Camping World - Poor Consumer Relations

I purchased a 2017 Chateau 31E from Camping World of Calera Alabama in November 2016. On June 29, 2017 the vehicle was taken in for minor warranty repairs. On July 30, 2017 I picked the vehicle up and the work still had not been performed even though the manger assured me that most of the work had been completed when I spoke with him on the phone prior to making the trip to Calera. It took camping world two weeks to send the request to Thor Motor for approval. The work order was approved on the same day that it was received at Thor. Two weeks later not a word from Camping World. I had to call to get an update on my vehicle which consisted of lies and excuses. Camping world is off the list for any future purchases. I pray that I will never need any major repairs.

Camping World - High Prices AND Very Low Professional Standards

Customer Alert Buyer Beware Compared item online and in-store. They wanted to be greedy by also charging us the 'shipping and handling' fee, too. The GM was argumentative to us and loud in front of other customers despite us trying to reason this wasn't a policy before. He couldn't care less. Most employees seem to have a very unprofessional, unwelcoming and unhelpful attitude. One too many bad experiences at their stores despite trying to give the benefit of the doubt. We will never step foot in store nor bother online ever again. Customers deserve SO much better! We called Headquarters to bring this to their attention...phone rang and rang during business hours. Then called CS in retail and she chuckled and said we'll pass this along and we should receive a reply within 48 hrs. Well, 3 days later still no reply! That just goes to show what they really feel about us. (Actions speak louder than words.) ***Please Please Please heed these warning signs and shop elsewhere. Save yourself the anguish and or disappointment. Save yourself money doing so in the meantime. Thank you for your time and patience. Pass this on to your family/friends and or enemies

One of your representative at camping world troutdale oregon called july 25th stating i one lifetime membership. I was at work and asked her to call back on Saturday when my husband and i was home together. And no call nack. I have left 3 messages. Can you help

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE-CAMPING WORLD

Yesterday I went into the San Bernardino store to purchase a small item. I asked the sales clerk if they sold the item and she responded that they did not carry it. After informing her that I had seen the item on line, she very dismissively pointed off into the distance and said "if we carry it it would be over there." After searching for ten minutes, I found the item on an end cap. When I went to the register to purchase the item the original clerk said "oh you wanted the speed socket, you should have said that." I explained to her that she should have taken the time to listen to my description of the item; and I would not have wasted ten minutes searching the store. I told her that her understanding of customer service "sucked" and she would have a hard time in life if she continued interacting with customers in this fashion, to which she responded in a typical juvenile way "actually I have a great life." Obviously, she didn't get my point. Prior to leaving the store I asked to speak to a manager; however, there was no manager on the premises. The bottom line, I will no longer do business with this company. Over the past fifteen years I have made perhaps three purchases from Camping World and each buying experience has been less satisfying. I retired a year ago and my wife and I are about to purchase a large fifth-wheel. Given the consistent lack of professionalism on display at Camping World, we will not even consider purchasing the fifth-wheel from this company or having them service the vehicle. Mike Williams

Camping World - Criminals from sales to top mgt

Bought 26 ft trailer at Pomona show,down pymt. and qualified show special..When picking up,trailer brake installed there..I notice on walk through deep scratches on sinks,broken lites and loose ladder,told them to repair,and they said AS IS,take it or leave it...Show special was not to be sold to me,I had trailer brake removed and left,made DMV complaint and sent problem to OWNER of cw,NO answer,dont deal with liars and criminals including sales mgr...Sign indoors said IF NOT SATISFIED TALK to owner of CW...Next time I went there sign was removed..CW OWNER never got back to me.I bought at Giant RV

Camping World - Our experience at Saukville & Deforest, WI

July 26 '17 My Wife & I are newbies when it comes to RV's & RVing. We are seriously considering a lifestyle change to include some traveling. After doing a lot of searching on the internet we decided to take a day & make a trip from the Green Bay WI area down to Camper World in Saukville & Deforest, WI to see them first hand. The following is our experiences at both locations. At both location the salesperson were not very informed with the units on the lot. To start off, I have never written or posted a review before. Saukville. WI Upon our arrival we met a salesperson and told him we were interested viewing & more info on Class C RV's. We did view 5-6 units ranging in price from $70k-$100k+. Each unit we viewed had some serious issues ranging from holes in interior doors, scratches in walls, doors not opening & closing properly, Steps not extending, electrical equip missing & one even had a lug nut on the front wheel missing. Needless to say this is very discouraging to see this on new units. When I mentioned it to the salesperson they said that people steal & wreck things all the time. I said that a little security might be needed & that it's not very re-assuring from the customer's point of view. To that I was told everything would be taken care of when purchased.....(Kinda late, don't you think? You only get one chance to make the first impression) Deforest, WI Pretty much the same experience as Saukville, although the units were in better condition. The main issues here was that the salesperson didn't know how to work the options on the different units. In one unit, that was $100K+, they couldn't extend the slides, turn on electrical, or extend the steps. In another, it had LED lighting cord hanging from the ceiling, Needless to say, our first experience with RVing & especially Camping World was NOT good. I would assume that a company this size & the reputation of it's CEO Marcus Lemonis, would be, at least, be trying to put it's best foot forward. I have a pretty bad taste in my mouth now, so if & when we buy our first RV it probably won't be with either of these locations. Mike & Gina Wildenberg

Just had a scuffle with camping world in Deforest Wisconsin and I won getting new camper and pisst off manager Do Not Buy From Camping World hopefully you found a different company to buy from still not done with this war with them GB

Camping World - 2017 Heartland/Prowler new travel trailer 28 ft.

