Never go to Camping World to buy anything

I wanted to trade in a Travel Trailer and purchase a new one. I drove 3 hours to the lot that had the one I wanted. I knew I was upside down on the trade in. The listed price had the "ask for best price" listing. Some how after the 3 hour drive the price went up $10,000. So a 3 hour drive home and no trailer. After dealing with other companies and dealerships, I reluctantly talked to Camping World again. A reasonable deal was made and I dragged my trailer the 3 hours up there. Oh wait, the new trailer was not ready to go. 4 hours later and some rigging on the lock to shut the outside kitchen door, along with the surprise $150 charge to change over sway bars, I was back on the road. An inspection was done and numerous issues were found and not corrected at the dealership. I spoke with customer service and gave the young lady who was very polite an earful. She did help me locate a shop to get all the warranty work done. I will never buy a trailer not will I recommend anyone to go to Camping World. But I will use the gift card they gave me for their store.

I purchased a 2014 motor home from Camping world of Lakewood Nj July 29 2017, well let me begin, The first thing I will start with is I was charged $2995.00 for paint protection I did not agree to, I purchased a extended warranty for $ 4995.00 and was told that I would never pay more then $50 .00 for any repair when I read the contract it said it was $ 100.00 dollars not $50.00. Then I asked for a refund on the paint protection, Frank Davis the General Manager said a check would be issued to the bank. well that never happened he said it must have been lost in the mail, so another check was issued to the bank on Sept 29th 2017 well on Saturday Oct, 7th 2017 I recieved a letter from the bank that the check bounced and my name was put in collections. I called Frank Davis , and he never returned my call which he never does. I called corporate Headquarters and was told they would get back to me, this needs to be resolved today Monday Oct, 9th 2017 , I will take a copy of the check and the letter from the bank to the Sheriffs Dept. and file a formal complaint about Fraud. I await your response.

Same thing happened to me. We bought a fifth wheel for $20,000 by the time we got out of there it had got up to 32,000 with all there little add one I didn't agree to.

Oh and they added on a balloon payment of 25,000 after 6 years we were never told about. Nice guys

Good Sam's and Camping WoMy husband and I purchased a High Montana High Country 2018 on August 18 from Camping World in Statesville, North Carolina. We recently retired; he retired from law enforcement and I retired from teaching in the public school system. Buying this 5th wheel was our dream to explore this amazing nation. Needless to say, our retirement income, based on our service careers is not lavish, to say the least. But, we developed a frugal financial plan to purchase your rv to fulfill our retirement dream. From day 1, we have dealt with manufacturing defects and poor service after the sell. Literally, we are victims of a financial scam. We were enticed by a product that was fully endorsed by Keystone, Camping World and Good Sam's membership and benefits. We had utmost confidence during the sale/purchase process. That confidence quickly declined to panic with the ominous devastating financial loss in purchasing a inferior product with a costly price tag. The rv that was sold in good faith to us, backed by Keystone, Camping World, and Good Sam's has brought us nothing but anxiety and utter inconvenience for warranty service. We realize that in mass production, some products do slip through production regardless of quality control measures. We've been told that despite the numerous mechanical defects and many other flaws in craftsmanship, the service department will correct all flaws and defects. My question to you is, how can we ever feel confident in the purchase of your product when it literally began falling to pieces immediately after driving it off the lot? I urge you to do the "right thing" and stand behind your commitment of quality and service to your customers by compensating for our purchase of your inferior product. We are honest, hard working people who would never expect "something for nothing". In fact, we are proud to say we have worked for everything we have throughout our entire lives. This is all we ask of your company, we are not perfect, but be proud and honor your customers' financial loss when the quality of your product fails to meet the high standards expected by both manufacturer and buyer. We bought a 2018 High Country fifth wheel Aug. 18, 2017 and it needed work done before we could even drive it off the lot. Since then, we have had Nothing but major mechanical defects among other numerous flaws in poor craftsmanship. The service dept, will not communicate with us and the right hand does not what the left hand is doing. Warranty work is a JOKE! We we told it could take up to a month or more to get necessary warranty parts delivered. The technicians do are inequate in completing warranty work. Save your money!! If a company endorses an inferior product and does not offer assistance to stand behind their endorsement, membership means Nothing.

This last time they had my TT for 3 months. I went to pick up and a few items were still noy done as usual. Very unhappy with them and they don't seem concerned when these things are brought to their attention. I have called Corporate 3 times and the regional manager doesn't have the balls to call back as they always claim he will.

Camping World in Syracuse, New York - Dissappointed!

