Camping World in Woodstock, Georgia - "Management" is terrible and they do not care about you after they make a sell.

3.0
Details
On October 8, 2017 I purchased a 2018 Heartland Pioneer DS310. My sales person was Anthony Tobin. Anthony was a great sales person and showed us several units within our price range and did not push any purchase on us. We closed on the purchase around 6:30 PM and the staff had already left before we could do our walkthrough of the camper. Anthony advised us that I would need to place them a call on Monday (10/9/17) to schedule a time for the RV to be delivered. On October 9, 2017 I placed several phone calls to Camping world to arrange a date and a time for the unit to be delivered. Finally we settled on the delivery date being October 13, 2017. On Wednesday (10/11/17) I placed a phone call to see about getting the unit delivered on 10/12/17 because of the weather that was supposed to come in on the 13th. We decided to keep the delivery time and date the same as previously determined. I talked to Mike who was the delivery man for the unit. I advised Mike that the camper would be sitting on my father's property for a moment and advised him the address. I advised Mike that the driveway to where it would be parked was approximately half a mile or less down a graveled driveway. Mike advised me that normally they only took the camper to where the pavement ends, but that he would take a look at the driveway and *** the possibilities of him delivering the unit to where I wanted it to be parked. On October 13, 2017 I advised my father that Mike might not be able to haul the unit to where I wanted it to be parked. My father contacted a family friend who had a large tractor that could haul the unit to where i wanted it parked if Mike could not. When Mike arrived I drove him down the driveway to *** the possibility of him hauling it down the driveway. Mike stated that he was confident that he could haul it down the driveway with some help throughout the process. My father and I agreed that we would help him haul it down the driveway. I was in the front guiding him through narrow portions of the driveway and my father was in the back. Mike did a great job getting it through the toughest and most narrow portion of the driveway. Once we got the camper at my fathers residence down the driveway, Mike parked the truck and got out to *** the next and final stretch of the haul and to where the camper would be parked. Mike stated that he would probably drop the unit off at my fathers and not take it up the final stretch. Mike and my father, and I looked assessed the driveway and made a few measurements to confirm that the unit could be hauled up. Mike agreed that he would haul it to where it would be parked. Mike was worried about one pole that was near the driveway and we measured the area and talked about it and came to the conclusion that it would not be a problem. My father pointed out a tree that was leaning over the route and stated to Mike that we should remove the tree first. Mike stated that he didn't think the tree would be a problem and hopped back in his truck to haul it up. While coming through the final area the camper collided with the tree that my father had pointed out. The tree collided with the power/led awning moving the awning about a foot and a half bending the awning. When I heard the sound i halted Mike. We took a loot at the damages and figured out a remedy to get the tree away and off of the camper. We cut the tree down using a chainsaw and freed up the collision. Mike finished the haul with ease after that point and parked the unit where I wanted it to be parked. I asked Mike who i would need to call at Camping world to have the awning fixed. Mike advised me that i would just need to contact my insurance company. I asked Mike why Camping World would not take care of this issue since it occurred during the delivery of my unit with Camping World's truck hauling it. Mike stated that he was not supposed to deliver the unit past the pavement ending. Avoiding any type of confrontation I just advised Mike that we would figure something out and Mike left. After Mike left I placed a phone call to Camper World to address this issue. The lady i talked to advised that she did not know if Tracey was available, but that she would try to hunt her down to give me a call, and if not she would leave the message. I did not receive a phone call from Tracey that day. I placed a phone call on 10/14/17 and asked to speak with Tracey. Tracey advised me to write this email explaining what had occurred the day this happened. Tracey advised that she and her GM will read this message and see what they need to do to get this issue fixed. I advised Tracey on the phone that i do not understand how i should have to come out of my pocket to fix the awning. The unit was attached to Mikes Camping world truck when the damage occurred. Mike was not forced or coerced into hauling the unit where he did, he did so freely. Mike was confident that he could do the job, so we let him. Mike also knew that we had a tractor on stand by to haul in the unit if we needed to. After over literally 100's of phone calls (non of which was to any supervisor - because they would not return my phone call) an employee at this location advised me that Tracey had told them to tell me that there was nothing that they could do to fix my unit. I attempted to reach out to their corporate office, and couldn't get any help there either. IF YOU PLAN ON BUYING A RV GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. GO TO A COMPANY WHO PUTS YOU FIRST AND WORKS FOR YOU. THE ONLY THING THESE PEOPLE WANT IS YOUR MONEY.

