Product and Service of Camping World where bought

I am writing this letter in hopes that Camping World will step up to the professional standard that they portray. I have over 670 followers on my facebook page and over 540 on another facebook page entitled “Two VT Girls On An Adventure”. I also belong to many RV sites that also have a lot of followers. They are all interested on how this will end. On November 9, 2017 I bought a slightly used 2017 Grand Design 357 BHS from Camping World in Bartow Florida. I had been researching RVs for a year and decided that the 5th wheel Grand Design was the best one for my needs. A friend and I were going to travel the US for a year. Being 2 women, we wanted to have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. I inspected the camper minus the LCI 3.0 system and the gas line from one tank to the other. I gave them a punch list along with asking that the camper be checked over for anything else and that the unit would be cleaned. There was a recall on the unit, so I could not pick it up as planned. They called and explained that once they had the part, they would call me to set up an appointment to come get the RV. I asked that a keyless entry also be installed. They did do that. I was called and made an appointment just before Thanksgiving. The person delivering the unit came out to greet us. He started showing us some things about the RV. I did mention that they did not clean the RV very well and he stated they don’t get them all that clean, just the little stuff. He also showed us how to empty the black tanks and the grey tanks. While doing some of that he received a call stating that his next delivery was here. He was upset that they were here, and he had to driven with me yet. So instead of being rushed thru I told him, I would not have a problem rescheduling a time to pick up the RV. I did ask him to have them flush out the tanks since it was used. That was not done either. It was running into Thanksgiving, so I scheduled it for after December 1. We set up the appointment for 5 days into the future. When I got there, the RV still had not been cleaned, nor were the tanks cleaned out. When I got there, he had me back up the truck and hooked to the RV. He could not get the LCI 3.0 system to work and went in to get a battery pack because he stated that battery was dead. He said he overrode the mistake on the LCI system and brought up the levelers. We rode around the park and the street around it for some practice. He never showed me anything else in the camper and said we were good to go. I had to go in and pay for the keyless entry and when I came out he was getting his battery pack out of where the battery was. He said he almost forgot it. Told us good luck and sent us on our way. My ride home was two hours away. When I arrived home and ready to use the LCI 3.0 system, it would not work. I called Camping World, but they were closed. I called LCI and they said to check the voltage in the battery. When I went to check the battery, the cables were not attached, the battery box and screws were all over the place and of course the battery exhaust was not attached. I had to park my new 5th wheel attached to my truck in the Walmart parking lot. The next day I called Camping World and stated I wanted a new battery, the keys to my unit, (they did not give me the outside keys) and for them to come out to fix my LCI 3.0 leveling system. They sent someone out. It took him almost 2 hours to try and reset the system. Finally, after many attempts and phone calls it worked. But the problem was not solved because I went to move it on December 31 to a camping area, I had problems with it again. Two other people came to our rescue, but they had a very hard time getting it to work. When I got to our first destination, we again had trouble but were able to fix it by looking it up on youtube. It got very cold there and that’s when we discovered that Camping World did not even fill the tanks. The main problem with that was the gas line was also defective. Doesn’t Camping World check over problems before selling a unit? I think NOT! We were in Lafayette LA and we could not get the right front leveler to move. Nothing was working so I decided we would get someone out to help get the levelers all up and get to somewhere, where someone could help us fix this once and for all. I called Camping World twice, (not the one in Bartow) but the local one and they never called back. I called a few places, and everyone was booked up. We went to Alamo Texas where there was a certified technician who could help us immediately. I told him of the problems I have been having with this unit since I got it. He was on the phone for many times with LCI (Luppert) trying to help us. They told them I should really have two batteries running this unit. That is was the battery always giving us trouble. Well, if that is the case why isn’t it sold with two? The technician hooked up the second battery and was able to reset the LCI system. Everything is level and hopefully fixed. The real test will be this Friday when we got to hook up and when we get to our destination. When my technician was here, he tried calling camping world for several days and spoke with one of the managers who said he would talk to another manager and get back to him. Of course, he never did. Back on January 17th I called Camping World Cooperate. They gave me an email acknowledging my concerns and gave me a case number 728814 but I have yet to hear from someone. How rude and unprofessional is that? I did send a letter to Grand Design a few days ago but have not heard back. I spent 1. 130.00 for a service call in Lafayette LA 2. 150.00 for a new additional battery 3.65.00 for battery box and cables 4.216.00 for gas line, regulator and parts for faulty propane gas line 5.600.00 in labor (which he gave me a break on because of all the problems I was having) I have paid out more than $1000.00 on repairs that should have been corrected before I took it home. This letter is hoping that someone will stand up and do the right thing and reimburse me for these repairs that I should not have had to do when I just bought the unit a few months ago. You can reach me by email or phone number. Email is Tangolegz@yahoo.com and my phone number is 802-881-5544. I have been on the phone constantly with LCI since taking possession of this unit. I have been on the phone leaving messages with Camping World many times and my service technician has also. You people do not even have the professionalism it takes to call back. That is very disappointing. I have read many bad reviews about Camping World by many people, but I did not believe it. Let’s see if its true. This letter will be going to Grand Design Cooperate, LCI, Camping World Cooperate and Camping World in Bartow Florida. Look forward at least to a phone call. Thank you in advance for any consideration you give this.

