Camping World in Columbia, South Carolina - Leak never fixed

1.0
Details
I do not recommend Camping World. We purchased our camper from Camping World in Columbia about a year ago. We have had nothing but issues with our camper. When we 1st got our camper it had a leak. The assumed the leak was caused by the slide not going in and out. So they fixed the slide but did not check the roof which now has water damaged. Never once fixing the inside that was damaged caused by the water. Now we have another leak caused by a strip of tin on the roof that was not properly sealed etc.. So the roof and inside of my camper is damaged. Instead of them owning up, They made me file a claim with my insurance company. I have made reservations in MB over 8 months ago. And now I don't know how I'm going to be able to go with no camper. My parents and kids are very upset. We do this every year rearranging our schedules so we can have a family vacation together. I'm very upset with Camping World

Camping World in Hillsboro, Oregon - No one should be treated this way!

2.7
Details
I cant even begin to explain how disgusted I am with my entire RV purchase experience. I am tempted to drop it off and tell Hillsboro, OR Camping World where they can shove it. The Parts and Service department is a wreck, they never answer the phone, they leave voicemails that explain nothing and then its like pulling teeth to get in touch with someone! When our camper was "inspected" the awning was found to be damaged. They told us 7-10 days it would be in and replaced. A month and MANY phone calls later we find out it had come in wrong part, and been reordered. A week after the expected arrival date of THAT one we started the tedious process of reaching a human again to get updates. Two days later when we finally did, the person had a difficult time getting information- like it was something only one person knew and couldn't just be looked up on a pc order form or something. We finally were told it was on back order and it could be "a long time". So, two MONTHS after purchasing the trailer, we brought it home without an awning,...and with a broken outdoor speaker cover, a missing miniblind wand, a missing propane cover, and a torn mattress (a foot long tear in the foot of the mattress)!!!!! Imagine how thrilled we were to find these things!!! So we emailed the ONLY decent person we had been dealing with, Vicki in Sales. She forwarded the list to Parts and Service. On June 6th we received another call about the awning, with no information other than to call back. Which we did. Many, many times. I left voicemails and email address. When I called again today I found out Jose is in Mexico on vacation now and he was the one who knew what was what with our trailer apparently.. It wasn't easy, but we finally found out why he called, The new awning came in! Damaged. So another was ordered, It's unknown if it was ordered express shipping or what the expected delivery date is, and Matt was "in the middle of dealing with another customer", so, you know, he couldn't sit there listening to us complain about something he "couldn't do anything about". When asked if he could at least order the other parts? "We'll see what I can do..." was the response. Not one person has offered us anything other than these words, "well it happens a lot". This is disgusting. No one could get away with running a smaller business like this, but since you are a giant cooperation apparently its okay. The awning wasn't even ordered until a month after it was supposed to be. Then the company who ships the parts keeps making mistakes and everyone just shrugs their shoulders and doesn't know what to do? Complete and utter garbage. I want to be compensated for the 2 and half months now that I hadn't been able to use my camper, for all the wasted time trying to get in touch with a human, then trying to find a human who knew what was going on, then for them treating US like WE were the ones doing something wrong, for all my wife's frustrated tears, the disappointment of my children when we had to cancel two camping trips because of all of this... and not one person has stepped up to offer a god *** thing to attempt to make this right. When it is time to upgrade my trailer I will finally listen to all the other reviews and I will NOT go through the company, as the closest dealer here has left me feeling swindled.

Camping World - Dont shop there

We purchase a 2017 Holiday Rambler vacationer ! What a nightmare from service to the sale of the biggest most expensive lemon in the lot. We have own it 09/24/2016 and have only used it twice. If it wasn't in the shop it was snowing. Holiday Rambler is no help. What a piece of cramp Marcus should remove his name from this Company. As we speak its sitting in Kentucky and were in Ohio waiting to get it fixed. We have taken this RV back more times then we have driven it. Stay away do your homework before such and expensive purchase. Yikes This is ridiculous

Well we hired a lawyer and purchase a winnebago from camping world in NC and were told they are sold as is and there's no warranty only from manufacture. So ours has been 9 times for warranty work out of service more then in, had the same issue fixed multiple times. Recommendation NEVER BUY FROM CAMPIMG WORLD.

You will NOT get your money back, that's for sure.

They will be charging you for the repairs.

They will NOT repair it correctly.

You can fuss and raise heck with them all you want and it will NOT help the situation.

I feel sorry for you and anybody who deals with these thieves.

They have no conscience , they ARE an evil corporation.

