Camping World - Unprofessionalism at it's finest!!!

Been trying since April 2017 to get my camper fixed since it was not this way when we bought it at an RV Show. First, they screwed up our paperwork and never sent it in. Then a month and 1/2 later we had to sign all new paperwork since they had to get another lender because of not sending in the original paperwork At that time the GM of Wauconda store started TEXTING me threatening texts for THEIR mistake. Then that idiot quit and I could not get a return call from anyone including an acting GM!!! Finally spoke with someone in parts (Matt Kramer) on June 2,2017 and sent him pics of all the issues that I sent the GM who quit and did nothing. He said he would take care of it. I sent numerous emails and called repeatedly with NO call back! On 10/24/17 Spoke to Matt again and he admitted to doing NOTHING and not filing the claim. Also said he would call me to let me know that it was submitted. It is now 11/3/17 and I talked to someone in parts because apparently you can not talk to anyone in the warranty department according to this guy. They never asked my name, but because of caller ID they knew who I was. This guy said that the claim is pending but them came back and said he couldn't use the computer to give me a claim # and that he saw my name on their work board! I asked how he knew it was pending if he didn't actually see ANYTHING in the computer!!! I am now seeking help from the news stations and then an attorney!!! Everyone at this store needs to be fired as they aren't fit to tie a shoe let alone help a customer!!!

If they had to get a new bank it sounds like your credit is the problem. Manufacturers are not going to approve warranty claims based on pictures a customer took.

You went to a show because you thought you could save money instead of dealing with your local camping center that would "rip you off" by making a fair profit.

How did it work out for you? Not so good I guess.

Camping World - Won't go back

We were shopping for a new 5th wheel in Mesquite, Texas. Didn't realize the place had changed from Nichols RV to Camping World until we were inside. We asked if their store was affiliated with the Camping World store in Denton, Texas. When told that it was, we asked if they were aware that the C.E.O of their company had made a public statement, saying that Trump voters were not welcome in his stores. We were given the run-around and told some obvious untruths about his policies. Once past that unpleasant episode, we shared some of the problems we were having with our trade-in and were told they couldn't help us. We went up the road to Holiday world and purchased a really nice 5th wheel. It was a pleasant sales experience. We will never visit Camping World again.

Unsatisfied customer with Camping World

I ordered an awning on October 10, 2017, from Camping World in Golden Colorado. At that time I was told they would have to order the awning and set my installation appointment for November 27. I am an Good Sams Elite Member and thought that was pretty good as I leave to go south for the winter at the end of December. I received a call a couple of weeks ago to confirm the appointment and that the awning had arrive. Today November 2nd I received a call that I would have to be rescheduled. I said okay when would that be. He said it would have to after the 1st of the year. I told him I would not be here and needed something before the first of the year. He said do you want to reschedule the appointment for after the 1st of the year. I said impossible as I will not be here. He said do you want to cancel your order or schedule after the 1st of the year. I told him how many time do I have to tell you that I will not be here. He said do you want to cancel and I said yes. Going in to see the Manager tomorrow. The Fire Marshal said they had to clear out some inventory before they could service anymore customers. My advice is to "move the excess inventory to another lot to make room to service their customers" or "if you cannot service your customers you had better stop selling". You are going to lose those customers and that will come back and bite them. They will no longer have an inventory to worry about!!!!! I had heard they were hard to schedule with so plan for plenty of time. I thought I did. Going in three months in advance and then getting moved back another month and a half. Unacceptable!!! If I could rate them it would be a minus 5 stars.

Camping World in Saukville, Wisconsin - Poor Customer Service

3.1
Details
Every Time you make an appointment for service, they tell you when to bring your RV in. They do not give it back to you for 4 to 5 weeks or longer. Dose not matter if it is a small problem or large, warrenty or not. If you call to speak with someone in service. They are to busy to answer the phone and do not call you back. I have cancelled trips because Camping world still had you RV when they said it would be done. I took my RV in for warrenty work and someone ran into it. I waited three weeks to have some minor interior problems fixed. Went on a planned trip and then had to take it back for several weeks to fix the exterior body damaged that happened when they had it. I bought from Camping World because, I liked the RV on line. When I told them my concerns about their poor service reviews. They assured me things have changed and Camping world is doing better. They are NOT!

Things at camping world will never be corrected, it's too big of a mess to sort out. Too many managers breathing down the necks of too many new untrained employees.

Camping world and it's corporate office and Wentzville store are completely unprofessional. They do not reply to calls or emails, and there pioneer camping line is junk, I camped in mine for 2 days and the walls came apart, the sink lines leaked and destroyed the cabnets, lights didn't work, water heater didn't work. Decals were coming unstuck.. The list goes on. And there camp sites with good Sam's are a joke they change the membership prices all the time and the staff at the campgrounds are for the most part rude. They do not do good business or care about there customers, I would never recommend anything about the stores or the company as a whole. And takes months to get anything fixed. Here are just a few pictures of my new 2018 pioneer.

Typical Heartland camper construction. Would never buy a Heartland manufactured camper.

