Camping World in Golden, Colorado - TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

We purchased a second hand rv. Needed all the bells and wistles to go with it. We had a 2 page list of items to buy.Could not get anyone to help us. 2 people in service on computers. We stood at the counter awhile never said a word to us. So we left. Complained at the cashier center, never got I'm sorry let me get a manager....just laughed. I put the few items in my basket back and left the store. However there was 3 sales people standing at the font door to sell us and RV. This was the Golden store. Will never go back. We drove to Walmart spent $350.00 found most the items we needed there and half the price. You can't treat customers that way. To much compition. Have not had this kind of bad service in a long time. Camping World is GREAT, at STEALING and DISHONESTY

New 2018 in July 2017. Didn't want junk insurance, had a pre authorized interest rate. RV came in and it had problems. Told they wouldn't even attempt to fix the issues until we purchased the RV, can't do warranty work on a un-sold unit. Signed the papers on July 18, was actually able to take delivery on August 28th. Took 1 8day trip and returned with a list of 17 items that needed fixing. Back into Camping World on Sept. 25th and its still there, awaiting parts, or that's what I keep being told. Caught the finance manager in several lies, actually recorded our conversations on my cell phone. After 4 months of anguish I was finally able to get Camping World, Draper Ut. to refund some of my money. I'm trying to get enough disgruntled Camping World customers who would like to create a "Class Action Law Suit" against Camping World. If you have a legitimate cause please email me: boshon1@yahoo.com. I will respond and if we can get enough people we can and will force Camping World into having to deal with us.

I bought the Good Sam extended warranty from Camping World on my 2016 Hideout. While driving to camp in Sep 17 I noticed my suspension was popping badly going strait down the road over every little bump. Upon getting to the campground it was constantly popping driving slowly over gravel in the campground. I listened and it was coming from the suspension. I took my TT to Camping World Burlington to pay the lower deductible. First of all it is nearly impossible to reach a maintenance consultant and when you finally do they act like they are so busy and that you are inconveniencing them by calling. On the third week the consultant went on vacation. On the 4th week he was out sick. I demanded to speak to someone else. I had to explain everything over to new person. Finally after a month I get a call back saying they can’t find anything wrong except that the TT showed signs of overload(even though I’ve never had close to 2000 lbs in there) but that it would be $1100 to make the popping go away. So I have a two year old trailer that I am now going to have to replace all of the bushing and suspension bolts myself along with potentially the leaf springs even though I have a warranty. The sales department was shady and the Maint Dept is abysmal. Never go to Camping World for anything. I didn’t head the warning and now regret it!!

Yes I agree with both.

So I get into the dealership and speak to the service manager Jim who says I owe them $120 for troubleshooting. After a 45 min discussion he was nice and dropped the charges but he openly admitted that it is normal to spend several thousand in repairs per year on newer rigs after the warranty runs out.

He also admitted that the service contracts will usually only pay when parts catastrophically fail, not because they are wearing out. If RV owners waited for things to catastrophically fail we would likely wreck our rig or cause harm to someone else’s.

Warranty in hand, the reality is I am left with buying my own wet bolt and bushing kit unless I am willing to risk catastrophic failure. I probably won’t be buying an RV again.

You actually have two issues, the first is the horrible customer service at Camping World. The other is how poorly RV's are manufactured.

We both would love to buy an RV, but can't seem to find one in our price range that is well built.

What a truly bad experience.....Bought a new Forest River Flagstaff on 03/31/2017 at Camping World in Bartow, Florida. Was in IL two days later. The temp dropped to 26 degrees and the heater quit. Spent a total of 9 hours of our vacation at service centers with no corrections to the problem. The oven has never worked, the top bunk has dropped/came loose from the wall, the pocket door is stuck between the walls, the slide out in the main bedroom has no bottom seal, my counter extender broke off, the whole house stereo just comes on on its own. The worst was when the black tank dropped out of the bottom of the camper. Thank GOD it was sitting on a lot site. It took 4 months to get that repaired and the whole time we smelled the sewage waste and it dripped out of the unit. Now I am trying to get them to replace the POS unit we bought and the are offering me 1/2 of what we paid. Marcus Lemonis needs to step up and help us with this issue.