Camping World in Chattanooga, Tennessee - DO NOT USE THEM

1.7
Details
DO NOT USE THEM.............I recently had my rv in for a 45 point inspection, winterization, and a few other minor things. They left my trailer a mess. Used my personal towels and just threw them in the tub. Soaking wet. Scuffed up base at my sink, left a mess in the tub and sink. Left items of mine out on the floor. Also bent my tongue base plate. I have pictures of all of this. I am extremely upset by this. Not to mention the exorbitant charge for the services I received of course which was not disclosed in the "quotes" Very unhappy with this whole experience. Mentioned this to the service person, didn't have anything to say.

On New Years day 2017, on the way to Florida, we had a blowout. We called Camping World and Bob an associate, worked hard on finding us tires. Of course, we had to wait until the next day to have them put on. Early the next day, Bob had them ready for us. We followed him to the service center and he even took me back to Camping World to get a part they needed. He was so helpful. He got us the best possible price. He also called Walmart and asked if we could stay overnight. Can’t thank him and Camping World enough!

This is a complaint website.

It is not for free advertising or apple polishing.

Please complain about the crummy tire that blew out.

Or tires, since you bought multiples.

You were sadly unprepared for a road trip with bad tires.

@William

Damn why must everything be a complaint. I thought this was about Camping World. Over half of the complaints on here are not about Camping World but the RV manufacturers .

Camping World in Wood Village, Oregon - The worst customer service I've ever encountered

1.0
Details
We bought a 2018 Jayco Jay Flight in July 2017 Hillsboro store. Service was at Troutdale store, called and left message twice, no return call, third time made appointment, had to wait a month to get to get trailer info shop for mostly little things, was told they would call with update in a week, no call came, at two weeks I called, no response, a week later I called three more times with no response, after four weeks I drove to store to find out what was going on with my trailer, got the run around and excuses. Finally after almost three months of trailer being there, I went and picked it up, gave it a quick once over before I left shop and found the compartment lock that was repaired, still not work properly, the compartment seal that was replaced was installed wrong, the brakes weren't adjusted that they said they could do, the a/c concern ? Before I left I told them to ship me the new compartment seal and I'll do it myself because I'm not coming back here. Got trailer home and found my heater had been left on, for how long I didn't know, propane tanks just about empty. This has been the worst service hands down I've ever had ever with anything in my life, never an apology for this just excuses. However one person who helped me today (Robert) did apologize for the poor communication and did order the compartment seal. Overall I would give this dealer zero stars and will go elsewhere for service even if I have to drive a hundred miles. C Scott

Camping World of Syracuse NY, don't walk, RUN FROM THIS PLACE !!

1.9
Details
We have never witnessed such incompetence. Camping world of Syracuse NY has an I don't give a *** attitude with a lack of knowledge and lack of customer service. Of the many, many times I have tried to buy parts from the parts counter, they have never once personally answered the telephone. Leaving a message is the only option and you may or may not get a return phone call. Once tried to obtain keys for a door lock set as the great outdoors said they could hook us up but we were stopping at Camping world first for other items, the parts manager of Camping World said replacement keys are not an option and the other co. is, in his own words, blowing smoke up your *** end quote. The latest debacle was a walk thru on a brand new unit. The so called "expert' was a joke. My wife was more informed of the unit systems than this punk was. After 3 hours of looking for the coach engine battery and transmission fill/dipstick, we resorted to the owners manual to answer our questions. And finally, the walk thru never revealed how to winterize our 100,000 couch. Guess they want you to bring it to them, NEVER, over my dead body would I leave any service, repairs or consultation up to these incompetent, I don't give a crap, employees ! I will say, the sales person, Steve Wood, was a stand up excellent, knowledgeable, man of his word sales person, Thank you Steve !! Oh, yeah, and we still do not have possession of the coach and have signed all the paperwork, under Jim's insistence: 1. that we have taken possession (of which has not happened) 2. That all items are repaired, of which has not happened 3. whereby they have all of our money and we have no coach ! Nice !! Merry Christmas to us .... 12/22/2017 Thanks Camping World !!

