No.

Go to your local Sheriff's office with the popup, and all paperwork.

Tell the sheriff's office the story and file charges,

Camping World - They hold generator orders for what?!?!?!?!?!?!

9/7 ordered a Honda generator. Hurricane coming, so taking a precaution. Called to ask whether I could use my own UPS account number to pay for expedited shipping. Was told the order would be held for one to two days to investigate whether my intent was to resell the generator at a higher price. I asked for a callback from the manager and never received one. So by the time I get the generator, it'll be too late. Hope I don't need it. I live in Atlanta. The item ships from Louisville, KY. I would have received it on Monday had they shipped same day. Camping World is providing sandbags in Orlando so I know they're aware of the storm. They were one of few who had this generator in stock. I am sorely disappointed in this so-called policy, in light of this situation, if my request is ignored (note I did not say not granted) I will speak of this loudly in every forum I can find, and will NEVER purchase anything from any of their outlets again.

Followup.

It's now October 16. I received my generator 4 days after the power went out.

Too late.

To be clear, I am not asking CW to do anything more than to acknowledge that the policy is wrong and that they made an error. To that end I have emailed them 3 times by email and received one scripted response about when the item would ship. About 10 days ago I posted this matter on Camping World's Facebook page and received a response within hours.

The response indicated that I would be called by a CW manager. Yep. You guessed it. No callback.

So here's the situation as I see it.

Camping World is probably ok if nothing goes wrong and you're not in a hurry.

But, if Customer Service comes into play, especially if it involves some sort of accountability, choose a different retailer. That's how I feel.

I know exactly how you feel. We live in NC and ordered a generator on September 5th and have yet to get it.

We have called and keep getting the run around. Said they placed on hold to verify our address since it was a large expensive ticket item. Gave some false tracking # for UPS. I called today, Monday 9/11 and they said it was not shipping via UPS but their ECO Freight selected it to go thru FedEx!!

I ask why does their system tell me UPS and they have no response. My husband called last Thus, 9/7 and he was told it was shipping from Kentucky. I just looked it up on FedEx and our generator was shipped from Fort Worth Texas not Kentucky!! So for all we know it could have been sitting in flood waters somewhere in Texas.

It is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, 9/12.

Camping World has lost our business. We are campers and have given this company thousands over the years....NEVER AGAIN!!

Camping World - Poor service after the sale

2.4
Details
We have driven three trips of 150 miles round trip to fix items on our new purchase rv. We found another problem while waiting for parts and wanted to let them know and the status of parts on order. We have called four times and left messages for service and asked to return our calls and no one returns them. I wish I knew this problem before I made the purchase or I never would have bought from them. Buyer beware!

Camping World Hendersonville NC

Camping World Hendersonville NC
I bought a new Dutchmen camper from camping world Paid 39,000. for it Got GREAT service from the sales department but then when you need it serviced its a disgrace My camper has set their for 5 days and not even been looked at. When I get upset with them they act like I should just set and wait on them .I could understand if they had looked at it but it is still not even been looked at When you call they say it might be 2 to 3 weeks Not what they said when I left it there. Was told it would be ready by the weekend  No one will leave their camper seating and waiting to be serviced for 3 weeks Had a trip planned will cost me money to cancel at this late a date Then Audrey had the nerve to tell me not to curse at her because I told her  its not my fault they can not get their *** together. The last time I checked that is not a curse word Not nice to say but her attitude was not very nice either. Best thing I can say is DO NOT BUY A CAMPER FROM CAMPING WORLD

Camping World - They only care about the money

i drove an 2 hours only to have a sales man sell a unit out from under me while i traveled a distance to see it . they also jacked up the price with bogus processing fees and preps. a real screw the consumer outfit. one sales came out while i was reviewing the unit and obviously went in to another customer on the phone and convinced them to pay a card deposit to take the unit from me as i was about to purchase it . the consumer on the lot viewing the unit should have the priority. they are dishonest to give you one price on the phone and add on fees after you arrive on the lot. go some where else

