Camping World in Calera, Alabama - Post Sell inspection not done

2.6
Details
I am curious if anyone can help me with Calera alabama Camping World Service. Appears they do not want to do warranty work. What company will do it? They sold us the camper, saying they did a 3 hour inspection of all the systems. When i got to site the battery was nearly dead after several hours. I found out by noticing the center leveling legs did not extend. The camper died while plugged into shore power cause the 12 volt charger converter was dead and not providing any power. Then found the washer dryer not working. The microwave missing the spinner cogg. They have had the Camper for 3 weeks. I have not argued with them even thought they have sent some very unintelligent Responses. The first response was a bill for 4 grand to replace all the stuff. I Gave Johnathan Gray and Taylor Neal all our warranty info and they still did not have a bran to go to the extended warranty. I told them don't give me that that needs to got to the warranty folks. Oh do you have and extended warranty ???? " second unintelligent resonance. " We Purchased it there and I had already filed it with service. sent it again....! and the response was " Oh we will diagnose what was damaged by it being connected to 220 VAC Third unintelligent comment. So I sent them a break down of how to test shore power with a meter and they will realize that shore power is 220vac. Problem these guys are playing The Flintstones with my Camper. Totally no response to any of that. and no response in two days. I told them I will be picking it up Friday, done or not. Clearly I told them the converter is bad and never worked the second the camper left the Dealer ship. I am an E Engineer so Stuff I do know. I live with a Fluke meter as a best friend. Seriously!?!!! Camping World in Woodstock, Georgia - Terrible Service

2.5
Details
This is a warning to anyone who is thinking about buying anything from Camping World in Woodstock. Don't Do It! ! They love to get your money for the purchase, but absolutely do the very worst in providing service, even mediocre customer service would be a 1000% increase in the quality of customer service for them. We bought a new camper in August of 2016, the Electric Hot Water Heater did not work, we were told that they could not fit it in until January 2017. They kept it for over a month before they got "Approval" to fix it from the Manufacture (Heartland) and then it was another 3 weeks before they "fixed" it. While fixing it, the service department or someone at Camping World Woodstock damaged the door lock, killed the battery on the camper and then damaged my truck "Testing" the battery on the camper. They made no offer to repair the blown fuse(s) on my truck and told me that I could get a new fuse on my own at an auto parts store. They made no attempt to get a fuse for us and no reimbursement for the fuse was ever made. The damaged door lock required that we had to make another 50 mile trip (each way) to get it repaired. When the power awning failed (Before the expiration of the warranty), they pushed it back to the Manufactures of the components, who both refused to repair it, saying that it was our fault it failed. CW basically said we were on our own and that they would be glad to "Sell" us a new awning. They sold us the camper, not individual components and they should stand by the product they sold us.

Don't worry about it, there are plenty of other RV's out there and you can probably get a MUCH MUCH better deal at a Mom camping world dealership.

Camping World in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - Screwed out of money

Have to replace roof and wall because the told our insurance company it was poor maintence. Roof was resealed every 6 months had not water damage until they replace a $700 seal they said I needed and lost about an equal amount of money in camping equipment in highway 17 which by the way they did not stop to try and pick it up. I was told it was not their responsibility. We did not use it until 5 months later. The slide would not go in. I contacted them in June when we used it the 2nd time and told them we would be there for 3 weeks. Didn't come get it until August. He said if it was something they did they would fix it. I told him that somehow I knew they wouldn't own up to it. Here I am with a 10 year old camper that's been maintained. Not by them that's why they said it was poor maintence. We did have a camper service with in the campground where we stored that sealed it every fall and spring since we had. Yes a lot can happen in a year but but we hadn't moved or used it since they brought it back for 5 months. You tell me how that much damage got done from October- March. We were told 2 different stories from 2 different people. I would buy, sell, trade or have any maintence work done by them unless you want to get taken advantage of because you depended on them. What's even worse the camper was bought from them.

Camping World - Worst experience in my life. NEVER AGAIN!!!
Will never purchase another item from Camping World again in my life. They have lied to me and are not true to their word. Their employees tore my canvas as they were pulling it out the showroom floor. Was told that this was fixed as good as new when in fact it leaked the first time it rained. Now we are living in a leaking camper due to hurricane Irma. Lorne Edwards and Tyler Hewett should not be in charge of anything. If you do not want horrible experience, there are many other camper businesses to choose from than Camping World.

Have you gone back asking them to take care of the leak? Complaining here won't get the leak fixed.

@Anonymous

Of course I went back to Camping World and they told me it’s not their problem. I am writing this in hopes to save someone from making a huge mistake buying anything from Camping World.

Camping World in Panama City, Florida - Purchased motor home in July 2017 it is now October 2017, no repairs made, unable to use .

1.0
Details
On July 22, 2017, we purchased a 2008 Winnebago Tour from Camping World in Panama City, FL. We were told there was nothing wrong with the unit and it was ready to go. After waiting three days, we went back for delivery. A young man was to give us a walk thru of how to operate the RV. After two hours of pointing out its features he was unable to tell us how certain features worked. He explained he was not familiar with Winnebago. I specifically asked about certain items that did not work or he did not show us and he would only reply he wasn't sure. By now we were way passed their closing time and decided to go home with the unit as it was getting late. We were assured if there were any issues Camping World would take care of the issues. On the way home with the coach in operation i noticed several things didn't work. The right side camera didn't work at all and the left side was blurred. The house AC was not cooling properly (had asked about this problem repeatedly and was told because it was a bog unit it would take a few hours to cool down). The dash air did not work at all, while at the dealer asked about the operation of it and was blown off by the "delivery" guy saying he didn't know how to operate it. I also discovered that the hydraulic leveling system was not functioning properly and one of the awnings was not working. I had asked the delivery guy about the leveling system to which he replied we didnt need to use it because most camping spots were level. After driving the unit home on Thursday I called Friday morning and talked to the manager, I told him there were things wrong with the unit. He said he knew about some things but these problems were not conveyed to me. Therefore i took the unit back to the dealership that very morning Friday. The manager asked me to let them wait until the extended warranty kicked in, and they would repair everything, I told him NO, I wanted the unit fixed. He promised me face to face it would be taken care of. He said he would contact the previous owner and ask them to pay for the repairs. After waiting two more weeks and not hearing anything I called back, and the manager said he was going to get it fixed. I called back a few days later and he said it was ready to picked up that the house air and dash air were repaired and they would repair the other issues later. I picked up the unit only to discover it was not repaired so I took it back and it still there no repairs have been made as of Oct. 1st 2017.
