Camping World in Byron, Georgia - Wish we had never gone there

1.0
Details
You have described my exact situation at this very moment. We took Our 2017 Avalanche to them at the end of October and had a trip planned for after Christmas. We were told when we dropped it off, "oh you will get it back in plenty of time for your trip". I had surgery in November so I wasn't able to really check on things until the beginning of December. We were told waiting on parts, waiting on parts when in fact the warranty still had not been sent in nor had the parts ever been ordered. Finally I had to call Keystone to get them to call Camping World to get the Warranty taken care of. Once that was done again we were told waiting on parts, waiting on parts. We had to go pick up the RV for our trip, hour and a half drive to get it, and we told them we would not bring it back until they had the parts. January 9th, I have been told twice now that they are still waiting on the parts. I called Keystone and 1 part had been ordered but it was out of stock so that's why it wasn't in yet. Keep in mind Camping World was too ignorant to call Keystone and find out that information. The other item had not been ordered from them. I find out for some reason they ordered it straight from the vendor and the vendor (Dometic) will not give me information because it was ordered in the name of Camping World not our name so they told me I will have to find out that information from Camping World. Now the parts guy, Richie, in Macon GA tells me that the parts were lost in transit. When asked what they will do now and how long before we get our parts he tells me he doesn't know but he will have to file a claim and file something with Dometic to have new parts ordered. I have never been lied to so many times in my life. It's a bunch of idiots who either don't know how to do their job or don't want to do their job...I am pissed!!

Camping World in Holiday, Florida - Worst experience Ever

1.0
Details
This is the WORST experience I have ever had. We took our toy hauler in to the New Port Ritchie Camping World for warranty work. They offered to buy the camper from us at this time. We have all of the text messages and emails showing the agreed upon price. It has been 3 MONTHS and the repairs are still not completed and to top it off they are now saying that "the general manager says they will not take consignment and they are not buying it"... so they basically kept our 2017 camper for 3 months , have NOT done all of the requested warranty work AND are now saying that they will not buy it. Another funny thing is that as I sat in the truck waiting on my husband while he was in talking to the incompetent staff of this store they were SHOWING my camper to people. I watched them . I told my husband this and my husband asked them and they admitted that they had been showing it!! SHOWING our camper that they did NOT own and had still not done the warranty work on. Stay away.

We have since sold our camper. It took them 3 months to complete warranty work...

and having it on their lot was like free storage so we told interested buyers where it was and the day the warranty work was complete we had a buyer show up and drive it off their lot. It worked out, but I'd never visit this particular establishment again.)

{{Redacted}} **Update We received a call from the General manager at Camping World in New Port Ritchey and he stated that his decision is final. That he doesn't care that they have had our camper for almost 3 months and that they have been showing the camper for this entire time while it was in for warranty work ( that is still not complete) . My husband said he will continue talking to Corporate and the general Manager said " That's fine, they will keep pushing it back to me and I am not changing my mind." I assume that this is not the mentality of Camping World Corporate.

Camping World in Pooler, Georgia - Total false advertising practices

Camping World - Total false advertising practices
I found a 2018 Jaco Jay Feather 22BHM listed online at rvtrader.com for a listed price of $4172.00. I then checked dealer website campingworld.com and it was shown as in stock so I called the dealer in Pooler Ga. and ask about it. No salesman was available so the operator looked it up for me and said it was on the lot. She had to find a manager to get the price. John later called me back and said the price was $16,995,00 plus taxes and other fees, only offered last year price to me. I will never step foot on a lot that uses false advertising and neither should anyone else. In todays world with all the technology there is no excuse for a misprint. The manager John even had the nerve to hang up the phone on me. Totaly unacceptable practice for any bussiness!!!

