Camping World - Purchased merchandise from online store, spam emails won't stop

I made a purchase from Camping Worlds online store. Even made sure the box was not checked about receipt of advertisements. Now I get advertisements from them at a minimum of every other day. I've emailed customer service and got a song and dance about it takes up to 6 weeks to be removed from their advertising list. I've utilized their UNSUBSCRIBE link that says it takes 7 days to be removed from the list, yet 2 weeks later I'm still receiving their unsolicited advertisements. Seems like the harder I try to make their garbage go away, the more they send me. Purchase made on 8/14 and first advertisement received 8/17, followed by 8/19, 8/21, 8/23, 8/25, 8/26, 8/28. First email I sent complaint to customer service asking to be removed. Remainder emails received I used the UNSUBSCRIBE link that said it takes up to 7 days to be removed.

August 2019 and I am having the exact same issue. Have "unsubscribed" 4-5 times now and they keep coming.

With Camping World's lousy reputation, I will never buy anything from them. I have emailed Customer Service to stop the spam.

I have started forwarding them to the FTC spam email because if anyone deserves a hefty fine it is the owner of Camping World. spam@uce.gov

Same issue. Companies like this lose business due to their spam emails and failure to honor unsubscribe requests.

I have the same issue twice now I’ve logged in to change my email preferences and unselected all 112 possible email types and the button that requests affiliate emails and when I log back in they are all rechecked. My next option is to cancel my membership.

Camping World - Horrible custom service

I when called to make an appointment to have my travel trailer serviced, I told the service person when we would be needing it, (several months from then) I was give a date to bring my trailer (2 months later but still 4 weeks before we needed it). We dropped our trailer off at the appointed time and were told it would be done in a week. After a week and half, I called and they hadn't even started on it. I was told it would be done the following week. Called again, same story. This continued until the week before we were to leave and they guaranteed me it would be done. I got a call 2 days before we were suppose to leave and was told there was no way they would get to our trailer. When I went in to pick it up, no apologies, nothing. The had our trailer for 4 weeks and never even moved it from the place I had parked it, and that was with an appointment. I will never go back there again

Camping world Valencia worst service dept

Bought a new motorhome from Fresno Camping World first of July. Several issues found during walk through. Things that should have been addressed before we picked up. Came from 3 hours from home to purchase. Sales people and service assured us that we could get the parts needed and make them available to the Valencia Camping World close to our home. Made out a work order for these parts Service said they would call Monday and get things set to have issues fixed. Monday No call. We called everyday for 2 weeks to Fresno Service and no calls back. In mean time tried to get appt at the Valencia Camping World for the service. More issues came up. Called from July 10th until July 24th and emailed and no one would call back. Finally got a hold of live person and appt made for middle of August. Took it in, gave list of issues explained what Fresno camping world did. Girl in service said it would be two weeks. Explained had to be done in that 2 weeks. Had vacation planned for awhile. Silly to think I could really use my new motorhome! But 2 weeks OK! She even told us she would try for 1 week but couldn't promise. Knowing that wouldn't happen we didn't get concern about it yet. But she did promise to call in a few days to let us know what was happening and what they were fixing. By the fourth day and No call we tried and left messages. Tried again next day then the next. Called tired to speak to anyone. It has been 2 weeks and Not One single call , email or message from anyone. I drove there a few days ago was given every excuse in the book and boldly lied too. Our Son went again this morning and got a different set of lies. I don't think it has even been looked at and was put in their offsite storage and we will have to make them go it when we pick it up. Very upsetting a business is handled this way. I know it is a busy time for RV service centers. But to be boldly lied to over and over. And to have zero communication to their customers with no follow through at all. Anybody thinking of buying from Camping World beware! You will not get the service or customer respect for purchasing and spending your hard earned money with them.

Camping World - Delayed Shipping and Lies

I ordered a couple of items from Camping World online. I received one of the items I ordered and when I checked my account online, the item I received had a tracking number but the other item said, "direct from manufacturer." I sent an email to CW and made an inquiry about the missing item. As you can guess, the email was not answered! A few days later, I called and spoke to a customer service rep. He put me on hold and called the company. When he returned to the phone, he told me the item was drop shipped from the company and I could call back for a tracking number. When I told him I was familiar with shipping and I know a tracking number is issued at the time a label is printed, he was silent. He told me he put a rush on it and they didn't know the items were back ordered. I put this order in about 3 weeks ago and nothing was said about a delay or back order. If the item was shipped, there is a tracking number. The rep didn't care about what he told me and just wanted to get off the phone. I will never order anything from CW and I don't think I'll go to their store anymore.

