Camping World in Mesa, Arizona - Overcharged for posted price on item on display

I asked a parts tech about interior Led lights for my RV. He sold me on them and told me the price posted. When I got to the cashier, she asked if I was a member, I said no, she then went into a pressure sales pitch about purchasing 1 of 2 programs , finally convinced her just sell me the bulbs. Got to my vehicle and discovered I was overcharged, went back and was told to just wait until all other customers were handled. Waited 20 minutes, ignored me, finally went to the Parts person and he took posted sticker to a cashier and to take care of. Waited again for customers, then she left with my sales slip and price, never came back, finally another cashier replaced her after 20 minutes. Finally repeated what happened then returned overcharge acting very rude. This happened in Mesa store. 8 to 10 employees standing around but no one offered or asked to help. The were not concerned and very rude. Other customers commented how rude the cashiers were and need training or? Need to curb the sales pitch on Good Sam detracts from why they are there!!!!

Camping World - NOT A HAPPY CAMPER.

Camping World Of Chattanooga possibly the worst motor home repair facility in the world!!!! I took our motor home in for a problem with hot water. It would be hot and then cold. I picked it up two weeks later and paid $600 and was told they had to order a part. 5 weeks later the part came in and I took the Rv back in. 6 days later I picked it up and there was another part in order. A month later I was notified the part was in. I took the rv back in and was told it would not take long so I opted to wait for it. 6 hours later I was told by the time I got back to the service desk it would be ready. (The waiting room is a half mile walk from the service desk. I have surgery scheduled to replace both hips due to sever arthritis. I got to walk that in the rain). So I get back to the service desk and was presented with a bill for another $1200. Then I was told “And by the way” you will have to replace your water heater!!!!! I was not a happy camper.

My RV spent a couple of bad weeks at Camping World of Oxford

My Class A RV (2002/3 Damon Intruder) needed several items fixed over the Christmas Holidays (2017). In September (2017) I had called the service manager (Russ) and inquired about dropping of the rig on Friday 12/22/17) and picking it up on the 2nd. He said I needed to call him about mid-December, and I followed his instructions. I asked him to keep it plugged in since there would be food in the refrigerator. He told me that as a rule they don't keep them plugged in and to empty the food out before bringing the rig to him. I was concerned that the rig would have to have water in it to fix the washer / dryer, but he told me that the weather never gets freezing cold that time of year and not to worry. Needless to say that 2018 started the year off with a week of sub-32 degree days. The rig was not heated and suffered broken bath fittings, toilet sprayer line, shower head and ice maker failure. The Camping World technicians had cycled the washer / dryer through several wash cycles and left water in all the lines and parked the rig outside until they received the new water heater they said had to be installed to stop water leaking in side the rig. They placed the order for the new water heater, but failed to have it expedited to the store, so picking up the my rig did not occur until mid-day Saturday, 1/6/18. The installation of the new hot water heater was not tested and in fact the water heater was completely "valved" out and did not have water circulated in it before it was returned to me to drive to Birmingham and park on my rental space. I called the Camping World Service Desk and they said that there was an on site repair guy that would fix was not working. The Camping World service writer (Mark Prater) had given me this man's card when I picked up the rig earlier that day. When I got the water running finally that Saturday afternoon, I had water leaks all over the rig, the hot water heater would not ignite on the gas side, the electrical heating element did not work, the washer / dryer leaked even worse that it had when I took it in, and the large slide-out that Camping World had serviced would not slide out. It has taken more than a month to get the rig to a place where most of the problems are now fixed. During that time Camping World has refused to pay for the damages to the rig from the freezing temperatures and not paid for the work that the "on site repair" service has done. Having a conversation with the "on site repair" serviceman I have learned that this is a norm for Camping World of Oxford. So if you really don't mind really shoddy repair and service to you rig, ask for Rus he and his technicians will not fail to show you how incomplete and untested repair and service can be accomplished at a fairly steep price.