Camping World in Longmont, Colorado - Poor Customer Service

Details
I hope after reading this you are as upset as my wife and I are along with other of your customers I have spoken with. And, further, that something positive will result. Please read the attached emails. We purchased a new Winnebago Aspect from you a few months ago. We noticed after our first trip of 700 miles that there were some items broken or missing needing repaired. I called your service dept. and had to wait about a month to get an appointment. I told them we just bought this from you but they still made me wait. (Not good customer service). I brought my RV in Dec. 6th. Hoping we could get it fixed for our planned Christmas trip. I was shocked when your parts/service rep. told me it would take 2 to three weeks to just get the parts. One of the deciding factors in purchasing a Winnebago was the fact that all parts are numbered and they keep those parts for 10 years. Now I am being told it would take several weeks for you to just get the parts. I told him anything can be over-nighted in the U.S. It's done every day. I offered to pay the overnight shipping fee. He said you couldn't do that and this was Winnebago's system to take that long to get parts. I didn't believe him. Well, as a successful business man and previous owner of several successful businesses, I know that what I was told was not true and only excuses for inept and outdated systems and employees that don't really care about your customers. Thus, I contacted Winnebago directly. I found out this is not their system or protocol. I was told most parts orders are sent out within a day or two at the most. I also found out that your parts person waited until Dec. 16 to even place the order. They should have been ordered on Dec. 6 when I brought my RV in.!!!!. Winnebago shipped them to you on the 18th. I have heard most of your people behind the parts/service desk tell people the same thing that parts take 2-3 weeks to get. Well, they sure do when you don't even order them for 10 days - several weeks. Your parts person also told me since this was a warranty situation, the parts had to be authorized by Winnebago which is another lie. Your system of taking care of clients is BADLY BROKEN. Excuses won't fix the problem. There are solutions to every single part of this situation. As a business man and student of business, I know that customer service will increase sales more than any other item and your system is badly Broken. Another item of dissatisfaction is I was told the missing screw covers in the ceiling were not under warranty and I would have to pay for them. Boy, that really PISSED off my wife. Yes, we can afford them. That is not the issue. The issue is "taking care of the customer". We just spent several thousand dollars on a NEW RV, and you can't take care of replacing the screw covers that cost less than 5 cents!!!! Your employees need to be better trained and given some authority to take care of small items like this if you want to really have customer service instead of just talking about it. The representative at the factory apologized for your lack of caring and mailed them to us. If other companies you deal with actually take 2 to 3 weeks or more to send you parts in this modern era then you need to let them know they will not be your vendors any longer unless they can get parts to you within a couple of days. You have the buying power to make this happen. If you can't make this happen, you better get with the Camping World executives who can make this happen to do it. This experience has turned us against you for ever purchasing another RV from Camping World. Please step back and take a look at what is happening at your location. Customers don't like purchasing a new RV and then having their Christmas plans changed because their new RV they wanted to use is tied up for a MONTH getting 4 little items fixed that could be done in just a couple of hours.

Buy Canadian, where quality reigns. Especially Leisure. You get what you pay for.

they're required to keep parts that long. all manufacturers are.

Problem with Winnie and others is they are churning out so many RVs right now because boomers are retiring that quality is just not there. Sorry about that and your experience at CW.

Me ad my fiancé bought a camper from camping world last year never got a tour of it after we bought it and signed the papers till it was delivered 3 months later. Was promised to us in only a week after we bought it numerous things were messed up which we paid around 1000 dollars it of our own pocket to fix because camping world said they would not fix unless we brought it in well our camper is at permanent camp site at our camp ground cost us 300 dollars to have it put in and 300 to have it pulled out. I told the service person this they said they could give us a gift card a lot of crap that would do us. For one our dining room table is warped has a gouge in the wood, the chairs are bent and do not sit even, our dining room slide has a big rip in the molding, the roof top leaks our door lock broke a week after it was delivered, the electrical panel hums loud the front slide had a gap in it when it was open we saw daylight when we opened it up. Like I said I had a repair man come fix the majority of these items promised by sales person I would be paid back sent in receipts never got a I dime I paid almost 1000 dollars. Which I will never see So here is my promise I will tell every one I know to never buy from your place my land lord already turned u into the better business bureau and so will I you people are crooks thieves and should never be in business!!!!!!!!!!

Camping World - Liars

Located a fifth wheel in South Dakota. Made an out the door deal. Discussed state taxes in their state and obtained the local address they said best for local taxes and deal. Now the liars say we owe state taxes on top of signed deal plus registration. They have even sent two separate prices which is not the same as the agreed upon deal price. Should be a crime. Worst experience ever. Will be filing state complaint.

Camping World in Hillsboro, Oregon - Extended service plan refund

1.0
Details
Our slideout quit working. The $2995 service agreement we paid for would not cover it. We had to pay $2700 out of pocket. Requested a refund from Hillsboro, where we purchased our 5th wheel. I completed the form and dropped it by their office. I emailed Bryan Estrada twice to make sure he got my paperwork and had forwarded it to Assurant Solutions. I also inquired as to how long it would take to get our refund. Bryan has not responded.

Might also want to consider sending a him a hard copy letter by registered mail that utilizes "receipt return". You want evidence of problem documented in writing and proof of request for payment.

Email and phone calls aren't going to get it. When in the area drop in there in person and pay the guy a cordial visit to check on where is the money. Last thing they want to do is physically see you walk into the place and see your face in person. But it shows you mean business.

But be nice. Considering the amount of money involved you may get tired of waiting for 8 weeks so a local attorney can get the ball rolling with a letter from his office.

Ultimately veiled written legal threat from attorney will light a fire under these guys. Good luck.

He will probably not actually send in they cancellation until you hassle him several times, then it will take 8 weeks to get it.

If this dealer declares bankruptcy before you get a title or tag or anything to prove ownership of this RV to get it properly registered with the state you are in big trouble. You possibly are not the legal owner as it stands now.

Stop dealing with clerks and see the owner or general manager who has a brain at this place.

Start searching the yellow pages in the category of "Attorneys". You may need one pronto.
