Dutchman reported prior to expiration....currently being litigated.

Camping World - Service sucks!

Purchased new RV in October 2016. Scheduled an appointment in Feb. for defective oven under warranty and dropped off at dealer Feb. 7. Picked it back up March 6 to use during Spring Break even though the problem was not fixed. They stated the replacement parts (thermocouple) would be in on March 15 so I would return the RV to the dealer after spring break to repair. Made another appointment to return to have the work done and dropped it off at camping world on April 8. At that time I was told the part is in and I would have the RV back in a couple of days. I called them on March 26 because I have not heard from them and they said they received the wrong part and had to re-order it. I have only owned this for 6 months and they have had it in the service department for more then a month and still counting. Appointments do not mean anything to these people.