Don't expect camping world to help you if you're on the road. They won't squeeze you in and they won't help you no matter the emergency, and they will tell you that you'll have to come back 2 months from now because their list is just a long waiting list. Rowley White rvs in arizona had me in and out in a day. But CW has never treated me like a valued member, not even once. And they will run your bill up the longer they have it.

Sent this to Service Manager maybe I will get a call. Mr. Gilbert, This is Dean Quesada and you have my Jayco Recon that I dropped off on June 1st. We have spoken after I had a chat session with someone to express my disappointment with the fact Darrell would not come out and speak with me. You and I spoke and you said you would call me to give me an update, this was a few weeks ago. I have been traveling for work and I was finally back last Friday. I sent a text to Phil and he said he has been off work and that I need to reach out to Darrell. Based on his lack of interaction with me the last time I went all the way out there I figured I would send this to you. Can you please tell me if my trailer is done? Phil said last he knew it just needed to be washed. I am hoping that you will take the time to get back with me as I will be on the road later this week. I also wanted to find out what you are going to do about my batteries? We talked about this and I told you I had texts from Phil saying that fact they went bad was his fault. Please see his texts below. I'll have to make it up to you. It's going to be my fault the batteries went dead. My phone is not working as good as it should I just heard back from Phil and it seems his sister passed? I just need to get closure on this issue. Thank you, Dean Quesada

Do yourself a favor and get your unit out of the clutches of these worthless b@$+@&ds.

You will never get it fixed properly unless you do.

Find a real independent repair facility and NEVER go back to any camping world again.

Camping World customer for 30 years! No more! A CEO is in place to run a business not pontificate on politics! The tragic events in Charlottesville were masterminded by political operatives with the goal of causing chaos and subverting the free speech rights of all Americans. The officials there knew what they were doing and allowed factions with different opinions explode and someone ended up getting killed. The police were told to withdraw and allow the violence as planned by outside and inside agitators. Shame on the Charlottesville officials and on those who can't seem to look at things with an objective eye and recognize it was a setup.

After discussing this matter with the dealership this turned out to be nothing more than bad communication and they will be resolving the issues this week.

Edit Sep 15th - I now have evidence from another RV dealership who did an inspection that the fridge, furnace and water heater DO NOT WORK on propane. 3 of 4 appliances that I was assured were tested during a presale "Appliance check" DO NOT WORK.

With this new information, now I can go to the BBB and file my complaint. Hopefully it will result in a huge find and termination of the salesman who misrepresented the condition of the RV.

Go ANYWHERE else, but do not buy from Camping World. These people are extremely shady. Google really needs to devise a way to leave 0 stars. This business would surely get a 0. As soon as they have your money they forget they ever knew you. They sold me an RV based on a huge pile of lies. I did not notice on the lot, but the RV I bought was at some point obviously involved in a small side impact accident, as the cab is pushed off center by 1/2". That may not seem like a lot, but it is something that should be disclosed, should it not? I expected minor things to be wrong, but is a side impact incident a minor thing? They tried to sell me this RV with a generator that did not start, the logic apparently being "Once you sign for it, it's on you. YOU replace it!" The cranking battery does not hold a charge. The fridge does not work. I now need to take it to an RV service center, NOT Camping World, and have a long list of things checked out, and I antipate a HUGE repair bill in my near future. There are things I don't know about this RV, and I have asked questions that are answered with "I don't know." I recently was told that I need to flip some shutoff valve so the water heater fills before I turn the heater on. I asked the salesman where that valve was. He said "I don't know." Well if HE doesn't know, how would I know? He also made no effort to find out. With the other reviews, and now my experience, they truly seem like a shady dealership and I advise you to avoid them. They sold me this thing with so much wrong that it will require my taking it in for service already, as I don't want to risk using it until I have everything fixed. That is going to mean inconveniencing someone to follow me there and bring me home, then do the reverse to pick it up. Avoid Camping World. Go ANYWHERE else.

So which Camping World employee are you? The salesman who sold me this thing and badly misrepresented the condition, or his manager who informed him of the review?

This review was completely honest.

