Dissatisfied how they conduct business!

I selling my RV to Camping World. They offered me a price prior to taking it to a local Camping World. When I get to the local CW they inspected it which was fine. I had my RV for 6 years there were a few things wrong. I had mentioned those to them. Well, they start finding things wrong with the RV, roof was in good shape washed twice a year but I did not seal it they deducted. By the time it was all done they lowered by price by $6,000! I did not had to take the offer but had hauled my RV down to their place know faced if I wanted to haul it back home.

Horrible Experience! I have had my camper going on three months and was just able to have a camping trip this past weekend.

Lots of issues with the camper and camping world did not try to make any good efforts to fix them. I ended having to pay an independent service tech to come out and fix sewage, hot water heater, and many other things that camping world would not fix on a brand-new trailer. I took it back up there, and they did not fix any issues and the warranties and Good Sam stuff is a complete waste of money. Not only that, but I got the best warranty they offered and extended it, but it does absolutely nothing.

I do not recommend buying a camper here.

If you live in Birmingham or close by, it is worth the drive to go somewhere else. From the buying experience, to service experience has been the worst I have ever dealt with, but THEY DO NOT CARE!ot buy heredo Do n

I lost my antenna and damaged the lifting bars. I had previously purchased a two year warranty on the antenna. It took 3 days and 5 phone calls till someone told me I would get nothing, Then I contacted Marcus's office and started a case, that was two weeks ago haven't heard from them. I'm glad Amazon was $40 cheaper. It's a wonder CW is still in business business

Our rv was much worse when we got it back from Camping World in Roanoke, VA. DONT GO THERE FOR ANYTHING. THEY WILL TALK AND NOT DO WHAT THEY PROMISE!!! BEWARE!!!!

Poor service

purchased a camper from Camping World at Myrtle Beach last year. The refrigerator has to be repaired every time the camper is set up. The first time It is out this year and does not work again. Repairman was rude and said his thermometer showed it was working fine. However it wont go under 50 degrees and will not freeze water. This fridge needs to be replaced but they will not do it. I am very frustrated with such bad service.

Ordered a pair of tire covers. Ordered 2 tandem covers. They sent the wrong item. Wasted over an hour on phone and absolutely no help. My order had item number on order. They did not send the items I ordered. Then she lied to me and said that even though I ordered by item number that it does not mean Camping World will send out what I ordered?????? Then she hung up on me.

Selling lemons for new camper

Just bye a 2021 prowler camper from camping world Swedesboro the air condition stop working trying to call them for over a week now and finally I called them this morning I get through to someone they couldnt get me through the service department they take my number and then they have someone call me back because after I threaten that I was going to post it all over Facebook then they called me they told me they dont have any appointments until next month

Called me said work was done. Drove 34 miles to get my Motor home, (Brand New) 16 days. Nothing had been done! Nothing! Its still at the dealership getting "The Sun Service Out Back" I walked back to look at it. B.S.

Poor sales experience

There's a reason Camping World of Akron, OH has only one star. We visited there Saturday 1/9/21 even though we were warned by many RV regulars to avoid the place.

They had a specific RV we wanted to see and wanted to give Camping World the opportunity to provide us a better shopping experience than expected. Plus, we are Marcus Lemonis fans and hoped he had improved the place's bad reputation. Boy did we make a mistake! We negotiated a price on an RV and even though I did not think is was a great deal, we decided to go with it because there is such demand for RVs now and we didn't want to get shut out of not having an RV for the upcoming season.

My spouse was putting the RV in her name and she filled out all the initial paperwork. Now, we had told the salesman we could buy the RV outright if we wanted, but wanted to see what our financing options were before deciding. My wife signed the credit inquiry release but it was crystal clear that the credit report would not be pulled until needed. Soon, a finance guy named Scott sat down in front of us and started the used car salesman routine.

Scott told us to our face that he had NOT YET pulled the report, and could offer us a guaranteed 5.99% finance rate without pulling the credit report. I noticed my spouse was getting uncomfortable about the deal so I told her it would be no harm to sleep on it a night. Scott said we could do that, but if we waited one day, we would lose many hundreds of dollars of promotions they had that weekend. Now remember.

It was Saturday and the promos were for Saturday AND Sunday but Scott was going to deny us those promotions if we came back the next day, Sunday, to complete the deal. That really offended us. My wife asked him why he would do that to us. Scott said that's just the way it works!

We soon walked out. Exactly one month later my wife got three letters in the mail from the three credit reporting agencies. They said that her credit report WAS pulled on 1/9/21, and based on the score, she did NOT qualify for the deal Camping World had offered. Now for one, her score was in the higher end of the 700's so she had better than average credit to get financing.

Two, at NO TIME while we were at Camping World did they tell us her credit was pulled.....they did just the opposite. After going back and forth with Camping World's customer service (Jessica E.) we have since learned that the credit report was pulled JUST BEFORE the finance guy Scott sat down and told us to our face, "I have not yet run your credit." So it appears he knowingly lied to us, knew we could qualify for a better finance rate that 5.99%, then tried to trick us into going with the higher rate so he and Camping World would make more off of us. Jessica E. of customer service knows this and hasn't done anything other than hand the matter off to the Akron Camping World.

The Akron finance manager called me once a week ago (John I think), knows all this information too, but has failed to call us again. All we want is the credit inquiry to be removed but have said that can't be done. They have no explanation why Scott lied to us or why we were denied the promos by waiting one day. It had been almost a week now and it appears Camping World is done with us.

Now I feel it is my obligation to warn other customers what to expect. DO NOT sign anything until it is absolutely necessary!

DO NOT believe anything your Camping World salesman or finance person tells you! Have them put EVERYTHING in writing so you have it documented!

Camping world has taken to long to ship my order

Ive been on hold fo nearly an hour, I called every number I could find for customer service and order status/tracking only to be put in a hold pool. I finally got a hold of a customer service person who told me my order would ship in 1-2 days this will put my order nearly 3 weeks to ship, there promise is 10-14 days. Im very frustrated with the service and not being able to get updates with out spending an afternoon on hold. In summary the service SUCKS and this will most likely be my last time using camping world !!!!!

Poor to no service from Dometic and Camping World

In mid-May our Dometic furnace and a/c conditioner stopped working. Many cold days/nights without warmth and many hot days/nights without cooling (continue to this day with 100 degree heat in the trailer and we are an 80 yo male and a 75 yo female). We have a Dometic service company working on a solution but to no avail. This is our residence. We can't get relief.Don't buy D away

At Camping Worlds Gander RV Sales in LakeWales Florida, Kids are running the place. I was Promised a $300 gift card to close the deal. Had to wait three months to get my camper and then was told no one ever promised a $300 gift card because they never give anyone a $300 gift card and if I was promised, it mustve been by someone who doesnt work there anymore. I was then offered $100 gift card, but when I picked up my unit the same thing happened I was told no one promised me $100 gift card. I was charged over $250 to plug-in a $49.95 brake module after I was told would be $200. However, I did get a great deal on my new camper.
