Camping World - Terrible service

My husband and I are traveling throughout the USA 48 states in our Hurricane Thor. We have tried to schedule twice a oil change for our RV in South Dakota, Rapid City and they blew us away they told us to try a local RV service, so we went somewhere else where they provided us excellent service. As we journey down south to North Carolina with more miles on our RV we need a second oil change and maintenance so we decided to give Camping World another try. We call camping World and again they blow us away...she told me to contact some one in town. I told my husband Wow!!!! "That sucks, I guess Camping World don't want our business" Camping World advertises and claims excellent service and friendly service. It's hard to believe that. We felt you should know our dissatisfaction with Camping World. My email is Teresa.Carreto@yahoo.com u hope for further travelers like us they don't experience the lack of interest your employees have for us travelers. Some of us rely on excellent service especially because we're far away from home. We have traveled from California and we have never been treated so disrespectful like this. I hope Camping World will evaluate their costumer service to meet the need of their clients. U thank you for listening and I hope to hear from your organization real soon. God bless America:)

2.5
Details
They get you in there to buy an RV what's are nice but you have nothing but problems afterwards the service department is the worst in the world you can't get nothing done we bought our camper there in May and we met out four times in it and had several problems wrong with it for a 2018 Sierra and they still have it and they still haven't got it fixed in this is the end of September they blame the manufacturer to manufacture blames them and it is a total mess I would never buy at Camping World in Wentzville or any other Camping World because it seems to this is Nationwide something has to be done about this unhappy customers for a big corporation like this I understand Warren Buffett has a lot of money into this I think he needs to be contacted on this to see where his money is actually going I see on other sites that there is a wanting to get a class action suit against Camping World Nationwide something has to be done this is this is totally stupid the way they operate

CAMPING WORLD CEO TRIED TO RUIN ME

South Florida RV Dealer Files lawsuit against Camping World for Fraud Civil Conspiracy, Theft of Trade secrets among other things. There is a thing called fair competition and I was prepared for that but what happen here was way below the belt.. It was personal all because i had no interest in selling my company to Camping World or its CEO. He went as far as to have me trespassed from a local horse show and stop me personally for competing in the horse show event. Non of that had anything to do with selling RVs it was just intentionally to hurt me and destroy my business.

Called them four times ,and asked if they would sell a Dometic toliet for the price that was on the Camping World web. site.I also asked if I had to buy anything more or get a membership to get the web. price, and was told on the phone no,just bring the web. page in and they would meet the price. When I drove there they said that I would have to buy a membership to get the online price! The web.site said they ship for free and did not say anything about any membership, this will be the last time I will ever go into any Camping World store.

They need to make some changes in middle in management before they can move on.I managed a Com. under achieving of 750 k and took it 9.2mil. In just several years,so I know this can happen if you make changes in attitudes.

Camping World - I ordered a sleep number bed, didn't get it

1.3
Details
They sent 2 boxes which both contained identical PARTS of the bed. When I tried to get them to send the correct item, they refused until they got the wrong items that they had sent back. The customer service manager said that was their "process". Apparently sending the wrong item is also their "process". It has been 11 days since they received their screw up back and they have yet to credit my card. I have had to file a complaint with the credit card company.

Camping World - Treated like a thief

On Wednesday, September 6, 2017, while returning to our home in Palm Coast Florida we decided to stop at a Camping World Store and purchase a Honda 200i generator. We made this decision because Hurricane Irma was only two days away and were afraid that there would be no generator to purchase in Florida when we got home. We stopped at the Lake Park Georgia store and they had only two or three generator left in stock. The only Honda they had was a 2800i that was on display. I specifically asked that, “If we do not need the generator for the storm could it be returned or exchanged for a Honda 2000i later”. The reply was, “ I don’t see where that would be a problem”. We were lucky and we never lost power during the Hurricane Irma however millions of Florida residents were not so lucky. Because I knew there were many people searching for generators, I attempted to return the generator to the St, Augustine Camping World on Monday, September 11, 2017. When I explained that I wanted to return the generator, A young employee at the Camping World very rudely informed me so that everyone on that side of the store could hear, as if I were somehow trying to cheat his company, stated that, “Store Policy was no return on generators what so ever and that I could call corporate and complain if I wanted to and they would tell me the same thing”. He then turned his back on me and walked away. I returned home and looked up the return policy posted on the camping world website and found that, (1) Generators are returnable within 30 days, (2) Generators must be in the original packaging – the generator I was sold was from display, was not in a box and no box was ever mentioned, and (3) generators prepped with gas or oil are not returnable – the generator I was sold was never prepped by me or the store with oil or gas. I then attempted to chat with Camping World on their website and explained the whole story to them and was told that they were only a call center. They did however give me a telephone number for customer relations at Camping World’s corporate office. I called that number and told them the whole story and was told that they would get back to me within 48 hours. That was about a week ago and I not heard a word from them. I strongly that I have been lied to and treated like a common criminal by Camping World of St Augustine and their cooperate headquarters. I never say never however it is unlikely that I will ever do business with Camping World again.

