The business manager explained that the goodsam service contract would cost $2500.00 for seven years. But if we would take paint protection it would cost $1500.00.

He did not tell us paint protection would cost $1925.00. He inferred paint protection was included in the service contract. We initialed the purchase for the $1500.00 only. Somehow the $1925.00 was added in the cost. We would not have initialed the papers if we knew that to save $1,000.00 it would cost $ 1925.00, it doesn't make sense..

When I called the dealership I was told it could not be canceled . We did not receive any paperwork explaining the paint protection program. All we know is that it is only good for 5 years which makes it a complete ripoff.

I asked to speak to the general manager but was told he was in a meeting. The business manager and a secretary who answers the phone both said that they would give him a message to call me. He never did call.

We bought a 2017 keystone cougar travel trailer from Camping World in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The business manager added a service contract which he said included paint protection. When we got our contract it had a $1925.00 charge for paint protection. When I called the business manager he said it was not cancellable. I would never have signed a contract with a non-cancellable item had I been told about it. PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CEDAR FALLS, IOWA CAMPING WORLD RV SALES. I called the general manager to discuss the problem, but was never called back by him. They have my money so now they just ignore me....

Do not shop at this place!! Found a brand new 2016 Jayco 325BQHS Fifthwheel that the camping world in Gulf Breeze had marked down, I contacted the dealer had everything set to purchase (loan, insurance, deposit) and a appointment for a Saturday pickup. Got to the dealership and made contact with the salesperson (Tiffany) that I had been dealing with and she led us to the RV it was sitting all closed up, she unlocked the door and when she went to pull the steps down they were stuck, I even tried and couldn't budge them so she went to get a service guy! Started walking around outside Rv and found all kinds of problems. After finally being able to get inside found white sticky marks on the floor, saw dust on the bunkhouse beds and frame rales, plus more dust and dirt in the upstairs bedroom, bathroom, the carpet very looked dirty. I asked the sales girl if this unit had been cleaned and she stated yes ? I then asked if this was a demo or new and she said all of their units were demo's ! I Started looking more and found rust in the stainless steel sink, then after looking in one of the cabinets found a large bubble in the floor and you could see daylight from the outside where the wall met! She Tiffany left to go get help! I then went up on the roof and it was completely dirty and had been very poorly recaulked! The Floor manager Anthony showed up and asked what the problem was and then he had the nerve to ask me if we were closing on this unit cause he had another one in an hour! I asked him to climb up on the roof and look which he did and said everything was normal and factory done, told him that was a lie! After that he left and then the general manager came out and asked about us buying the unit, after showing him the problems plus the mold behind the caulking on the rear of the trailer, I told him thanks but no thanks! His attitude was the same as his floor manager! I do not recommend this dealership to anyone !

Camping World Service Department

Had them install satellite with predetermined cost. Asked service rep to have tech. Use leftover caulk for any spots on roof that might need filling. (I was already charged $14 for caulk used to install satellite. A tube of caulk cost half that anywhere else.) They charged me $220 to caulk 3 small areas on roof! On top of that, the tech. wired the 12 volt sat. wire to the kitchen lights which required me to have the lights on in order to have power to the sat. switch. Ripped off and poor quality work. As a matter of fact, service rep told me a month earlier that roof inspections were always included when an rv is winterized, which I had them do. So why was it necessary to fill any cracks when the sat was installed? The service reps never smile, act like you are a bother rather than a valued customer and appear to dislike their job...great place to do business. Lol

Motorhome Repair

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We had our 37' Mountain Air coach repaired at the Greensboro, NC facility. The cost of the repairs ended up being $15,800.00. The repairs were not really completed as the work order indicated and out unit now is totally ruined due to a faulty roof installation. This facility does shoddy repairs and rates a "0" in my book. We asked GEICO, our insurer, to assist us with the litigation and they did little to assist us. We feel we have been ripped off by both our insurer and Camping World. What poor work. I would not recommend having any work done at this facility. In my book, they are crooks and have no credibility as a "Customer Service Oriented Company". We will never spend another penny at any of their locations. We will buy online.

Dakota discount rv rapid city talk to tom, he is a amazing salesman and knows his stuff, dakota discount is also a great business and has amazing people that work there honest, trustworthy and fair. Can't go wrong. I went to camper world first and they treated me like I was a low life, then I went to camper world and they treated me like a person and gave me a great price on my trade in and found me a 5th wheel hat is amazing.

