Camping World - Horrible service. Lies, ignored! Don't buy here.

Bought new RV at Camping World Nashville. After almost one year of many trips back for "service" nothing has been repaired. No stove, no refrigerator, wiring and plumbing nightmare. Craig in Service ignores, lies, does not care at all. Horrible business. Sam G. responded to my bad Yelp review with a bogus email. More lies.

Camping World - Poor service and work

1.4
Details
One star rating is too much. They will not stand behind their work. I bought a very nice camper and they did 3 things to it before I took possession of it. 2 of the 3 have had issues within 4 months and they will not fix it. They say they have a 12 month warranty on all of their work, but good luck. I wouldo never recommend them. The good ol days of taking care of your customers and making sure you get repeat business has been taken over by the corporate world (camping world) mentality of “let’s do things as cheap as possible and get as much money as we can today so that our numbers for the month are good”.

Do Not buy a Camper from Camping World

1.1
Details
Do Not ever buy a camper from Camping World St Louis. I‘m already on my second camper in 1 year. Both campers have had non repairable delamination problems. 1st time around I was lied to by the salesman and told that the bubbles on side of camper were normal. They should have never sold the camper without discounting it $2,000 and having me sign a waiver. They exchanged it for another camper and the same problem occurred after a couple months. They said they are going to exchange it for a completly different model. Dropped camper of in November and I have not heard a word from them since. Every time I call Shane, the store manager he says he is working on it and it should be a couple days. 3 months later and he has never called me once. Do your research and buy from a local company.

I wish I had read this before I gave a deposit on a Mallard. Once they got your money, they have you by the short hairs. Customer service changes after they have your money...

Camping World - INCOMPETENT SERVICE PERSONNEL

Watson Jones bought a camper from the Byron Georgia location. He is what has taken place so far. What can we do! September 3rd, 2017 we took our 2016 Jayco Pinnacle to our dealer. We had already replaced the rotors, brakes and drums after only a few miles. They weren't even hooked up properly. We could've been killed. We had a trip planned with family for over a year so my husband made the repairs himself, that was in June. We headed out on our trip in July. At our first site to camp one of the awnings got stuck and broke the end cap and when we let out the large awning it was coming apart at the seam in several places. Almost as soon as we bought our camper the table top veneer starting peeling off, the top has been replaced, Then you could shut the 1/2 bath fan and when you stopped it would be open. This went for the 2 1/2 weeks on our trip. The basement door rubber was coming off at month 2 of our ownership. Then the leveling system on one leg wouldn't work. The closet door mirrors weren't attached properly. The gas heat would not work, the front door when cold would lock and you couldn't get out . One slide would stop and not work properly. My husband received a call, your camper is fixed. Today is January 11th 2018. He drives an hour to pick it up. Batteries dead. He boosted it and turned the generator on. None of the leveling system works now and he couldn't even jack it up. Don't know if the fan was repaired or not can't even drive it down the road to see if it stays closed. Opened the awnings and the large one came out crooked! The small one came out and dropped down. None of the major repairs have been done properly and actually in a worst mess! We are making payments on this junk for the next few years! We are mad and very upset at all the lies and a big mess. We have called Jayco and actually been fairly nice with the people at Camping World Byron, Ga. The service repairs are a joke. My young grandsons could do a better job. Jayco and Camping World need to get their act together. We had a new 2007 Jayco Designer for 8 years and NEVER had to take it back for repairs. We always took very good care of our camper! All of this stress dealing with this is affecting our health. I don't want this camper anymore. This is so frustrating and aggravating! Jayco doesn't have the quality they once did!!! Don't buy from Camping World!!! They do not care about their customers!!!!!

What can you do? When you get mad enough at your local dealer get legal advice from an attorney.

Camping World in Byron, Georgia - Wish we had never gone there

You have described my exact situation at this very moment. We took Our 2017 Avalanche to them at the end of October and had a trip planned for after Christmas. We were told when we dropped it off, "oh you will get it back in plenty of time for your trip". I had surgery in November so I wasn't able to really check on things until the beginning of December. We were told waiting on parts, waiting on parts when in fact the warranty still had not been sent in nor had the parts ever been ordered. Finally I had to call Keystone to get them to call Camping World to get the Warranty taken care of. Once that was done again we were told waiting on parts, waiting on parts. We had to go pick up the RV for our trip, hour and a half drive to get it, and we told them we would not bring it back until they had the parts. January 9th, I have been told twice now that they are still waiting on the parts. I called Keystone and 1 part had been ordered but it was out of stock so that's why it wasn't in yet. Keep in mind Camping World was too ignorant to call Keystone and find out that information. The other item had not been ordered from them. I find out for some reason they ordered it straight from the vendor and the vendor (Dometic) will not give me information because it was ordered in the name of Camping World not our name so they told me I will have to find out that information from Camping World. Now the parts guy, Richie, in Macon GA tells me that the parts were lost in transit. When asked what they will do now and how long before we get our parts he tells me he doesn't know but he will have to file a claim and file something with Dometic to have new parts ordered. I have never been lied to so many times in my life. It's a bunch of idiots who either don't know how to do their job or don't want to do their job...I am pissed!!