Camping World - All they want to do is sell

We bought 2012 holiday Rambler from Kingston NY in September was told everything was in good working order when to orientation most of everything was cover so I thought. We are full timers got back to camp grounds where we was working need heat a few weeks later turn the heater on it blew apart got it fixed by myself and then a few other problems start showing up. So made a appointment with other dealer because camping world couldn’t get it in. So then the fun began found out it was in a accident 3 big cracks on roof. I know I should check the roof but I am in no shape to be climbing on roofs. So call back to Kingston talk to Carl our sales person said he didn’t know anything about it ask if it was like check out he said it was a blind men could seen the cracks we thought it was the seal on sideouts. All they want was to sell it and finance it and extend warranty. And got *** off because I wouldn’t go with them.was told to say way from Camping world

PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM CAMPING WORLD

Details
I would NEVER buy another camper from Camping World. My husband and I bought our first camper from Camping World in Ashville. We first went to Marion NC. Bob is the manager for both location. We made at least 5 trips to Marion from Spartanburg SC. We didn’t find exactly what we wanted. The salesman and the manager Bob made the decision to have a camper brought from another state. We didn’t know they were doing this. They called us and we went to see the camper. Again it wasn’t what we wanted. We had given them a $500.00 deposit one one we saw early on the hunt for a camper. Bob got angry because we didn’t buy the one they brought in from another state that he deposited our $500.00 check. The scary part of this story, I found out about this when I was paying some bills online. We contacted them. They wouldn’t give it back to us. We contacted Corporate Camping World and they made Bob give us the money back. They meet my husband in front of the door and wouldn’t let him in the store. So we went to the store in Asheville not knowing Bob managed that store as well. We bought a camper. Salesman Matt was nice. Then we got to the Finance Dept and that is when we should have run out the door. His name is Adam F. HE IS AWEFUL!. DO NOT TRUST him. Adam never returns call, Adam never returns emails. We found a better interest rate through State Farm’s, we we wanted to cancel the gap insurance. Camping World became pissed off and that is when everything went to ....... we signed the cancelation form and gave it to Adam to fax to Safe Guard. A month later we called Adam, and of course we never received a return call. My wife got in touch with Safe Guard and sent the cancelation form directly to them. A week later Safe Guard sent the instructions to Camping World in Asheville so they could process. Another month went by and many phone calls to Camping World asking where our refund was. It wasn’t just few dollars. It was $1500.00. We had to get in touch with Corporate at Camping World again. We never heard from Corporate again. In was another couple of weeks before receding our refund. 3 months in took and 17 calls to Camping World. My husband and I made the decision to cancel our extended insurance which we had through Camping World. We had another insurance to cover the tires. So my husband drove back to Ashville to meet with Adam to sign the cancelation form for both. Adam was supposed to fax to Safe Guard. A month later we find out Adam again never faxed the papers. We have called 5 times now, with no response from anyone. My husband and could have easily obtained an Attorney, but we are not like that. I work with Attorney every day. We are honest hard working people who worked for 15 years to buy this camper and this is the way we are treated. Once we get this next next refund, we will NEVER buy another thing from Camping World. They saw talk with Corporate. I can tell you Corporate isn’t anymore responsive as the manager. Camping World will be nice until you sign on the dotted line. After that you do not matter at all. DO NOT BUY FROM CAMPING WORLD. Once they get your money you will never get i5 back. I will be reporting this to the Better Business Buriel. PLEASE. DO BUY FROM CAMPING WORLD

Don’t buy from Camping World!!

We made two mistakes when we bought 2 fifth wheel toy haulers, one from Woodstock and then Byron GA locations. Skipping to the last problem with them to keep from writing a book here, we paid for the extended warranty on a brand new 2016 Fuzion toy hauler and 1 year and 2 months later traded it in at a different company for an Entegra Anthem MH. Sent in requested form to cancel the warranty on the Fuzion and asked for a reply by email that they received it. After a week I called the finance office and was sent from person to person and voice mail after voice mail. Finally, I was able to talk to “Zack” called the finance manager and after lots of discussion on what I had to send to him, he said he would send it to the warranty department. Now, one more thing, we traded a F-350 in at the same place and time with the Fuzion and received a refund check from Ford Mike Fitzpatrick in Newnan GA several weeks ago, but so far nothing from Camping World in Byron GA. He was also rude on the phone acting as if we were taking something from him, it’s our money, and if you read all the reviews and still buy a RV from Camping World, just know you have been warned!!!

They offered me 12500.00 for a 5th Wheel that Retailed above 44000.00 less than two years ago. It is in like new condition.

Never have I been so insulted.

This is probably worth calling corporate to file a complaint. It is too late for me to even think about going to one of their lots

No, as of present time, we still have not received our extended warranty refund or even a call back for left messages.

Did you know camping world is their own warranty company, they pocket this money and in many cases don't even honor the warranty they sold you. I personally spoke with one of their x mechanics, he said they were told to sabotage approx $1000 in damage on new incompetent ng trailers so as to deduct from their factory cost. This included pulling trim back, scratching/ gouging woodwork to pulling wall panels and disconnecting wires and clain lights and outlets don't work.
