Camping World in Bartow, Florida - Zero respect after the sell

This is a difficult review to write. When my wife and I purchased our 2018 Sandpiper from Camping World in Bartow, we received excellent service up front. Everyone was willing to go above and beyond. This was a particularly difficult situation as we were relocating from Minnesota and we drove from MN directly to Bartow to finalize the deal. We hadn't even set foot on the lot prior to the day we arrived to take delivery. And, they were amazing. Now that we are owners and are having warranty issues, I cannot get anyone from the dealership to return phone calls to attempt to rectify the defects. That is simply disrespectful. I have left 4 messages for Randy Croft their service manager since Thanksgiving and to date I have received nothing in terms of a communication. If you are never going to have to go back to them for service I say go ahead. But, if you remotely think you will need service after the sell go somewhere else. They are terrible after the sell.

I've read many of the other reviews and wonder if anyone has addressed they're problems with the Better Business Bureau or is that just another agency that feeds off the consumer and allows companies like Camping World to continue to rip off the consumer. Is there an honest lawyer that would take on a class action law suit? Haven't seen a single customwr talk about a fair resolution.

Trying to get warranty work completed at Anniston, AL location. The communication between the service writers and service department is non-existent. The quality of work performed is shoddy at best. After 7 weeks, we were told our rv was ready. It was not. Parts were not replaced as per the work order, the battery box cover still cannot be properly secured (safety issue), and technicians used dining room chair as a ladder (dirty footprints). This is the second rv purchased fro Camping World and will be the last. I will glady discuss this with a corporate representative if anyone cares to resolve these issues.

Camping World in Robertsdale, Alabama - Shady sales practice

Went in and found a camper with trade in. Ran through numbers with salesperson michael. After he ran back and forth with the sales person he convinced me to put a money down to get to a payment we were comfortable with. After about two hours the “finance” shrew came out and of course there is a problem. Now I have to pay another $3200 and the payment is going to “maybe” be $13 more than the top end of the originally quoted payment. You looked me in the eye and shook my hand on the original negotiation. In fact you even had me initial twice and sign. I got up to leave and the salesman followed me out to tell me he will try to work it out. I never got a call back. I drive away knowing this company represents itself by employing dishonest liars with no honor or integrity.

Problems with payment

Lemons sold at Camping World

My husband and I purchased a 2017 Zinger Camper Trailer from Camping World in Statesville, N.C. in June of this year. We were told that the camper had been thoroughly checked out before we took possession of the unit. We asked numerous times if our vehicle would be able to tow the trailer. We were told each time that, "well it should." We were never given a straight answer, which raised a red flag for me. Once we were on our way home with the unit we soon discovered that our vehicle was clearly not adequate, and put a tremendous amount of strain on our vehicle. When we finally got the camper home we set it up and were excited to begin using the unit. we soon discovered water leaks and black and grey water issues and many other issues some of which were serious enough to cause possible health issues. We decided to purchase a more adequate vehicle in order to pull the unit to a Camping World center closer to our home. The Camper has been at Tom Johnson's Camping Center for over three months now being serviced which in my opinion is beyond a reasonable amount of time. The camper was not useable to us for the short period of two months while we had it in our possession until we found a vehicle adequate enough to tow it to be serviced, where remains. My husband and I continue to pay for a camper which we cannot use. We are very disappointed at the lack of service and communication from Camping World representatives. I have reached out to several people numerous times to no avail, I can honestly say this has been a terrible experience and one of which I would not recommend to any one. We are getting an attorney to help with this as it is clear no one at Camping World is willing to resolve this issue in a manner which is fair to us. Morganton, N.C.

I'm having the same problem with the same company been in the shop all summer now it's almost wi get never even used it this year do to the fact it's still in the shop

Camping World - How long do you wait before you hire a lawyer

Well it is Decemeber now. I delivered my camper to Camping World in February and there is no way I will see it before January. It was left for warranty work; burnt wire, roof sealant, air vent, ripped couch, broken dump valve handle. Maybe a couple other small things. I have been to the store 3 times to “pick up my ready to go camper”. Not even close any of those times. I drive 2 hours one way each time. Not only have they completely left me wasting my time but the first time I went, my new couch?, it had been cut across the back cushions of the couch. The seemed to be trying to hand me a couch that was known to be cut. Since its been there, it sustained damage to the outside of the camper shell. Many scratches and some dents. And they are obvious one too. We are considering hiring a lawyer and getting camping world to buy it or at the very least pay for the last years worth of payments. The one good thing I can say is they made up for the couch by replacing it with a recliner to match my other. After many many requests. Flustered

Lol.. Thats standard operating procedure for Camping World.. Watch out they will "borrow" parts from your unit while it's there to fix other units..

DO NOT BUY PARTS ONLINE FROM CAMPING WORLD unless you have a couple of weeks to wait. They charged my credit card 2 days after the order (which they are not allowed to do re: VISA/MC credit card terms). After 2 emails to Camping World and one week after I ordered I'm informed that it will be dropped shipped maybe in 2 more days. Hopefully I will receive this item 2 weeks after ordering. Totally unacceptable in today's e-commerce world. Also be aware that online prices are typically lower than in store. If you do go to a store to purchase take a print out of the item from online. They will honor the online price in the store if you can show them it is lower. Possibly Mr Lemonis should spend some time with the company he owns rather that being a TV star wannabe.

Camping World - Customer Service sucks

We could not of been any happier with the sales experience. Misty was great and helped us through the entire process but once their was a problem they want nothing to do with you. Ours was a cash deal, no paperwork, no waiting. Spending over $50,000 I thought would mean something but not to them. They continued to push us from person to person and everyone had an excuse on why things were not getting done. Rear awning over the toy hauler delivered not working - drove over an hour - twice - to get it fixed only to be told they had to reorder a new one - which we asked them to do in the beginning. Cover that was included did not fit and now we are waiting, again for a replacement one. Getting a phone call back is asking for a miracle, nobody gets messages, or so we are told. Service department was rude and disrespectful. After speaking to a manager, we were told someone would make it right and contact us. Well here we are, 4 months later and still waiting. Our last 3 RV's were purchased from Buffalo and we thought buying closer to home would be better if service was ever needed well guess what - We will never be doing another purchase from Camping World in Syracuse.

If it would not have been for the new service manager at the Spokane store. We would still be waiting for warranty work to get done. Call Travis the new service manager he does a terrific job.

Placed a multi-thousand dollar order on campingworld.com. The day the order should have arrived, I still had not even received my shipping confirmation. A call to customer service promised a call back. No call back was received. Another call to customer service, and I was told the person I needed to talk to was busy and can't talk to me, but they would call. With this going into its second week, there is now no way for the products to get to me on time. The credit card transaction was confirmed by my bank on day of the purchase, so there is no issue there. My gut feeling is they sold out and are trying to hold out until replacement product arrives. Yet the web site still shows product being in stock. What a farce. The person at camping world that could clear this up could probably do so in 2 minutes. Well, I can see where customers stand at campingworld.com. Fortunatlely, the charge in on my CC so it can be cancelled and I can buy the product locally.