My best friend bought a Heartland 5th wheel. It has been at dealer for 13 of 16 months since purchase.

You have failed Complaining 101.

Communicating your displeasure via calls and e-mails is inadequate and usually incomplete.

You must initiate such contact in writing and provide to the appropriate address via Certified Mail return receipt requested.

You will then have an ironclad timeline in case you don't get results.

Be direct - be concise - be polite.

List items in order of severity. State the solution you desire.

Try to keep the letter to one sheet face only. It's OK to whine and carp here but it won't help you get anything done.

P.S. When you write that letter, use spell check and also watch out for homonyms like there, their, and they're.

Camping World - Avoid This Place

Details
Rv was in for service May 1. 6 month old RV bought at their store. They had it for the month. 3 things were on the repair list. Hot water heater was the main issue I had been trying to get them to fix the the entire month of April. Voice messages were ignored, promises to call back weren't kept. We set up our RV this week and discovered the water heater situation unchanged. I was told there was nothing about this being worked on in my file. We are set up in a rural area and do not have the ability to bring it in. The service manager seems to think I have nothing better to do than run in and out and try and fix it via a phone call. My husband and son are currently trying to fix it. He also made no effort to get back to me after I emailed photos Monday. I had to call him 24 hours later to remind him I still existed. He needs to learn how not to talk to women. I would give them a negative review if I could. Calls to general manager went unanswered. Receptionist hung up on me when I said I was calling their corporate office. A reputable business would apologize and send a technician out to remedy the situation. The only competent person there is their driver Gene.

Camping World in Syracuse, New York - Parts dept. ordered wrong topper for class A slide out, or service does not know how to properly install it after two attempts.

2.3
Details
When I needed a replacement topper for my slide out, I turned to Camping World thinking they were the best choice! I brought my motor home to them so they would be able to order the correct part. About two weeks later (8/16/17) they installed the part and I noticed it was different than the original, but thinking they knew what they were doing, I let it go. On my first outing with the new topper in place (Columbus Day weekend), I found that the topper collected copious amounts of water, making it impossible to bring in the slide without first getting up on the roof and brooming off the water! Camping world was reluctant, but did let me bring it in for an attempted re-install on 10/17/17. After 10 days, I finally got my motorhome back, HOWEVER, the problem with the water collection is still occurring. Of course, the service department and the Parts and Service Director will not acknowledge my phone calls or answer my emails!!! Looks like I am out $700 and still need to purchase a replacement that actually does the job.

Camping World in Calera, Alabama - Horrible experience

1.3
Details
I purchased a used camper in July of 2014. Since it was used I also purchased a plan for the local (Calera) dealer to go through the systems of the camper and make sure everything worked properly, around $600.00. They discovered that the furnace would not ignite, and said it was the electronic ignitor. We had a trip planned the weekend we were to pick the camper up, but the ignitor had not been received. We went on our trip and returned the camper for repairs. Feb 2015, cold weather trip, no heat. Returned to dealer for Gas valve replacement. next cold weather trip, Feb 2016, no heat. Took it to Camping world Foley, AL control board replaced. Cold weather trip this past weekend, NO HEAT!!!! I have sent almost enough to replace the furnace and now I'm told to bring it back so they can check it. Problem may be that I have not properly maintained the furnace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me?????????? These people are ridiculous, I would NEVER buy anything from them EVER!! I will be paying someone else out of my pocket to repair or replace the furnace. I will be cancelling all of my Good Sam's memberships and will never go to a camping world again. Anyone I hear of that is buying a camper will also be encouraged to go elsewhere.

Camping World customer service for RV they sold SUCKS

1.0
Details
We bought a brand new 2017 Fuzion at Phoenix NASCAR race last November. Picked it up first week of December. Used it twice for Christmas and New Years weekends and had all kinds of issues. Dragged it home to Vegas and had Vegas location start the warranty work. They had it for SIX weeks and never touched it. Then we took it back to Phoenix for races week and again more problems. Try dry camping in 100+ degree weather with no generator. Ended up renting a commercial generator for 4 days so we could survive. Made arrangements to drop it off at Avondale store on March 20th. Well SEVEN months later and weekly harrassing calls on our part and the manufacturer it is “fixed”. We are picking it up next week just in time for races again. If it wasn’t for Darcy at the manufacturer, I don’t think they would ever have fixed it if they even did. Unless you call and harass the service department nothing happens. Do you think camping world offered any help. We even paid for the Good Sam extended warranty. That expires in a month. We really never got to use the coach. What we got was a monthly storage bill, insurance and payments and no use of our “vacation home”. We never got to go to the river where we spend most summer weekends. What a F’’N joke.

Camping World - Worst RV Dealer

Took my Class A in for repairs that took almost a year and still wasnt fixed even though they charged me for them. Had to take RV to another Dealer to get repairs done correctly which They did pay for. But had other issues that I had to pay for with the understanding that they would reimburse me. Still have not received even though I have called numerous times and yet to here back from them. RUN AWAY DONT BUY UNLESS YOU WANT THE WORST EXPERIENCE FROM ANY RV DEALER.