I was given a checklist of the appliances that were allegedly tested. The fridge does NOT work on propane. That checklist said it did.

Very soon I will have everything repaired that should not have been inoperative when they turned it over to me.

Once I have that the BBB will be involved, and I will win, and they will pay for the repairs plus however much I ask for in punitive damages. This isn't close to over.

we tried BBB got no where no resolutions there they said try to work it out Camping world said I was asking for too much to be fixed only asking for the promised things to be fixed big promises no work they told me to remove our unit from their lot !!!!We did with a long list of things still left to be fixed small claims court next or anyone kow how to get a class action suit and get all of us unhappy cmaping world campers a settlement????From all over the USA there are thousands of us might just work!!!

Camping World - Samsung Refrigerator

We purchased a 2018 Montana from Camping World Tulsa, 8/11/17 this is our VERY FIRST RV. We went thru the orientation of full unit, lights were on in refrigerator, but next morning we went to set temperature and it would never COOL or Freeze. They should have made sure the Refrigerator was cooling before it left the lot. That was NOT DONE. We re-read, re-set, re-tried, waited to allow time to process, after a week of nothing we tried to call to speak with the orientation guy or anyone in the service department, but no one answered the phone after several attempts. My husband than had to drive back to Tulsa to speak to someone in service and was told we would have to wait 2 weeks, and that NO ONE in service could work on a Samsung Refrigerator. We spoke with David our sales agent and he suggested some things, but we had already done those, he drove to our home in Claremore OK to check it out, did what we did and again waited. STILL NO COOLING. We are now going on 2 weeks, We contacted Samsung Dealers and they did send a man out, he stated there are not enough repair men here so they have to come from California. (Really) The line for Freon was cracked (stating these lines are NOT meant for movement and are very weak- crack very easily -NOT MEANT FOR RVing). We are now waiting for a SPECIALIST who can work with Freon to repair, if that can't be done a NEW Refrigerator will have to be put in. HOW can you put a new one in without tearing up the kitchen. ?????? NOT HAPPY Why DO YOU put in Appliance's that your company can't work on and service and are NOT meant for RV's. (really) I SUGGEST A BETTER OPTION. We are past 2 weeks of purchase can't use RV properly and WE ARE VERY UPSET. Still waiting for a call from Specialist and if it can be fixed. Made Reservations to use RV Sept 1st. Doesn't Look Good. Spencer & Mary S.

Camping World in Golden, Colorado - WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!

So, we went to Camping World in Golden earlier this evening to see what work had been done on the camper. It was after hours, and the gate was open like it had been before on a Sunday evening when we were looking for my husbands truck that was left to be worked because his keys were in the truck and did not find our vehicle anywhere on the premises. Our truck was not on the lot or in the service bays. So obviously, someone decided to take the truck home with them. When we went to leave, they had locked the gate without checking to see if anyone was left on the lot. We were locked in and had to call Golden Police Department. The police department contacted the GM of Camping World for Golden, and they sent out the store manager Dawn who was the rudest person I have ever met. She was even rude to another couple who was told by corporate to drop off their travel trailer that evening. What I find amazing is that not one person at Camping World apologizes for their screw up, instead, they make excuses. Seriously, what *** locks the gate before checking to see if there are any customers left on the lot. We have had nothing but problems with Camping World in Golden since we purchased our 5th wheel over two weeks ago. We still have not received delivery. Corporate needs to seriously do something about this store. May I suggest cleaning house. This store can be described in this matter: They lie, they are deceptive, they don't care about the customer after you sign on the dotted line, the service department and parts department treat you as if you don't exist and act irritated that you need their help. When standing at the service counter waiting to get help, one employee would be playing on his phone instead of seeing how he can be of assistance. The store manager acts like a security guard and treats you as if you have invaded and interrupted her space. Nobody answers the phone, so to get any answers, you have to make the drive back to the store. I even heard an employee working at the service counter state, "I don't answer phones." There is so much more I could say about this store but I'm just too frustrated to continue. I have been through the mill. If I ever get my 5th wheel, I will NEVER patronize this store again. Purchasing my 5th wheel at Camping World has been the worst buying experience EVER.

I want reimbursed for my travel time due to lack of communication, I want Camping World to make my first payment on my 5th wheel because it has sat on your lot for over 2 weeks, along with my truck, and I want my walk through and my delivery tomorrow!