After ordering a Thor ACE RV from camping world, we were happy to get the call that it was in! We scheduled an appointment and took the 4 hour ride in a rental car, to pick it up in Syracuse NY. Upon inspection, we realized that the RV was not the one we ordered. We were very dissappointed to say the least. After an hour of waiting to hear whether or not there was another one in the lot, we were told a vehicle was found, if we were willing to accept a few minor changes. We looked and agreed to take the one on the lot. While we waited two more hours for the the service department to tighten up a few things, we were them told that the magnets that hold the bed up were not installed. Camping World wanted us to take the vehicle, drive it home which is four hours away. Then, drive the vehicle another two hours away to the nearest service department to have the minor repairs done. We declined knowing this was not at all possible. By now, we are stranded in Syracuse NY with no car and no flights to be found! We were able to rent a room in the area. We still aren’t sure whether or not we will get home tomorrow. Needless to say we canceled the deal. We will not be dealing with Camping World again. We should have paid much closer attention to the horrendous reviews posted all over the internet regarding their terrible product as well as service. Hoping to find out way home to NJ before Christmas.

Dropped my trailer off in May of 2017. That was the biggest mistake possible, nothing was done on my trailer until after I complained in July. I was out of the country at the time. Parts had not been ordered an installed even after I paid for everything in May. I final said forget it just give me my trailer back only to find out they wrecked it. The little work they did was a joke a two year old could have done a better job! They lie to you just to get you off the phone. Never deal with Beth in the service department lies daily from telling me something is fixed and it looks nice but they never touched it at all. Just save yourself all of the headaches and time go elsewhere and wait for this business to go belly up. Maybe the president of camping world will just clean house and start over that would be the only hope for this location. And when my trailer was delivered to my wife there was even more damage done. Just say no to Camping world and the *** service.

I ordered 35 battery powered fans to send to Puerto Rico with my church group to help after the devistation of hurricane Maria on the island. I get a call from the company first asking if i was reselling them which i wasn't and it was none of their business anyways what i ordered them for, and secondly they stated i could still have the fans but i would have to pay an extra $9 per fan for them to ship them to me in Florida. Nothing like taking advantage of people in a desperate situation.

I would loss battery power in half of a day after they were fully charged. Took the trailer back to camping world and was told to bad we don't carry that brand anymore.

2007 Winnebago Vista purchased August 2017 at camping world north Little Rock ark. Bad jacks and they knew about problem beforehand but did not tell us about. Slide out dry and dirty, cracked rear view mirror casing, crack in roof and coach just filthy. 1). Tried to talk with Derrick Bill general Manager but was told by Dustin Works our sales person that if it concerned service he was just too busy to talk with us. 2). Has to wait for extended warranty to go into effect before they would work on jacks which we had problems with within 30 minutes after leaving their lot. We were told by BILL in finance to take it somewhere else and have fixed and this after talking with NATHAN in service. 3) previous owner slide out was worked on by camping world but the arms dry and very very filthy. 4). Vacumned floor and filled reservoir to top with sand. Yet they state they cleaned the coach 5). Roof was Mildred’s and had some mold. When cleaned found crack in roof. We were told this coach was in excellent shape just old. 6) both me wife and I have fallen because we could balance coach until jack fixed so we can level. 7) Dustin Works stated all points of inspection passed. Wondering what they inspected! 8). Cannot receive TV signal. Told it was just poor reception so we bought another antenna. Still no signal. Technician states he don’t know much about TV and that area to fix. 9). Every time we cleaned stirred up more ants and other critters that we spent time getting rid of. Yet camping world states they cleaned. 10). When we went to get tags found two of our trade in’s were not listed and no where to be found in contract. This is a big problem. They say this is done all the time. 11). They hang up on you, put you on hold just to come back later stating they are too busy or with another customer and absolutely will never return your call. 12). Camping world lied to me and me wife not once but several times. 13) they like your money but don’t want to work on anything difficult. They only want easy stuff and charge you out the yahoo and then can manage to *** those up. Case in point. Just screwing a water regulator in is an issue as it has leaked since. 14). I find camping world very unethical in their practices to say the least. DO NOT TAKE TO CAMPING WORLD FOR SERVICE. DO NOT BUY FROM CAMPING WORLD. They are scam artists at BEST.

I have always had the best of luck with Custom RV Services. They are fast, friendly and honest. Try contacting them for future repairs.

They had an awesome General Manager (Hans MacLennan) who left the company last year. He would've taken care of your problem right away.

The whole place is full of crooks and always check your paper work when in finance,especially look at all charges, there is illegal activity going on. Derek Dill is just an over rated sales person !

We bought a new RV Winnebago. It leaks . I told Mat Clark I had an auto immune desease and mold would not be good for my health and if they couldn't get rid of the mold we wanted a different RV. He laughed !!!! I'm sorry maybe my health doesn't mean anything to him but it does to me!!! We bought this RV in August 2017!!! Took it out once!!! I think you need to do something about this !!!