Camping World in Saint Augustine, Florida - Bad service, poor qualtiy of work, takes months

2.1
Details
I blew a tire and t destroyed my fresh water system. After 2 months and my insurance company paying them over 5000 they said it was ready. When I got there I saw that they did not put in a new fresh water tank, nor did they put in new water lines. Service tech said, "well you didn't pay for it". I said my insurance company did! ( I paid 500 deductible) So I called the insurance adjuster to come out and go line by line---we found not only did they not put in a new tank or lines, they also got paid and did not do painting and put in a new hanger for tail pipe. So I had to bring it back and they kept it for another two months. I picked it up and "new" tank was scratched up with dirt all over it. Lines still were the same. I took it...got home..no water comes into RV. THEY DID NOT CHECK THEIR WORK!!! so it goes back, new service manager was embarrassed by the "new " tank. So he cleaned it and fixed the problem. In the 5 years I have owned my RV camping world had it for 1 1/4 years. It took them three visits to fix the same slide problem. I called regional manager, he had the store manager call me....he said since we have had so many problems that I should not come back!! I said now I am the victim again!! Believe me I don't want to.... Marcus is great at helping other businesses, but his business has the worst record and reputation for service. I have never found anyone pleased with their service department. Such a shame because they are usually in convenient locations. I have written a letter directly to the CEO, I never received a reply for the slide issue. Pictures are on my phone..wil be appy to show the "new" tank...

Get smart and quit using them.

Do you think they are all of the sudden know what they are doing because you wrote a letter to the ceo?

Marcus does NOT care One little %#&k about you or your problems.

Why in the h*#l would you keep going back.

If you go to a restaurant and get food poisoning, do you go back ask for more?????

What a dumb a $$.

Camping World in Longmont, Colorado - 2017 Jayco eagle ht

1.3
Details
Purchased new 2017 Eagle HT 26.5 by Jayco on August 31st in Golden Co. Two weeks later on Sept 16th we took it to LongmontCo Campingworld for obviously warranty work. The Service writer Cameron Peck was nice, it is unimaginable that a two week old trailer require Jayco approval to do the work. The issue was water leaking from fresh water tank. End of October we had scheduled camping we had to take,or trailer and the repair they claimed was completed was not effective. We drove 3.5 miles from Buena Vista Co to campsite with full water tank. 2/3 empty in 3 miles Unacceptable. After needing the trailer in Oct and November we took the trailer back March 29th 2017 to Longmont location again. Again weren't approval required *** step. Why can't Camping Wrld simply enter Vin number to determine warranty work is approved from Jayco. May 30th we finally got the trailer back. Finally repaired but Service writer Cameron Peck said "this is a known Problem" with This model. They rerouted water lines to repair. This system s way to slow, and unless we don't gaged Service and Service writer c Nstantly for follow up and tomtest dresses ve trailer we had no confidence the work was done. We in this, process missed 3 camping trip opportunities. Will NEVER take our trailer to Camping World again. Simple suggesting online system for warranty work 2. Hire more service people and work on Saturday and Sunday. Service is separate from sales I understand the laws in Co abut sales closed on Sunday but ludicrous that service isn't open. You are great at Sales and SUCK at Service!

Camping World - Had a hide-a-brake installed in Feb. 2017 at Port Richey store

4.3
Details
Store had my 2013 Honda CRV for a day and a half, I then broke up camp and took the coach (2013 Bounder) down for a half a day. I didn't start home to Pa. until April. The first day when I got to a campground the battery on the car was dead. For the next three days, every time we stopped, I started the car to keep the battery up. When we arrived home, didn't get to solving the problem until May. Called Camping World at Harrisburg, told them the problem, they said to contact the Store in Port Richey to let them know, then to call back and co-orindinate the repair. We live in East Freedom, Pa. and the two nearest Camping Worlds are the Harrisburg and Winchester, Va. locations. Called Harrisburg store again, left a message to call me. They didn't return my call. Called the next day, they didn't return my call. Called the next day, they didn't return my call. Called the next day and asked to speak to a Manager, talked to Steve and told him my fustration, he set me up with a date to have my unit looked at. On June 1 drove to Harrisburg with my coach and car in tow. After inspecting my coach, was told that the Fl. Store had not used a charging line from the coach to the car and this was the problem. Was told it would take about three hours to complete the work. The co-operation and service I received at the Harrisburg Store needs recognized, especially Steve Hitz and Romeo Requena and the workers who did the work. The battery on the car was OK when I arrived home after the repair. Thank you all. I hope this will help you with some corrective action at your Florida store.
