Camping World - Parts order

1.3
Details
2 items ordered 1 received today. 20 minutes on hold to see what happened, only to be informed the parts are coming from 2 places. $20 for parts $10 for shipping. way too much. over 1 week to receive the parts. I wouldn't order from these folks again. if they told me the parts were coming in 2 different orders I would have shopped elsewhere. after waiting for the 20 minutes the representative was somewhat helpful, but was rather short in temper. I told her I wanted a tel # to speak to someone in corporate, her answer what was the problem?. I once again discussed it with her and her comment was if I had order via telephone they would have told me it would come from 2 different location.

Camping World - Refusal to make covered repairs

We purchased a new Jayco Eagle HT fifth wheel on December 31, 2016 at Camping World in Columbia, S.C. That was a big mistake. They made a deal with us that included our trade-in and delivery of unit 3 days later but on the way home they called to try and change the deal. My husband told them he was turning around and coming back to pick up our trade-in and they decided to honor the original deal. This should have been a red flag for us. The day we arrived for pick-up of the unit, it was not ready and we had to return home with no RV (6 hour round trip). Unfortunately this was only the beginning. At the time of purchase there was a piece of broken molding in the bedroom and an issue with the pantry door. We were told by the original dealer that they had ordered two replacement parts to cover on the day we bought the camper. They were to contact us for repair when the parts came in. That never happened. We contacted them numerous times and each person told us the parts were not ordered but they would order. We heard that 3 separate times. Finally we were told in May that the parts had arrived and were scheduled an appointment for installation. After traveling 3 hours to Columbia for repairs, we were told that they did not have the parts after all. On our first camping trip we were unable to turn off the exterior lights. We called a dealer to see if they could help us troubleshoot but we were unable to fix. We took the camper to an authorized Jayco service provider near our home and they were able to fix the issue, however, when they contacted Jayco for payment they were told that the original dealer (Camping World of Columbia) had already been reimbursed for electrical repairs. If they were reimbursed, we were unaware as this was not disclosed to us at the time of sale. We finally contacted Jayco to get approval for all issues to be handled by another dealer. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER!

Camping World in Greenwood, Indiana - Service Depts needs make over

Wife has wanted new fifth wheel for years, decided to buy, We have had Jayco and trust jayco. Decided to buy 5th wheel from camping world in greenwood. Was told to bring our trade in on a Friday and the would install 5th wheel hitch and complete everything to take camper home that evening.. First I was pushed back to the next Monday, didn't have time to install hitch and couldn't do it on Sat. (Weekend Camping Lost). Went to finance. Shoved a bunch of papers at us to sign.. Tell them you want to see the Last Page First which is everything they include and charge you for, Things like a Wheel & Tire Warranty, Service contract, and a Paint and Body protectant we NEVER as for over $1000.00.. The total for all the things we didn't need, well over $5000.00.. Please look at their final figures FIRST.. Took the camper home the next day the slide would not come out. Called and had to bring it back, lost another weekend of camping, They are VERY bad at not calling or emailing you back unless you get upset. The thing that blew my mind and upset me was Camping world called to set up an appointment for me. Two weeks from the time they called. When I brought it in they told me it could take another 7 to 10 days to get it worked on. I told them I had and appointment that was made two weeks ago, They advised that was just to get it on the lot. All in all I had to pretty much threaten them in which they finally fixed the things we had problems with, No person buying a NEW CAMPER paying that much money should have to wait 30 days before they can use it. As I paid my first payment, my wife and I used it one weekend and lost over $250.00 in fuel, time, and camping reservations. Had our previous camper worked on at Gilans, He advised it would take 45 days to get it in, When I delivered it for service, it was done like he promised in 3 days... I hate to say this but camping world only cares about getting them out the door.... Finance: How can someone tell you what your payment will be before they run your credit as well as other figures.. Something just isn't right!! Service: They need prioritize, New Sales, Emergencies and routine maintenance and service; A complete restructure of their service department if you ask me...

Camping World in Saint Augustine, Florida - Misinformed!

3.1
Details
Bought our Montana High Country in St. Augustine camping world. They sell us a gooseneck adapter that voids the frame warranty without telling us. When we find out they straight up lie to us about talking to Keystone about the issue. I called Keystone myself and found out it does in fact void the warranty. After days of arguing, they decide to credit our funds towards the correct fifth wheel for my truck. They tell us to go ahead to Asheville where they are ready for us and it will be taken care of. Asheville had no idea we were coming, or what for. Both the wife and I had to waste a vacation day from our jobs to get the issue resolved. Frustrated we have reached out to camping world to see what they will do to make this right, and low and behold they will not return any of our phone calls. They are absolutely worthless. I will never buy anything from them again, not even a roll of rv toilet paper. Total pieces of *** in my book. Good luck to anyone looking at doing business with these low life's. Highly not recommended.

Camping World in Newhall, California - Customer Service

2.6
Details
The worst customer service I have ever seen. I have called the Santa Clarita camping world 4 times today. Transferred to the parts department all 4 times where the phone rang at least 50 times with no answer. The phone never transfers back the operator so you have to hang up and call back. Have since left 2 more messages with no return calls. Last week while in the store a parts person took my name and number and told me he would call back but never did. After waiting 3 days I had to back to the store and then waited 40 min. to get helped by the parts department. They just don't care or have never been trained on how to provide customer service.

Have never had this bad of serv8ce as i did in the Richmond Indiana store. We spent $6000 on several things one of them being air conditioning system spring cleaned. When we used it it was so loud and didn't work right. We called 5 days in a row and never got to talk to service management and he never called us back. Well never take our rv back to camping world again . Richmond service center sucks. They also left our rv a total mess when we picked it up. Woast service ever. Manager ought to be fired

Camping World Richmond, IN - Dishonest, lies- BEWARE

1.0
Details
We flew from California to Camping World of Richmond, Indiana to purchase a used 2006 Country Coach Intrigue. They sent us Work Orders of all the work that they had already done to the coach. After 40+ phone calls, emails and text we felt comfortable to spend the money to travel there to purchase the coach. When we got there none of the items on the Work Orders had be done even though the Work Order said the status of each item was "complete". Including a fuel and coolant leak. Took a 20 mile test drive and used approx. 2 gallons of coolant. We knew that there had been a leak on the slide seal and asked if they could see any mold or mildew in the RV. Salesman Bruce said he had been in it lots of times and had never seen any. One of the first things we noticed were the mushrooms growing under the dinette. Later found them in the bedroom slide. Wasted time and money traveling there because they are dishonest and liars. The Coach is still up for sale, who will be the next victim? What happen Marcus Lemonis to the 3 P's? Looks like this time it was the mighty dollar that over ruled the 3 P's.
