Camping World in Hamburg, New York - They just suck period!

They lie to your face, are deceptful, dishonest and simple a l *** poor company to deal with. Don't return calls, emails or text. Don't honor contracts. Replace parts only on paper. Parts never actually replaced. Keep your unit for weeks on end waiting for parts they never actually replace or intend to replace. Damage your unit while on their property and make you responsible to file an insurance claim for repairs. Never have i ever had to deal with such deceptful people in business. Good Sam ESP plan only good to wipe you *** with. Be warned. Stay clear.

Camping World - Poor overall workmanship and reliability

Details
Since I purchased this RV from Camping World in Jacksonville, FL. I have had issues with it. On the trip home I lost all running lights on the trailer. So a few days later it went back for a fix. Told it was done. Had to evacuate for Hurricane Mathew, and once again I lose running lights. So back it goes again, this time they have it for 12 days. I am active duty Navy, so when I go to use the trailer again, I hit another rain storm, 4 hours from home and it happens again. SO Camping world takes the trailer apart to find numerous cut wires, exposed wires, and crimped wires between the floor and frame. Now I have a trailer the was almost completely torn down an put back together. Next issue is a leak from the hoses under the rear bunk house. I find the leak in the fresh water line and notice that there are eaten Sunflower seeds shells in the cabinetry under the sink, *** punched through the wall in the same area and metal shavings all over the place. I took pictures and will be sending them to the company. I am not impressed with this rig and feel nervous about using it with regards to over all safety.

We had a very enjoyable situation at Camping World

Details
We bought a 2018 Jayco Eagle. The salesman, Ron Nielsen, helped us with every problem and we had a few (no fault of Camping World) We even had to drive over 100 miles to get the hard cover off of our truck to get the 5th wheel hitch attached to the truck bed. It is a very heavy cover and we are both in our later 70's and the service dept. at Wood Village had 2 employees from a Camping World closer to us come and help my husband get the lid off. Ron solved every problem we came up against. Casey Abbott in the finance dept.was also helpful and understanding. We had locked our credit down because of the problem with Equifax being hacked and it took awhile to get it unlocked bur he was very patient . Jon Stone parts manager was also a great help. It was raining the entire time we were there and they parked our trailers door to door under a covered breeze way while we transfer our things. There were a few small items that needed attention and the fixed them right away. Our entire experience at Camping World in Wood Village was great. THANKS TO EVERY ONE THERE. Sincerely, Erik and Kay Erikson

Camping World - I felt ripped off, really. Money hunger BAS----.
Brought a brand new fifth wheel, with 7 year warranty. Leaked from day 1, do you think they would fix it *** no, than when my interior lights go out, they charge me too fix them, knowing the leak caused it, I asked if I could go on top of my camper with them to see the problem, no cant do that so they will take a picture and show it to me, kept insisting let them fix it after I've paid them 1100.00 dollars to seal it and fix it. wanted another 300.00, I told them no I'm going to get a professional. the picture they showed me looked like putty was cracking, i told them there is no way my camper leaked that much with a few cracks in the seal. Hired a private RV repair man, he could not believe his eyes, a bevel in the rubber roof, and looks like a kindergartner, spreed mud all on the seal, not at all the picture they showed me.

Camping World in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - Not calling me back. I have called twice.

I cannot at this time explain my issue openly. I am asking Camping world gets back with me. I have called twice and Camping world is not taking this seriously. I did explain to Glen, the rep that answer the phone. Glen advised me a team would get back with me asap. No one has contacted me. I do not at this time want to talk with anyone in ref. to my situation unless they are upper management. This matter pertains to more that one camping world employee lying and stealing. Trying to cover up a mistake that was made and damage caused by camping world.

