Camping World - Great Service Advisor

Claudio R went to bat for us on the number of warranty issues we had on our 2017 Montana 5th wheel. He kept in touch with us throughout the 3+ month process of repairs being done and has gotten Chris the Service Manager involved with our warranty issues. We really appreciate his understanding regarding our issues.

Camping world nightmare

Our brand new mallard m33 trailer is currently in the shop for the third time in less than a year. The Rv is currently in the shop for a broken awning, manufacture recall on a light and a alignment issue. It will have been in the shop a month on the 15th only to be told the odd tire wear is our problem and now they can work on the other items. Really 3 weeks on one item than move to the next? Anyway the trailer is less than a year old, I'm guessing with less than 500 miles on it. How can this be our issue? And no clear reason has been explained to us. I leave voice messages with our service representative hoping for a call back only to get a email response. But this is what we are currently dealing with. Let me start from the beginning. 1st trip out 4 day weekend, fridge broke, scheduled for repair and trailer was fixed. The techs fixed the fridge but put *** in the flooring and broke the master door. 2nd trip out ,we noticed heater was not working right, removed maintenance door and noticed vent was not plumbed to anything just loose in the wall. Scheduled to have this repaired as well as the damages done during previous repair. We picked up the rig after repairs were made and were told the heater was fixed. I removed the maintenance door at camping world and the vent was still loose in the wall, what the heck we were flat out lied too. The tech ran the pipe through the wall in the parking lot and added a vent cover. Not even sure if that was correct but whatever. We still do not get heat in our center island. But we were happy to get trailer back and move on. 3rd trip out , noticed odd tire wear when pulled over at a rest stop , we decided to relax and have lunch opened awning and it would not come back in , dang it. I retracted the awning manually and we were on our way. Scheduled a service to have repaired and that's where we are at today. I'm being told the alignment is our problem and deal with it. Never again will I do business with this company

about three years ago me and my wife visit the one in Rossford oh we try to get a ran down use one in the 90"s to guide us through about rving we even had $5000k to down and a strong income verification and credit scores through the roof and still turn us down YES we are black so we like never mind they didn't want our little petty5k so I went back to the same location just in 12/2017 put 30k on the table they still could nt help I said to myself as I walk out with all that cash they SELL TO WHO THEY WANT TO SELL TOO my color green money is black and they don't want it. Look the owner of the company up online he look racist to me any fuccs cuz that's what they are in Racist Rossford RATS . BLACK PPL STAY AWAY THEY DONT WANT US IN THERE NEW OR USED RVS THE GREETING PPL THAT GREET YOU AT THE DOOR IS VERY FUNNY ACTING THE FINNACE DEPARTMEENT PPL THINK THEY BUILT THE PLACE GIVNG US CRAZY LOOKS LIKE YALL *** IS NOT GETTING INTO NONE OF THESE UNITS WE DONT CARE IF IT HAD A MISSING ROOF OR WHEELS YALL SO RACIST. This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered. Truly a nightmare. You would think after purchasing a 34,000 camper and buying an extended warranty that the company would go over and beyond for their customers when they have issues. I had simple repairs that needed done. It took two months to get my camper in and then they took over 2 1/2 to fix it. When I say simple I mean simple. 2 screws misses, a cracked board to the panel, excessive cocking, bent drawer. Every time I would call I would get the run around excuse after excuse. I would leave voicemails with no return calls. I have numerous emails with even more excuses. I’m so upset is because the Service Dept and Customer Service is HORRIBLE. On the brightside I should be grateful that it wasn’t anything major or I’d might not have my camper this year. I will never ever go back to camping world Columbus/London.

Bought new camper/trailer in Sept. 2017. Took on 2 week trip. Brought immediately into service afterwards. Has been at the dealer for repair for 21 weeks now. Have called dealer several times. Have talked to store and service managers.