Camping World in Berkley, Massachusetts - No customer service

Do not deal with Campers World . Once you buy the camper they want nothing to do with you. They are rude and unsupportive . There is no communication among them. They promise to return calls and never do. It takes months on end to get parts in . Sometimes you are waiting and the part hasn’t been ordered . I had to call the corporate office to get a simple repair done .After waiting for it for 4 months ...Suddenly my part was in . Stay away from them! They lost a customer and don’t care. I will never deal with them again

Camping World - Bought rv in January 2017, sales team was great, buying was

Buying was seamless, took it back this January for warranty work. Been there 4 weeks now, hasn't been touched. Was told it wouldn't take more than 2 weeks. Called and service rep said they had takttin too many units for repair and were overwhelmed. I asked how long did it take for you guys to figure this out. Probably because mine is warranty and they can't make as much money on my repairs!

When we agreed on what camper we wanted,it was a deal ok,we noticed some things wrong with, minor stuff, they said give them 1 week to fix problems,no big deal,a week later we did a final walk through and it wasn't the camper we bought, sales lady said yes it is,no it isn't we replied, our couch was creme and there was no washer/dryer in this unit so they realized they made a mistake,ok so they took us to our camper and of coarse the problems we noticed never got fixed,so we agreed to bring it back toward end of year to get fixed,no problem they said,we dropped it off in early October to take care of those issues and warranty issues, there was a bubble intruding out on front cap,was told it was a factory defect, warranty would fixit,ok piece of trim bowed out by fridge, warranty would handle it,and a seal on door, all of this was covered under warranty,2 weeks later they called and said we have a problem, the yard guy was moving it into building and hit a pole,I said stuff happens just fix it,we was told passenger side lower skirting was damaged,so we called several times to our advisor, well no one called us back, finally got ohold of someone, your server advisor doesn't work here no more, what was the issue with your camper,I said are you kidding me,so we told them the whole story over again, they called us in January said it was done, when we got there we waited 1.5 hours our camper was still not pulled around yet, then they took us to it,well all the warranty work was not fixed, the trim piece was stapled in,you could see the staples they wasn't even in all the way and they was exposed, and the wood trim was scraped on ground or something,it was worse after they fixed it,the front cap was repaired and it still has a bump sticking out,we was told originally that the passenger side got it hit, come to find out it was the drivers side,we have pics of damage, they put the wrong decal on it,ours was creme the one they put on was white, they said we didn't even fix that side, here is a pic of it,she said your right, there was overspray and glue on the side they replaced, and our door handle step was hanging off,it wasn't like that we said, here is a pic that's not even our handle,so we left it there and rick the service manager said he will personally handle this camper give him 2 weeks it would be done, month later I called, well guess what, rick no longer works there,2 service favors,1 service manager who we was dealing with no longer works there, you know what camping world you can keep my camper it's time for legal action,I've had enough,I would never ever recommend this place to know one, this is our 3rd new camper within 5 years and to get treated like this is disgusting

Camping World - Making incredible changes

4.8
Details
Apparently people have had numerous problems with Camping World in the past. The powers that be have listened and have been working hard the last several months to recruit MANY new people, including myself to come in and help not only make the company better, but to make the customers happy again. We look forward to hearing about all the upcoming great experiences and reading all the 5 star reviews to come. I have read countless old negative reviews that really emphasize just why Camping World is going through such extensive lengths to restructure and retrain staff. Again, from all of us here at Camping World, thank you for your unending support through those difficult times; and take releif in knowing that we will be here to take care of your families need for generations to come. Please feel free to continue to contact us with additional words of wisdon and suggestions.

Too bad, Ken, you sound like another closed minded individual who allows themselves to be so brainwashed that they can't see reality. Our experience so far with the Valencia Camping World has been stellar. Everyone over there has been helpful, outgoing, warm and friendly. From our sales guy Greg all the way through to the cashier. They have been proactively involved in our purchase, return phone calls and generally going above and beyond. Thanks to the staff over there for helping make this a better experience than we expected.