Beware of Camping World in East Ridge Tennessee

Just bought a 2016 Crossroads Camper at East Ridge, the price was padded with dealer prep charges and freight. After receiving shipment I noticed that the unit was not cleaned, there was no spare tire, there was no prep and the walkthrough orientation was incomplete. I'm not saying don't buy from these people, I never will again, just beware of all the items that normally come with these type purchases. I have never in my 69 years ever bought any kind on vehicle without a spare tire. Any item I need for the camper will never be purchased from Camping World, and I will never do business with them. Bunch of cheats!

Camping World Website very frustrating

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Your website is very hard to navigate it only gives options for the customer to provide information about the person trying to search your site. In other words provide leads when all a person wants to do is browse RV trailers. I give up trying to look at RV's on your site! Now you need 100 words to submit this complaint! Why would a person purchase from a company than is more interested in gathering information about it's potential customer than provide information to that customer? Now just entering words to try and get this submitted. What a waste of time your chat freezes up and your site makes people mad!

Camping World Hillsboro Oregon worst customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I bought a 2016 fifth wheel. I felt I got a good price and was happy with my purchase. I spent a total of $56k on the unit and a hitch and stuff from the store. During delivery the self level faulted and Scott said because the ground wasn't level. It did the same thing when I got home and the ground is level. After delivery I drove across the street and took a pic. I then took one trip and later found the microwave dish was missing, *** in the rubber roof and damage and a decal that had damaged. I looked at the pic I took after delivery and the damage was there. Several calls,messages,e-mails and the passage of one week led to no results. Worst customer service I ever experienced, no one returned my calls. I then sent a very direct email to the GM Patrick and he apologized and that was it, still no solution to my problems. I had to patch the roof myself because it started raining. That place should be shut down and their business license revoked.

Rude finance mgr. never return.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Were ready to purchase fifth wheel but wanted details of their offer. Could not sit down right then as we had walked around for an hour. I am still on crutches from broken leg and tired out. But we had decided on unit. This person (finance mgr) followed us practically to the door and told us that if we didn't want to do it his way to leave, then turned his back and stalked off. Incidentally, we have purchased 2 campers from this very CW. We have never been so insulted and so rudely treated by any business...ever! Never will we return. We will ourchase a new camper... but not from them.

This is the most crooked experience I have ever been subjected to. I had a deal made on a unit, while fully disclosing the nature of my trade in. Not only did the camping world people inflame the derogatory judgement/comments of my unit, they actially damaged it in thier ignorant attemps at operating it. Unbelievable!!! This is supposed to be the professional guys??? I will never do any business with them again and be sharing my experience with my fellow rv acquaintances. Used car lots are more professional.

Still waiting - 899920 madison, wis.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
this is a continuation of the first. after 4 months of waiting we finally took our FR3 to madison. from 8am to 530 pm they managed to do 7 out of 15 total repairs. the counter top needed to be replaced so they managed to crack it while they were installing the new one - so quess what they did?? - they finished the job caulk and all. now even though it has been 4 months we are back to waiting again. of course they say they are going to put a rush on it, HaHa, maybe this time it will only take 6month. i figure this time frame, since we pi---d them off by complaining about the work not getting done 9 and 1/2 hours. CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS

Complete incompetence

First we have had to wait weeks for a warranty appointment and once appointment date arrives weeks for parts to come in and now waiting for them to have "room" to do warranty repair. This is insane. WE purchased the RV to be able to spend time with our kids and family, not have it waiting for warranty repairs for over a month!!! Some of the repairs are being done for the second time because they did not repair correctly the first time. Seriously, how hard is it to secure a piece of molding. Why does it take a month to replace an awning motor?

Service was great I appreciate them getting me in and out

Great place to go. Stop by and see them in the store or at the service desk.

I had heard and seen some bad reviews I don't know what these people are talking about. Because for us they were very friendly and courteous, and it seemed like everyone there was happy to be there that is hard to find these days. I spoke to one of the sales people and they were not a pushy salesman and that is also hard to find.

Apparently the Managers are great leaders and have the staff trained to be positive and friendly to all that come in the store sales department and service department. Again if you are looking for an RV or need service go to Fayetteville.