Camping World - Service

Camping World of Breeze. Called for service appt they sid they were busy and scheduled me for 10 days later. Dropped camper off and called a few times for status - always sent to voice mail and they never called back. Drove by a few times since my calls were never answered and was told the RV was awaiting technician. Finally got frustrated and picked up RV 10 days later and took it some where else - problem fixed next day. When I picked up RV I was told they were still 2-3 weeks out in getting RV into service. Should not schedule an appt if they can not meet it. They asked if I was on road or lived in RV. Maybe if I answered yes I would have gotten some priority.

I am hoping we can sue them or join a Class Action law suit. Why are people not doing a Class Action law suit. We have heard hundreds and hundreds of cases just like this. It is abuse.

This is so unfair to us the consumer and these RV companies are taking advantage of us and getting away with it.

I would join a law suit in a heart beat. We should all get together and take them down.

Worst customer service ever. They promise you the moon until you sign paperwork and they get paid, then good luck getting anyone to help with issues!! Will never purchase from them again. Bought our unit at the Florida RV Supershow. Never received all the correct paperwork on the unit and their excuse is that the manufacturer Rep with Forest River took 2 bins with all the keys, paperwork, remotes and they are "at his mercy" trying to get all the stuff from him!!! Really?? If he is not responding to you and you think you are at his mercy, remember even he has a boss! why hasn't anyone reached out to him???

As an update, it has now been another month of no resolution to these issues with this Camping world. No one has made any attempt to resolve this.

Buyer beware!

If you go to this Holiday Florida location (actually any location owned by camping world after reading others reviews) you deserve what you get. Worst company I have ever dealt with.

Camping World - POOR repair service

We purchased a new 2016 Forest River Class C 3051S motor home from Camping World in Hanover PA. after having it for a few months our in dash radio/ nav/ dvd player would cut in and out so we called to set up an appointment to have it repaired. Now my wife and I both work and Hanover is about 1-1/2 hours from our home. So we both had to take off work to deliver our rig to you to repair it. After not hearing anything for almost two weeks we called and found out that just days ago it was pulled in to look at. At that point it was confirmed that unit was damaged and a new one would be ordered. This could take up to 4 weeks to get in. So we just bought a new motor home and cant use it because of a warranty issue. We were also told that we could pick up our rig and use it untill the new parts come in. Lets think this through that would be 3 more days of my wife and i taking off work to get it and drop off again when the parts come in. So in reality in the first 6 months we have this you have it fo two months. oh well things happen move on. Now for the real unhappiness In June of 2017 we are getting ready to head to Maine for a 10 day trip. As we pull out of our home we start getting wet as our bunk over the cab is pouring water out all over the driver /passenger areas. so as we are driving my wife is dabbing water up with towels. When we get to our destination Which because of this was not that enjoyable of a journey. We set up removed the mattress put two small fans on the bunk area and the mattress. We make the best of our Maine trip and head home. After we are home we call Camping World in Harrisburg PA because of the last time the Harrisburg location is only 50 minutes for us.We are told that they are so busy that they can not get us in until early September. which we agreed to. One week before we are to take it for repair we see that Hersey camping show is going so we head there. While there we meet up with a Eastern region Forest River rep. We tell him our dilemma. And he tells us that this leak can come from either the window being installed wrong or something with the sealant at the clearance lights. Either way Forest River will good will the repair to us. So the next week I investigate and actually see where the water is coming in at the window and I duct tape the whole window to protect it from any further damage. now knowing that the repair could take weeks I call and bump our appointment until 11/3/17 because we didn't want to miss September and October which are prime camping months. Now we bring our motor home to Harrisburg on 11/3/17 per our appointment and tell your service manager everything that has happened just as i have written to you. 6 weeks go by we hear nothing. I call to find out how its going thinking we should be able to pick it up soon. The reply i get is the parts were ordered 12/4/17. My unit has been there for 1 month and then the parts are ordered???(FIRST PROBLEM) Okay so i now check in two weeks later and get no parts have come in yet. I keep checking in to hear the same reply. Fast forward to 1/7/18 we decide to stop in to talk to someone about this. But first i go in the back lot to see where my motor home is being stored and see the tape has been removed and no plastic or tarp over the leak area??? (SECOND PROBLEM). We then proceed to go in to talk to our service manager who is off that day. We ask if there is anyone we can talk to about our parts and we are directed to The warranty parts person. who was as helpful as she could be. She confirmed that the parts were indeed ordered on 12/4/17 gave us the PO number. We already had the Forest River Warranty rep number to call but she said that Forest River takes a long holiday break and probably wouldn't be back until mid week. I'm sure this is not the first holiday season you have been through with Forest River and Parts. I too deal with pre engineered building manufacturers that have extended holiday breaks. And we know when the cut off dates are so we can get orders in by so we can keep our customers in the loop to avoid situations like this.(THIRD PROBLEM). On 1/13/18 we went to the Allentown PA rv show and spoke with a Forest River Rep who apologized for the parts delay. He took down our number and said he would look into our parts. on 1/15/18 my wife received a call that our parts were shipped and should be in Harrisburg by 1/16/18. But no one ordered a new mattress. When we questioned the service manager about this he said OH you want a new one. (FORTH PROBLEM) (Really). On 1/16/18 we received a call for your parts girl saying our parts came in. Then on 1/18/18 the service manager calls and tells us that the parts came in. Oddly enough there desks are less then 20' apart and it takes 2 days to travel that far? Now its Monday 1/22/18 one week since the parts came in and we get a call telling us they started working on our unit and found more damage that will need more parts. (FIFTH PROBLEM) I nearly lost it. You mean to tell me in the month of November that it was sitting up there and with the detailed explanation on what was happening This is where we are? Now that we are to today and you have been paid in full for this unit and i am paying monthly payments, insurance and also having my motor home depreciate faster than it would being on your lot getting snowed on every week and not in my back yard where it would be covered all winter including the tires.Not to mention not knowing when we will get it back! I do know that we are booked for a trip in the end of March. At this rate even that is questionable. As far as I'm concerned you struck out a few problems back. Now is the time to maybe salvage what is left of a very damaged customer relationship. Also I expect the repair to look like a new unit. If not I will not except it and I don't think either one of us wants to see what step would be next. I trust you will do the right thing. This complaint went unanswered and today 3/13/18 again we hear that even more parts must be ordered. We are at almost six months