Camping World in Byron, Georgia - Bad Service and management could care less

1.8
Details
When we started coming here 3 years ago to have our RV's serviced we thought Camping World in Byron GA was great. Unfortunately now we would tell you to go anywhere but here for your service. In the last 6 months we've had to return 6 different times because they didn't correctly repair the item. It's a 3 hour round trip for us. We spoke to the service manager who basically did nothing. Left two messages for the General Manager and he NEVER called. They had management changes a while back and it seems as if they weren't for the better, at least not where the customer is concerned. So instead of singing their praises, which is what we used to do, we now send people someplace else. The one shining light is Andy, our service writer. We believe he actually cares about our concerns but can only do so much.

Camping World in Syracuse, New York - Follow up to earlier post

A further follow up: When we ordered the motorhome at the show in Hershey PA, we were told it would be eight weeks because of the colors that we wanted on the inside and the outside, However if they were able to find one sooner they would let us know. They did find one within two weeks that they said was “just rolling off the assembly line now”. It could be delivered and we could pick it up in Syracuse. Two days before we were scheduled to come up to Syracuse to pick it up, our sales person texted me to tell me that the unit was not there and wouldn’t be there for a couple more days. They delivered it to Harrisburg PA. We had made several arrangements to be able to go to Syracuse the day stated so we pushed back and the salesman agreed that he would go down to Harrisburg and bring the unit back himself. The Thor ACE 30.4 we ordered from them at the show in Hershey PA had two air-conditioners and a 5500 watt generator with a 50 amp service hook up. First stop we made on the walk-through was to the electric hook up to the motorhome. Technician said “here’s your 30 amp hook up“. That is when we questioned if this was the correct motorhome. Of course, they said it was an oversight! We even had a text from the salesman the same weekend of the show telling us it was a 50 amp service because of two air-conditioners. Ironically we found out later from someone who works there that this was the third time that had happened that day alone! Anyone would think this was a regular practice for them to try to get over on customers! We held firm and said we were not going to take that motorhome. Question: Did the salesman actually drive it all the way back up from Harrisburg and not notice it wasn’t equipt with what we ordered?? By the way it had 1700 miles on it. Indiana to Harrisburg to Syracuse???? They brought another one around that was on the lot that had some minor changes to the colors we requested but we were OK with that. We went through the motorhome with a fine tooth comb looking for anything that needed to be fixed before we signed and pulled it off the lot. Two major issues we had were the electromagnetic system holding up the above cab bunk we’re missing and the rear camera was not working. We were assured those and any other issues we had would be rectified before we took the motorhome off the lot. After a couple of hours one of the people from the sales team told us they would not be able to put the electromagnets in. We would have to bring it home and then bring it to another service department two hours away to have that fixed. Why would anyone take $85,000 motorhome off the dealers lot knowing they had to bring it somewhere else to get something fixed?? We later found out that the rear camera wasn’t working either and we would have to do the same with that! Again, who would except delivery of a motorhome that has to be brought back to another dealer to be fixed… Especially with all the horror stories of how the dealers hold them for weeks and weeks and weeks fixing them. Needless to say, that’s when we said we wanted out of the deal and our deposit back. We called the dealership the following day on our way home and spoke to someone in the finance department who said they would refund the deposit back to our bank as soon as possible. We’ve heard nothing since then. No, not even a phone call from our salesman… Not a call from the head of the sales department who we worked with as well… No one! Crickets!!! It would appear that they regularly use a tactic of bait and switch, as well as expecting customers buying a brand new motorhome from them to bring it to another dealership to get it fixed. All in I believe we spent upwards of $900 that weekend in a failed attempt to buy a brand new motor home from Camping World I will say this… Everyone there was very very pleasant. Of course in hindsight they would be when they’re trying to rip you off. Beware if you’re buying anything from Camping World.