Camping World in Kaysville, Utah - FREEDOM ELITE 29FE

Bought the motorhome and immediately realized it needed a second battery; no big deal as RV was already scheduled to come into service before we left the lot for bent poles that hold the scrapper mechanism on top of the slide. Took it in and they said they fixed it; when we picked it up looked the same but they are the professionals. During trip scrapper completely tore when we got back message from camping world that they never did the work because parts were still in service area. Ok, whatever... Took it in along with complaint about radio not working "crackling to point you can't use "not what you want in something you'll be putting long hours in. Also have problem with the battery switch sometimes not working which means no power to inside of RV. Checked on it after about a week and was told it was fixed "why they don't call I'll never understand". Went and got it, new scrapper was installed and they told us they replaced radio and switch fixed. Got about 2 miles and radio had same issue so turned around and took it back. Told me they'd see what was wrong after watching technician beat the *** out of the dash. Checked back after a couple of weeks "no call again" and they said it was done. Went in and they told me radio is fine as long as I only use the back speakers; explained that was unacceptable and left it there. Called numerous times to check on status over next few weeks and finally they returned a call, they usually just let it go to voice mail and never call you back. Said they found a bad speaker on drivers door but they don't know who to order it through, either ford or thor. Went and picked it up while they figured that out for next trip. After picking it up battery switch stopped working again; went on a forum and ole timer told me to rock the switch back and forth a bunch of times to see if that worked. It did....weird but RV got power and it worked fine after that. Went on next trip and wall of cabinet over fridge just fell in, then all the seals around vents fell out of channels, molding in bedroom fell off, battery switch stopped working again and water is coming into living area of RV every time it rains. So had the RV for about 7 months, only 4 camping trips, and it is complete junk. Took RV in with this list of issues only to be told the awning is not all the way retracted, I explained that we retract it but as it goes down the road it sags out about 4 inches so they told us they would fix that as well. Now the RV has been in shop for nearly 30 days during the summer "I'm in Utah" so camping season is limited due to weather for this latest list of issues. We wanted to do some rafting so went to camping world to get some items out of RV and explained we expected it back by now so we needed to get into it for items. After 30 days nothing has been touched, went back into service and they told us they are waiting on parts and get this that includes the radio speaker that was originally an issue when we first got it. They said, are your ready for this.....We have to determine who to order the speaker from, Thor or Ford. At which point we just shook our heads and walked out. Now we've had to cancel some trips due to no RV "SEEMS TO BELONG TO THEM NOW SINCE IT SPENDS MORE TIME THERE THAN ON MY PAD". Been calling all morning and nobody will return a call to let them know we have a trip next week and would like the RV we purchased back. So now I'm going to have to go in and sit across from a service guy "name is Bo" absolutely horrible and he'll tell me what another service guy once told me when I had to do same thing "our mechanics don't have computers so we'll have to go over these one at a time to figure out where we're at.

Camping World - Service department made big error, didn't care

3.0
Details
When the service department replaced my bent electric jack, they took off the breakaway switch piece that attaches to the truck and didn't replace it. We drove off into busy traffic and the trailer brakes locked and began smoking. Luckily another driver waved us to a stop and told us to get out. When I called Camping World, the service desk person knew immediately what the problem was and said she would send someone to help. She did, but it was not a Camping World employee -- it was just someone she knew. He replaced the piece. Since then, we've heard nothing from Camping World, and I got no response from customer service. I am concerned this caused brake and tire damage, especially since we basically drug the trailer up a big hill with the brakes locked, but obviously it is just a "my bad" to Camping World.

Resolved: Camping World - The CEO'S (MARCUS LEMONIS) comment.

Update by user Sep 05, 2017

It hasn't been resolved

Original review posted by user Sep 05, 2017

I am very upset with the attitude of the CEO'S (MARCUS LEMONIS) comment that anyone who supports PRESIDENT TRUMP can shop somewhere else but not in his CAMPING WORLD stores. Had I known this I wouldn't of bought my camper from them just a couple months ago. I agreed with the President that all were at fault at the Charlottesville, Virginia incident. So, that being said, I'm not welcomed to shop in his stores!! If i don't agree with him, I'm not allowed in his stores! Well, that's fine with me, there are plenty of places to buy a camper and supplies. And, I'll do my best to make sure everyone I meet knows what he said. I'll tell the world in any way I can to inform them what this *** said. I will also make sure people know GANDER MOUNTAIN is own by camping world and the same CEO (MARCUS LEMONIS). I can't believe this man still has a job. He should of kepted politics out of it!

Keystone Dealership--CAMPING WORLD

After a week of our trailer sitting at Camping World due to the slide out jumping (it's only a year old). We FINALLY got an answer back from them--their answer--"We have no idea what's wrong with it" What kind of service center is that?! In addition it's a $145/hour diagnosis fee and we haven't been able to get an answer out of them until today and the trailer has literally been there for a full week! So much for making an appointment. That was a week ago. Supposed to leave on a trip in less than a week and the trailer's still broken. They shouldn't have wasted our time bringing it there and then never telling us anything once we dropped it off--