Camping World - Great experience overall salesman and finance departments
Boat and RV show of Tulsa was awesome in 2018 with Camping World of Tulsa. Rob Pendley and management staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. My wife and I feel like we got a very good price; as well as service. We give the staff and dealership a 10 out of 10. If anyone is looking for a camper or RV, we suggest go see Rob Pendley and staff at Camping World of Tulsa. We are looking forward to going camping in our new trailer. Thank you Camping World of Tulsa.

Camping World - Complaint

Details
We purchased a high end camper at Camping World in Tulsa. It left the lot with what we felt were minimum issues that we could get repaired at Camping World in Springfield. We only got to take our trailer out twice and had to take in to get the repairs done as well as major repairs that have come up. It has literally been over six months in the shop. Today we are bringing it home still not repaired properly. The Service department is crap. We will be getting a new camper at a dealer in our local area.

Camping World in Oakwood, Georgia - CW is unworthy of your time or money.

CW's managers are so ineffective at interpersonal communication that it defies belief they are allowed to represent your company and meet the public. Both finance managers were rude, confrontational and non-enaging. The "bait and switch" on trade-in pricing was epic. I fell for it once, decided to let it pass, and then got hit over the head with it again sitting at the desk ready to close the deal. After burning hours and hours of time, I was morally forced to get up and leave. The fellow who gave me the "orientation" knew dramatically less about the RV than I did. He was lost. My sales guy was friendly enough, though it rang very hollow when repeatedly said he was "going to bat for me." CW clearly allows their sales people no autonomy/authority to get any deal done. I have since struck a deal and purchased a new 5th wheel/traded mine in with one of your competitors, today. They offered me the same price CW did originally, only they stuck with their offer until the end. I wouldn't recommend CW to any person, living or dead. The experience left me with a distinctly lessened opinion of humanity. Bert

Camping World - Customer Service and Service Dept

Attn: Marcus Lemonis I doubt if this will even get to you or if we will even hear back from you, We first bought our 2018 17 ft Jayco from Gulf Breeze CW and had it for 4 or 5 months then realized that we needed something larger. We looked around at all the dealerships and found a 2018 26 ft Coleman Lantern 262BH that was reduced $10,000.00. We asked why it was marked off so much and the salesman Joel said that it was sitting on the property for over 90 days and they have to start paying the note. Long story short we bought it and even had problems getting together to sign the paper work between us and the dealership. I was about to say forget the whole thing when I got a call from Brian (he said he was the head finance manager). He said he would give us 100 gift card when we come in to make up for the trouble that we have had. So we came in signed our papers and guess what when I asked for the gift card he said he couldn't give it to us as they took a loss!!! first lie right after we signed our note. Now we have our first trip out with a freezing cold front that came thru and our hot water heater goes out on the first night. My husband made an appointment to bring it in on a Wednesday to have it checked as we had another camping trip planned and they said they couldn't look at it for two weeks, My husband said why didn't you tell me this and have me make and appointment and drive 1 hour away. So my husband told them we had a trip planned and we were leaving on Friday and they had to look at it. After he had a few words the finance manager told him to go have lunch and he would take care of it. After 3 hours he got a call to come get the trailer as it was fixed. 2nd trip- on the first night turned it on and it worked for maybe two hours that we know of and didn't work all weekend after that. this was in January on Martin Luther King day and we drove straight back from our trip right to Camping World and dropped it off for the 2nd time. Never heard anything from anyone till exactly 2 weeks. They said it is the exnision on the hot water heater that is bad and they have to order a new one. So now this is going to be 3 weeks that they have this and still nothing. We have had unusual cold weather and so my husband drained the water out of the trailer so that it wouldn't brake any lines. When my husband said to make sure that they add water before they do anything and George said that they are not responsible for anything if anything freezes or if they don't add water. My trailer has been in there more that we have used it. Very discouraged and disappointed.

Camping World in Midway, Florida - Bait n switch and argumentive

Thought we had a deal, at closing they wanted to add $2k to price because we wanted to pay in cash. They said they get a kick back from bank if they get customer to finance which they said they pass onto customer. Then said do the loop hole, apply for the finance, we get the kick back, you get the $2k discount and pay it off before first payment so no interest fee. What a scam!