Never go to Camping World to buy anything

I wanted to trade in a Travel Trailer and purchase a new one. I drove 3 hours to the lot that had the one I wanted. I knew I was upside down on the trade in. The listed price had the "ask for best price" listing. Some how after the 3 hour drive the price went up $10,000. So a 3 hour drive home and no trailer. After dealing with other companies and dealerships, I reluctantly talked to Camping World again. A reasonable deal was made and I dragged my trailer the 3 hours up there. Oh wait, the new trailer was not ready to go. 4 hours later and some rigging on the lock to shut the outside kitchen door, along with the surprise $150 charge to change over sway bars, I was back on the road. An inspection was done and numerous issues were found and not corrected at the dealership. I spoke with customer service and gave the young lady who was very polite an earful. She did help me locate a shop to get all the warranty work done. I will never buy a trailer not will I recommend anyone to go to Camping World. But I will use the gift card they gave me for their store.

Don't Purchase anything from Camping World

I purchased a 2014 motor home from Camping world of Lakewood Nj July 29 2017, well let me begin, The first thing I will start with is I was charged $2995.00 for paint protection I did not agree to, I purchased a extended warranty for $ 4995.00 and was told that I would never pay more then $50 .00 for any repair when I read the contract it said it was $ 100.00 dollars not $50.00. Then I asked for a refund on the paint protection, Frank Davis the General Manager said a check would be issued to the bank. well that never happened he said it must have been lost in the mail, so another check was issued to the bank on Sept 29th 2017 well on Saturday Oct, 7th 2017 I recieved a letter from the bank that the check bounced and my name was put in collections. I called Frank Davis , and he never returned my call which he never does. I called corporate Headquarters and was told they would get back to me, this needs to be resolved today Monday Oct, 9th 2017 , I will take a copy of the check and the letter from the bank to the Sheriffs Dept. and file a formal complaint about Fraud. I await your response.

Good Sam's:and Camping World Poor Service Dept.

1.3
Details
Good Sam's and Camping WoMy husband and I purchased a High Montana High Country 2018 on August 18 from Camping World in Statesville, North Carolina. We recently retired; he retired from law enforcement and I retired from teaching in the public school system. Buying this 5th wheel was our dream to explore this amazing nation. Needless to say, our retirement income, based on our service careers is not lavish, to say the least. But, we developed a frugal financial plan to purchase your rv to fulfill our retirement dream. From day 1, we have dealt with manufacturing defects and poor service after the sell. Literally, we are victims of a financial scam. We were enticed by a product that was fully endorsed by Keystone, Camping World and Good Sam's membership and benefits. We had utmost confidence during the sale/purchase process. That confidence quickly declined to panic with the ominous devastating financial loss in purchasing a inferior product with a costly price tag. The rv that was sold in good faith to us, backed by Keystone, Camping World, and Good Sam's has brought us nothing but anxiety and utter inconvenience for warranty service. We realize that in mass production, some products do slip through production regardless of quality control measures. We've been told that despite the numerous mechanical defects and many other flaws in craftsmanship, the service department will correct all flaws and defects. My question to you is, how can we ever feel confident in the purchase of your product when it literally began falling to pieces immediately after driving it off the lot? I urge you to do the "right thing" and stand behind your commitment of quality and service to your customers by compensating for our purchase of your inferior product. We are honest, hard working people who would never expect "something for nothing". In fact, we are proud to say we have worked for everything we have throughout our entire lives. This is all we ask of your company, we are not perfect, but be proud and honor your customers' financial loss when the quality of your product fails to meet the high standards expected by both manufacturer and buyer. Please contact me to further discuss our situation. Sincerely, Regina Bowden (318)419-6067rld endorses Keystone High Country and entices costumers with all of these great benefits and service after the sale. We bought a 2018 High Country fifth wheel Aug. 18, 2017 and it needed work done before we could even drive it off the lot. Since then, we have had Nothing but major mechanical defects among other numerous flaws in poor craftsmanship. The service dept, will not communicate with us and the right hand does not what the left hand is doing. Warranty work is a JOKE! We we told it could take up to a month or more to get necessary warranty parts delivered. The technicians do are inequate in completing warranty work. Save your money!! If a company endorses an inferior product and does not offer assistance to stand behind their endorsement, membership means Nothing.