Camping World in Holiday, Florida - Worst experience Ever

1.0
Details
This is the WORST experience I have ever had. We took our toy hauler in to the New Port Ritchie Camping World for warranty work. They offered to buy the camper from us at this time. We have all of the text messages and emails showing the agreed upon price. It has been 3 MONTHS and the repairs are still not completed and to top it off they are now saying that "the general manager says they will not take consignment and they are not buying it"... so they basically kept our 2017 camper for 3 months , have NOT done all of the requested warranty work AND are now saying that they will not buy it. Another funny thing is that as I sat in the truck waiting on my husband while he was in talking to the incompetent staff of this store they were SHOWING my camper to people. I watched them . I told my husband this and my husband asked them and they admitted that they had been showing it!! SHOWING our camper that they did NOT own and had still not done the warranty work on. Stay away.

We have since sold our camper. It took them 3 months to complete warranty work...

and having it on their lot was like free storage so we told interested buyers where it was and the day the warranty work was complete we had a buyer show up and drive it off their lot. It worked out, but I'd never visit this particular establishment again.)

{{Redacted}} **Update We received a call from the General manager at Camping World in New Port Ritchey and he stated that his decision is final. That he doesn't care that they have had our camper for almost 3 months and that they have been showing the camper for this entire time while it was in for warranty work ( that is still not complete) . My husband said he will continue talking to Corporate and the general Manager said " That's fine, they will keep pushing it back to me and I am not changing my mind." I assume that this is not the mentality of Camping World Corporate.

Camping World in Pooler, Georgia - Total false advertising practices

Camping World - Total false advertising practices
I found a 2018 Jaco Jay Feather 22BHM listed online at rvtrader.com for a listed price of $4172.00. I then checked dealer website campingworld.com and it was shown as in stock so I called the dealer in Pooler Ga. and ask about it. No salesman was available so the operator looked it up for me and said it was on the lot. She had to find a manager to get the price. John later called me back and said the price was $16,995,00 plus taxes and other fees, only offered last year price to me. I will never step foot on a lot that uses false advertising and neither should anyone else. In todays world with all the technology there is no excuse for a misprint. The manager John even had the nerve to hang up the phone on me. Totaly unacceptable practice for any bussiness!!!

Camping World in Longmont, Colorado - Poor Customer Service

Details
I hope after reading this you are as upset as my wife and I are along with other of your customers I have spoken with. And, further, that something positive will result. Please read the attached emails. We purchased a new Winnebago Aspect from you a few months ago. We noticed after our first trip of 700 miles that there were some items broken or missing needing repaired. I called your service dept. and had to wait about a month to get an appointment. I told them we just bought this from you but they still made me wait. (Not good customer service). I brought my RV in Dec. 6th. Hoping we could get it fixed for our planned Christmas trip. I was shocked when your parts/service rep. told me it would take 2 to three weeks to just get the parts. One of the deciding factors in purchasing a Winnebago was the fact that all parts are numbered and they keep those parts for 10 years. Now I am being told it would take several weeks for you to just get the parts. I told him anything can be over-nighted in the U.S. It's done every day. I offered to pay the overnight shipping fee. He said you couldn't do that and this was Winnebago's system to take that long to get parts. I didn't believe him. Well, as a successful business man and previous owner of several successful businesses, I know that what I was told was not true and only excuses for inept and outdated systems and employees that don't really care about your customers. Thus, I contacted Winnebago directly. I found out this is not their system or protocol. I was told most parts orders are sent out within a day or two at the most. I also found out that your parts person waited until Dec. 16 to even place the order. They should have been ordered on Dec. 6 when I brought my RV in.!!!!. Winnebago shipped them to you on the 18th. I have heard most of your people behind the parts/service desk tell people the same thing that parts take 2-3 weeks to get. Well, they sure do when you don't even order them for 10 days - several weeks. Your parts person also told me since this was a warranty situation, the parts had to be authorized by Winnebago which is another lie. Your system of taking care of clients is BADLY BROKEN. Excuses won't fix the problem. There are solutions to every single part of this situation. As a business man and student of business, I know that customer service will increase sales more than any other item and your system is badly Broken. Another item of dissatisfaction is I was told the missing screw covers in the ceiling were not under warranty and I would have to pay for them. Boy, that really PISSED off my wife. Yes, we can afford them. That is not the issue. The issue is "taking care of the customer". We just spent several thousand dollars on a NEW RV, and you can't take care of replacing the screw covers that cost less than 5 cents!!!! Your employees need to be better trained and given some authority to take care of small items like this if you want to really have customer service instead of just talking about it. The representative at the factory apologized for your lack of caring and mailed them to us. If other companies you deal with actually take 2 to 3 weeks or more to send you parts in this modern era then you need to let them know they will not be your vendors any longer unless they can get parts to you within a couple of days. You have the buying power to make this happen. If you can't make this happen, you better get with the Camping World executives who can make this happen to do it. This experience has turned us against you for ever purchasing another RV from Camping World. Please step back and take a look at what is happening at your location. Customers don't like purchasing a new RV and then having their Christmas plans changed because their new RV they wanted to use is tied up for a MONTH getting 4 little items fixed that could be done in just a couple of hours.

they're required to keep parts that long. all manufacturers are.

Problem with Winnie and others is they are churning out so many RVs right now because boomers are retiring that quality is just not there. Sorry about that and your experience at CW.
