Camping World in Pooler, Georgia - Service Dept Complaint

We purchased a brand new 2015 Thor Ace Rv from Camping World. We have used their service dept and it is a nightmare. They called us 3 different times to come pick up our rv saying it was ready. 3 times after driving 35 miles one way, they say it is not ready. I plan to get rid of our rv and never do business again hopefully with this company that has an awful service dept that treats you like you are bothering them if they speak to you at the desk. When calling to check status in your rv, they won't pick up their phones and they won't call you back most times.

They hate you bothering about your MAJOR purchase item. Just be a good camping world customer and bend over and take it.

Camping World in Cocoa, Florida - Rip me off

I went to Camping World in cocoa beach, Florida July of 2016 to get for the first time my little popup (really, all my life dream). How nice everybody there was with me, of course they are going to rip me off to sell me a popup with a messy floor, that of course I don't know it was, I thought the way the floor feel was normal. My little trailer cost me $5,000 and now a year later they want to charge me almost $4,000 to fix the floor, an 8' x 10' popup. I never feel so violated in my life, right in my face. Of course you will never win with a big Compny like this one. A lot of sacrifice we have to made to have a little dream comes true and a big monster like Camping World, take it away. I'll never ever going to forget this. I will going to sell my popup in nothing and start from 0 again, tent. Thanks Camping World for break my little dream. God bless you all.

Camping World - Warranty issue

Camping world has our fifth wheel in the shop for three weeks. Never bother to give us a call to let us know if the rv was repaired or what. Most of our calles go into voicemail with no results. Then we were told that Jacob denied the repair. Let's not forget that it is a 2017 North Point and we purchased it in Campingworld on Draper. With an extendet warranty. We finally ended up calling Jaco factory to get the help that we needed. We are so disappointed in Camping World.

We have bought and had all our campers serviced with the one off Hwy 544 and 501 in Myrtle Beach for 9 years. (We are local residents and have given these 2 all our business.). Over the past few years they have progressively gotten worse. It is impossible to get an emergency repair done at either location. Other problems I have had are...not correctly repairing multiple issues, trying to get me to pay more than deductible, saying things are not warranty covered when they are, not knowledgeable enough to even show me how to access the plug for the outdoor fridge... (I figured that out on my own... had to cut an access panel under bed inside... Keystone campers are a joke!!). Anyway, both service locations have been a huge dissapointment. To the point now I never want to deal with them, nor any Camping World ever again. For most of the repairs needed, me or my husband will just do it ourselves because we dont want to deal with them. I used to feel like they cared, and that they were a great company, but everytime in the past few years I have dealt with the service departments, they act like they are doing me a huge favor by even picking up the phone. We are camping this week and the AC has gone out among a list of other warranty issues. Understanding they are busy, I only needed the AC looked at right now and would do the other repairs in the off season. So, this morning we were hung up on 2 times, before even speaking one word to anyone. (So busy they dont even answer now, they just pick up and hang up.) Then, on the third try, I actually did get to speak to someone, but I was told I could leave a message and it might be a day or so before someone would call to make me an appointment. The earliest available appointment, even for emergencies, would be for a month from now. Called the other location, and again got hung up on before even speaking to anyone. When I finally got someone at that location, I got the same story... that nobody was available to talk to and had to leave a message, that they also were a min of 4 weeks wait for any type of appointment. So, both locations told us they are way understaffed with only one service person at each location to speak with...ONE service person at 9am, weekday in July?? That's insane! They need to manage the shop better, hire more staff, or even hire an overnight shift if needed to get their customers serviced. Camping World sells thousands of campers with a sales pitch promising to be full service and take care of all your camping needs... but they don't care at all. Especially disappointing in an emergency. Knowing we cant go camping around here without AC, that would mean we cant use the camper for the rest of summer, I asked if I could take it to someone other than a Camping World repair center to do the work under the Good Sams Extended warranty. I was told they didn't know about that, and it wasn't their problem... so, I asked to speak with management, the lady said no, that management is too busy, I said I would hold until they were available but without another word she just hung up on me. Called back, asked to speak with managemnt, the person who answered that time said they were management. I doubt that was true, but she was more professional. She also said that they were indeed only taking service appointments at earliest for a month from now, emergency or not, and that someone else would have to get back to me to even make the appointment. At least she was able to tell me that, yes, other non-Camping World companies could do warranty work, so I got that much help from her. The first other repair center I called was Camper Connection. (They came highly recommended by friends.) They were very professional, said they could do warranty work, and made an appointment for me for tomorrow. I hope I never have to deal with Camping World ever again... at least not the ones in the Myrtle Beach area!!

I just wanted to share I got a camper at camping world and had a water heater problem. made an appointment took my camper and left it for 10 Days, no service they told me they was to busy. so I picked up my camper after my camping trip I found out the igniter board was bad. Now my camper is only two months old. they told me I needed to pay for the part?? after over an Hr. telling them this camper comes with two year warranty they did give me the part, but told me if I need other parts I would need to get these from Heritage Glen? not sure Camping World is a good service after the sale company. By the way they was trying to sale me the part for over $130 and the part is on amazon for $82. sounds like camping word is trying to double down on warranty.

My toyhauler has a sofa made by Lippert sold through CW. The material has completely fallen apart. Lippert doesn't care. Their customer service was no help. This is a $2200 sofa recliner! I bought an interior care package through CW when I bought the RV. At the time we were told the material was covered by the warranty. I contacted Gulf Shores CW about processing a claim. Three weeks have passed and they won't return a call or e-mail. I'm trying the Dothan store now. Be very careful about their up selling of worthless warranties. This is looking like an $1100 mistake. Hopefully this store does a better job. I'll let you know.

7/30/2017 my sister dona real bought a camper,she stated to the person DAVID ROMER that she could not read the paper he thru down in front of her to sign, he said put your name on it .he said their was insurance on it if anything happened.their was numerous things wrong with it .we took it back in after getting ithome ,because we found so many problems ,this camper started out 4000 dollars and ended up 9000 ,brought back cause more prob. now remember we have ins ,but yet their charging me 400ins and me 700 it was a lemon from beginning to end. i should not be responsible for any more payments of any kind i deserve a right to return this piece of junk or no more payment please help i told them i could not read the contract.i should not have to pay another dime on this camper please help written by janice thomas and paul thomas as witness 7/4/2017 saved copy

Camping World - Horrible purchase experience

Bought a new forest river sierra , delivery supposed to be at eleven am Rv not even ready never left till six pm . .Service did not clean up there mess when they installed the washer and dry Rv not cleaned sawdust in the duct work. Had to resign all the paperwork they had it wrong tried to say out trade had problems , never again would do business with camping world. Insurance that was quoted tried to raise it over two hundred dollars. Now having some issues shower doors cracking ceiling fan in bed room noisy and don't work on high switch gets hot,

This is a very long story but the short version is that I bought a brand new RV two weeks ago and we have several issues with already. If you look at the pictures below this is how they repaired a leak that soaked the under belly of the camper. Didn't look very hard into the problem, now the leak still exists. There is also a leak in the roof or window that is a major issue as well. A few other small issues but my biggest problem and surprise is how I asked for a call back and have yet to get a call, just sarcastic emails. The bottom line is that I went to Camping World expecting a great experience but I was let down by the quality of the product they delivered and poor level of service they gave me.