I have already made one complaint. I want to make sure I am heard. Having buying a second camper from camping world and being very disappointed I feel someone needs to take action. I am under the impression that camping worlds main and possible only goal is to sale campers! Sale you a camper and not care about the customer after that. We went into camping world knowing what kind of camper we wanted. The salesman being a salesmen tried his best to sale us on him. Well we learned after, just what we were told (by an employee of camping world) that their main and only goal is to sale a camper. Well being a very big company and not really having to care about your customers, I am sure does not bother you. Eventually enough customers will get it out there, how you do business. A brand new camper, having paid going on 3 payments and it has not even been in our possession more than a couple weeks. NOT consecutive weeks at that! New camper came to us not fully equipped with valves and fuses that it was suppose to have, also came with a leak. Not being fixed the first time, we take it camping and have the same problem, then being told by the service person they sent us it was never even fixed the first time (they had it over a month) now our second camping trip is again ruined. WE don't get to enjoy a camping trip, we have to spend our time at camping world yet again! This is ridiculous and we are sick of it. The lies and the promised phone calls. We will NEVER do business here again. People that camp get the word out to other campers, eventually people will know camping world does NOT care about its customers but only how much money they can get.

Called and made an appointment. Never did business with camping world before. From the first phone call to the end of the install, I was impressed with how kind and knowledgeable they were. I drove an hour to Belleville Michigan for service due to price. I will drive back should I need work done again. I was informed every step of the way. I expected subpar customer service. What my wife and I received was top notch customer care. I’ve been in customer service for 23 years and respect businesses that know how to treat customers. THANK YOU