Camping World - WHATEVER YOU DO BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE

1.0
Details
If there is one thing I could change about this past year it would be buying from Camping World. It has been nothing but a very expensive and depressing pain. They lied to us about the price of the camper, when questioned in closing they told us our math was just wrong and it was what we agreed upon. Fast forward to when they send us our paperwork to get our tag and come to find out they charged us 8k more than agreed upon. They refuse to do anything about it even after our salesman told them they had screwed up and over charged us. They also sold us a fifth wheel attachment that voided our warranty. I have been fighting with corporate for 4 months trying to get that straightened out. The list of problems we've had with them goes on and on and on. We love our Montana High Country but I wish we hadn't bought from Camping World.

Camping World - Careless RV Techs.

1.0
Details
Purchased 2014 Keystone Cougar March of 2014. Grey water tank developed leak December of 2015. We took it to Camping World of Raleigh, NC. It took one month to get parts. When we finally got it back we left on a 4 month trip. We had set of camp for a week. I was showering and water filled in tank so I asked wife to go drain grey. After a few minutes here she comes with grey water handle in her hand. I had to get out of shower without finishing my shower and go see what the dummies had done. So when they replaced tank they had removed the valve and replaced with a new one. The wrapping valve came in was stuffed up under belly of RV, So called tech couldn't even put wrapper in trash. Valve was not placed back level so handle could come through hole and screw back into valve so when you pull it to drain it would open valve. Called CW in Raleigh and had it out with store Manager. This was the third time and the last time I ever would do business with such a poor low class business. Emailed Marcus and what a joke that is. After purchasing RV we had to return RV in 6 months account nose faded out. Took it back to them to fix and they only painted half of it. When I went to get it and entered parking lot she was setting there and I noticed right off when I looked at nose how *** it looked. Come to find out they had billed Keystone for a complete painting. Had a slide-out making the awful noise like metal on metal. Took it to CW of Raleigh and while on a trip out west we took it to Las Vegas C/W. Neither one fixed the problem. I finally found a mobile RV tech who help me fix it. Had to slice under belly open to get to rails of RV and grease the rails and it fixed the problem. Guess the techs at C/W were just to darn lazy to get on there backs and do the right thing. They have a bad problem and it will never get fixed till somebody wakes the *** up. This has been going on for years.

Camping World - Terrible - left out to dry... so upset our experience has been so bad - we were so excited and they ruined it

1.0
Details
I will cut a long story short...... The inspection of the camper was fine and we were excited. They were very attentive until we signed on the finance papers..............and OH.........signed the 'take camper as is" document............. now I know why.... The awning was out for us at the inspection and we went up and looked at the roof and awning looked fine. The dealer helped us put the awning in. When we go to the campsite and opened it back up the awning top layer of plastic is separating and started flaking off in pieces as big as 6-10 inches long. totally perished. They also advertised the van as a 7065lbs. I only looked at vans under 7200 as we can tow 8200..... well after a scarey and difficult towing experience this weekend, we spent time looking on line had how to resolve...............then realized the biggest problem was the fact that the camper is 9,300lbs. We had our kids in the pickup towing this camper with our contents it must be over 10,000lbs...................... they also advertised the van as a 2008 but it is a 2007! Their false advertising risked our lives........... How dare they!