Camping World in Tyler, Texas - Repair/Service

1.8
Details
Bought 2017 Sanibel in April 2017. Went on the road for two months, a few things (fell apart). Needed parts and touch up paint after returning home. Took defective parts to service/parts department. Had a million reasons why they couldn't help me. Replacement parts took about 10 minutes to replace. Camping World wanted me to fill out warranty papers and bring RV to dealership. We all know how THAT works out. Ended up BUYING the needed parts, still in need of touch up paint. Complained to the Manager in charge that day, Left and haven't been back ! You would think after buying an $82K RV you could get a little service. NOT. I wouldn't buy holding tank sanitizer from this outfit ! PT

Camping World - Service personnel will NOT return calls or messages

2.0
Details
'The Camping World Employee manual must have a hard and fast rule - do not return phone calls to any customer or would be customer - ignore all messages, no matter what the message is. Same experience in North Carolina and in Texas. Total at different times over a period of several months: 23 messages left on phone calls-- about half voice mail messages and half left with reception operator and other personnel, 3 fax messages, more than 12 emails, to both Charlotte & near by town in North Carolina and Lubbock Texas CW Service departments - not one return call.ever received back on any of these efforts. . The only time I can talk to the person being called is to happen to make a call at at time that the person actually answers the call. I wouldn't keep trying if they weren't the only Winnebago dealer option in the geographic areas that I needed service.

Camping World - Sold unit out from under us

Camping World Indianapolis is unscrupulous and would never ever recommend them. We called on a unit, made a deposit and an appoitment to see the coach in person the next morning at 9am. Received a call from the sales manager saying that they had another interested party, but we informed him we had already given the salesman our cc info to hold the coach in our name, giving us the first refusal if we chose not to buy the coach. I will also add that we had cash in hand. With all that said, they flat out lied to us that the couple was there the same time we put our deposit down, later we found out that the sales manager lied to us because our salesman told us they didn’t see the coach until an hour after we put our deposit down. Long story short... our salesman quit Camping World because he said he wouldn’t work for liars and cheats, we got screwed out of a coach and now we get to let you all know what kind of people you are dealing with at Camping World and the sales team there. Make sure to ask for Zack, he’s the cheat, I mean Sales Manager.

Camping World - Run! Don’t go in.... please read all their terrible reviews

1.0
Details
I can not fully write or explain how terrible Camping World is. We bought a new motor home from the Camping World of Wentzville Missouri. *Upon pick up of unit, waited in store for 3 hours. They told us they were putting a special coating on it( but they said that just took 20min)... what we found out later on..was they switched out a stove in our unit. We then left with NO gas in tank! Thank God we saw a gas station! * Graphic on side was scratched.. its now almost a year.. we just got it! Mind you with a year of phone calls! *Service is a nightmare there! We Took unit in Nov... back in Feb. for Warranty work1/2 my verbal & written punch list was not done.. after 4 months. * Asked them to Check the propane tank and make sure there was propane in there because we were going out of town.. they assured me they did, they will, they could ...but guess what they never did and we ran out of heat one night when it was super cold just me & my teenage daughter. * when I called Camping World To troubleshoot this problem because it never occurred to me that I would not have propane after all the discussions we had had on it that they proceeded to troubleshoot me through this including why I did not have hot water... they told me to turn on my water heating element and see if it worked ...What they failed to do was do Was de-winterize my unit! I know now by someone else.. that there are three tiny Vals back behind ..underneath the sink ..down below by the water heater..that if you were a senior citizen or over weight ..there’s no way you could get yourself under the cabinet & get your arms through a tiny hole to try and feel for these three valves even if you knew they were there!! So they need turned on before you turn on your heating element, unless you’d like your heating element to burn up and your tanks to possibly crack .. which my did!! * So this is a Mess... there are so many areas of lack of incompetence..It’s really astounding including not cutting the tax check correctly and I myself over paid when I finance this through camping world. Found that out at our DMV when I went to our plates! This is a SMALL window into the problems we have had with Camping World! Run!!

Camping World Woodstock Ga. New Purchase

4.7
Details
I just purchased a new Jayco Feather 7... and it almost didn't happen. My previous encounter last year at this site was unpleasant to say the least. The sales manager at the time was rude and hateful and dismissed us from the property when I ask simple questions about inventory, and that I had purchased other RV's over the years from Camping World. He said, "So what, If you don't like it, you can take your *** down the road. There are other dealerships around. I did leave and never went back. In Feb of this year I received an email from Woodstock Ga. about a "RV Show Pricing" and to check it out. I did reluctantly, and looked at several units. To my amazement that person was no longer with the company. I was hooked up with the manager as well as Andrew Carter in sales. What a turn around! They actually cared. I found a unit that worked for us and made the purchase! Great Sales Manager and hats of to Andrew for a great experience. The only issue I saw was that the orientation was a little rushed. I would have liked to have had a little more time, but was very grateful he came in on his day off to assist. The team that installed the trailer brake on my truck and weight distribution and anti-sway hitch were amazing! They bent over backwards for us and made sure I totally understood the process and function. I give them a 10 on this go round! Well done.....TB Alpharetta Ga.