Don't you just love how they pitch it that if you buy from camping world all of the other locations are there to help you out. WELL, THEY ARE NOT, THEY DON'T GIVE A &^%$#@)( ABOUT YOU AND JUST WANT YOU TO GO THE %$#@ AWAY.

CAMPING WORLD IS A TOTAL RIPOFF, STAY AWAY.

I have been please with camping world as a supplier of STUFF. I am very displeased, *** is the word. They have had my motor home for 5 months with excuse after excuse. Wrong parts, waiting for parts yadah yadah yadah. It has now been in the body shop for a month and there was very little actual body work required. Camping season for my wife and I is over for this year due to schedules... I am a very unhappy camper over this situation.

Camping World - Champion Generator wheel kit

Ordered a wheel kit for an older 4000 watt Champion generator. I received a different part # than what I ordered. I called customer service and explained. The girl gave me the # to the technical support group since she couldn't connect me. I called the # and the employee said that she wasn't technical support and that she only did special orders. Since I was unable to get any answers, I just decided to cancel my order. After talking to customer service again, they will call me in 1-3 business days to begin processing my return and refund. I am blown away at the lack of customer service and ability to find anyone with any knowledge or even ability to steer me in the right direction. All I wanted was the part # I ordered. I will never order again from camping world and will communicate my experience to other fellow RV owners.

Stay Away From Camping World

I purchased a 2011 Open Range Roamer from Richmond, IN Camping World in November 2015. I paid the extra fees for them to clean the camper, never happened. I got the camper home and had to clean it myself, found tons of water bugs once we warmed the camper up to clean it, had to bomb the camper 3 times to kill them so I could clean it. Called, left messages and never could get the Camping World Manager to call me back. Fast forward, we went to use the camper in May 2016 and found they had never checked the systems out either has paid for, I had to pay a different repair service to fix the water heater connections as well as other issues that happened from the hot water leak. As of November 2016 the unit needed some repair, we called Nashville Camping World, they were at least kind enough to let us know they did not have the room or time to get us in. March 2017 we purchased a home in Gulfport, MS and called Biloxi Camping World for repairs. I brought the unit in the last week of April 2017, as of May 2017 had not heard from them since we dropped the camper off, I called and was told by George the service manager he was glad I had called they had no idea whose camper that was. I was told great they could get started on repairs. June 2017 they had received the check from State Farm for repairs, received my ok for repairs as well as some repairs I was willing to pay for, only problem they never tarped or covered my unit in any way when I dropped it off, it was dropped off for a leak as well as their technician found a leak. In July I was told it was my problem, I needed to supply the tarps and bungie straps for covering the unit, never was told this at drop off. George ended up telling me, I am disabled as well as my daughter, that it was my job to tarp the unit and if we fell off the top oh well my problem also, they are not responsible for our welfare or the units. My daughter went to Rob, the stores general manager, who did come out and tell George that service would have to tarp the unit. In August 2017 I called the vendor for the parts for my unit to find out that Camping World had never ordered the parts, yet George kept arguing with me it was my fault and the vendors fault for slow processing. Finally the parts were ordered, yet Camping World still says they have no fault in the further water damage, mold and 6 months of them still having my unit with no repair. I have called my attorney now and am trying to make them at least buy the unit back for pay off on the loan. Run do not walk away from any Camping World Purchase you think you might want or repair. I am an Elite Sams Club member and that meant nothing. All you are as a consumer is a dollar sign not a valued customer, do not let them fool you

You are so right, have talked to people who have campers for repair, just parts or service at other locations and everyone has the same response, not one person no matter where you go has a kind comment.

I order a item from them . Sent a email asking why item has not ship they said they would get back with me never did. Sent second email still no answer. So call them first person hung up after 20 min on phone second person I call said they would get wright back with me but never did . Third person says no PO was written to company supplying part would be two more weeks. Making it four weeks now. So I hung up on him then he call me back and said that they didn't need my business because I hung up on him. Do order from them.