Purchased on July 18th at Camping World on Camp Rd. in Hamburg, NY Left for a campout in Wellsville, NY on July 19th. Were told by camp world service dept. that it was all set and good to go all ready for camping. Upon our camp experience this is just some of our issues with a brand new trailer: No shoe on tongue jack. Wires hanging out of rear fender out in the elements. Rear Amber outside light not working Propane tank holder enclosure on top missing. Outside shower leaked. Frig freezes food, no temp control of any kind. Frig opens upon traveling Inside shower water sits on floor after showering and is spongy. Leather rocker had a huge gash in the material and cuts on the backing of each corner. Bedroom slide door still had the block attached preventing it from sliding. Pantry door latch loose, cabinet door sticks Electric line on outside of trailer to short of cord to reach power outlet on pole. Sawdust throughout the trailer, never wiped down in cupboards, under bed and in frig. Metal shavings found on floor and carpet, never vacummed out. Anti freeze still found in the lines. No tv, cutting boards for sink cover or stove burner covers included. Every camper we looked at included these at no charge. Now in Camping world service dept. for at least 6 days or more to try to get everything repaired. For a new unit at $20,000 are you seriously kidding me with all this!!!!! We are extremely frustrated and upset with the way all this was handled. We traded in a 2007 move in condition trailer for this unit. I'm ready to take mine back and say goodbye. Will see how Camping World makes good on their promise. Email to follow!!!!

Filled service part of our contract. Now,waiting new,table that had gashes.

Both leather rockers have gashes and scratches. Trying to have them repaired. Will see how that works..

out....still upset. Have to go back to service again.ughhhh

Brace yourselves for the unhappiness to come. Camping world is the biggest RV dealership chain & because of this size their service is the WORST.

Good luck to you though.

Camping World - Good report

My husband and i were camping in MB so we went to Camping World to look at new trailers. After buying a used trailer there last yr. And not satisfied at all we decided to give them another chance. Susie was our sales person and treated us well also the young man that went over our trailer was great. I liked to let him know that we bought a new truck a 250 diesel. Ittows much better.

Camping World in Bellemont, Arizona - The worst I have been treated in anystor anywhere

This is by far the mosy usless RV store on the planet. I had some minor issues while traveling a cross the U.S. from Massachusetts To California. I needed a handle the saw lost ( for my gray water tank valve ( sorry out of stock) that was after I huntted for 10 minutes to find someone that worked there, he said sorry I dont work in this deparment I will get you someone that does. Another 10 minutes goes by and some guy says can I help you. I tell him what I am looking for and he says let me check in the back. I am not sure whete he went but 20 minutes later he comes out and see me standing there and asks if i need any help?? WTF. Ya you wete checling to see if you had the pary I needed. He says Oh ya , now we dont. So I go down the street to a small RV dealer and walk in they help me right away and have the part and i am out the door and on my way in 5 minutes with thals you come again. I did by something at the Camping world, cap for my bumper. I took it to the register and the lady says " can't check out here you will have to ho over to "that register over there" so I do as I was asked and wait another 10 minutes for someone one to come out to ring me up. She see's me standing there and finally after I ask her if someone is going to ring me up. She gets maf at me and goes and gets a guy from the office to come out. ( same guy that I delt with when I wad looking for the part that they did not have. He asks me if I found everything I needed. Really are you that *** not to know that 15 minutes ago you could not help me with the part I needed. Needless to say I was less then inpressed. So i figure eveyone has an off day and maybe it was just that store. So now I am in another store ( thinking they can' t all be that bad. I go in to the store not a sole around anywhere. Could have taken whatever i wanted and walked out. I finally get someone to help me. ( i just need a clip for one of my bars on my hitch) guess what? Out of stock and tried to sell me another part at twice the price that would not work. ( found the part at the campground camp store) He asked me if I needed anything esle. I said yes a camp reading light ( 12 volt that goes in the 12 volt outlet) Ho we dont sell those try the auto parts store. So again I find someting else I need (TP) I get to the register and wait and wait. Finally the lady comes to ring me up and she is just plain rude. Like i was bothering her by trying to pay for my TP. Needless to say I WILL NEVER SHOP AT CAMPING WORLD EVER AGAIN. I have used there on line store many times without issue and was looking forward to going into one of there stores. NOT ANYMORE and when there little flyers come in the mail, well those I will use to train my puppy .
