When the dealer where we bought our travel trailer was fully booked for service, the manufacturer's warranty team suggested Camping World of Oakwood, GA. We are so happy they did. The service team at Camping World of Oakwood is great. They take on the tough jobs including coordinating warranty issues with the manufacturer. They do what they say they will do when they say they will do it. They keep you informed. The service writer, Natalie, the technician, Tod, and the service manager, Craig stayed engaged until the problem was fixed. Not only do they say they understand that time in the shop is not why you bought an RV, they act like it. We will be repeat customers. JM

Camping World in Cocoa, Florida - Defective 2016 Heartland Mallard

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing in regards to a 2016 Heartland Mallard Travel Trailer we purchased new from Camping World in Cocoa Florida on Feb. 12,2016. We loved the Mallard layout and we love being able to get away occasionally for short trips. Being that we are of modest income and I am still working this was a way my husband and I could afford to take mini vacations at our convenience at a price we could afford. However soon after our purchase we quickly faced with numerous defects and repairs. Feb. 29, 2016 brought in for repairs Black and Grey tanks were reading backwards found wires at panel were reversed camping world repaired. A/C in living room ceiling vent did not rotate 160 degrees it was a failed part camping world repaired and camper was ready for pick up a week later. Oct 2016 brought in RV for a recall on front end cap led lights and entry door was delaminating promise date was Nov 14 2016 new door came in defective so we picked up RV after several weeks and they were going to call when door came in. In December RV was brought back in door was replaced and at that time we noticed there was no heat in bathroom -ducting was not attached, shower door and shower door trim comes off while in travel (camping world said that was by design). Screen door would not stay closed camping world repaired Dining room slide out had water damage exterior D-seal had come unattached and moved down it was in shop 6 weeks before we finally got hold of shop manager (Bruce Thompson) at camping world after numerous non-returned calls my husband had to make a trip there and picked up RV. There was issue with parts ordered form Heartland all work was not completed. It was another four weeks before the door was finally replaced. At that time, we also mentioned the same slide out that was supposed to been repaired previously had panel delaminating and bubbling on the inside and leaks on entertainment center. The trim was also split. We sent numerous pictures to the manufacturer and also to camping world. In May 2017 after several months of calls to Heartland and camping world the slide out wall and trim was repaired or so we thought. In January of 2018 we noticed the same slide out that was supposed to have been fixed was either leaking again at the entertainment center or they never fixed as the wood and floor around the entertainment center was wet and swollen slide out was still leaking!! Camping world has refused to pay as they say it is out of warranty they want us to pay for pressure tests and repairs even though it was under warranty when we first reported the leak. Camping World advised us to call Heartland. My husband called to Heartland and spoke with Dustin whom he talked with numerous times and Dustin said that Heartland was paid for the repair work and needs to repair correctly. We finally got a hold of Camping World, once again we were told to bring in our RV, we dropped it off the 1st of March 2018 -they agreed to do a pressure test. After numerous un-returned calls, we were told by Leslie the service writer that the pressure test showed numerous leaks-1) the front-end cap and lights which camping world replaced earlier 2) leak on slide out-which they repaired paneling and trim twice and 3) leak on window same slide out-probably the cause of previous repairs. In the past they repaired when it was all on warranty but never sought out the cause of the leaks. Now they are saying that being that the warranty is up they will not pay for repair even though it is exactly the same type of problem. We are at our wits end and have exhausted all measures, I am afraid that we are in a rock and hard place as we owe money on this defective camper and I don’t want further damage to occur. I don’t feel we should pay for repairs because when the problem was first reported the RV was under warranty and evidently, they never sought out the cause of the problem just repaired over it. It seems our RV has spent more time at Camping World then we have been able to spend time enjoying. We have had to cancel numerous reservations to parks. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I just don’t know where else to turn. Fed up and disappointed! Sincerely, B.C

Camping World in Vacaville, California - Refund of Good Sam extended warranty

I called Campworld to cancel my extended warranty twice no one has called me back so I drive up there to resolve the issues and no one wants to help me! It’s a shame that all the posts I’ve been looking at were people that can’t get through this and get there refund without any problem. Is there any law suits against Camp world for this matter? Because it’s been two days already and I’m not waiting ninety days till I get my money back. Camp world services are not looking good for them.

Will never shop/ buy rv from camping world again

A: They charged me $350 to totally prepare my new to me camper for camping. When I used it the first time, it 1) had no propane. It was 45* at night. 2) was COMPLETELY MISSING a leveling jack. 3) the toilet leaked. 4) the vent fan didn't work. 5) the water tank had no plug. I spent somewhere in the realm of 2 hours over the space of 3 months on the phone attempting to get my money back. I got the run around. I spoke to a dozen people. Not one person admitted to being able to help me. Someone else would always be the answer. I received many promises on call backs. Got two actual phone calls. Finally, to be done, I said i would settle for 100 dollar gift card to Camping World. Never received it. I gave up. Fast forward 3 months. I called to get the work done on warranty. Was told the work would take 6-8 weeks. Clearly the goal is to not have anyone claim warranty. I hate camping world. It is a den of thieves and scam artists.

I too hate camping world we bought a brand new camper it's been in service more than our possession they lie..they are incompetant

I purchased a C class in March. Returned in may for simple warranty repairs like zip tying and checking A/C.

They did not do a thorough pre-delivery check either. The RV is in the shop going on 3 weeks at Camping World. The CEO should make more of an effort in quality assurance after the purchase. Not even a card or phone call to ask about my $100k purchase.

Plan is to unload this RV and trade up as soon as possible and buy from private buyer. Less risk.

I will never buy a thing at camp world than are try to get me to buy there trailer and I haven’t sign main contract!. So than are try to get money out of my checking account put Iam trying to stop it, if think I won’t fight back I will I see a lawyer and report it to the police and the tv station. I am not let this go!

Camping World in Byron, Georgia - Order status

After few days i checked an order status and it's not ready for delivery yet, why takes so long for an order that comes by standard mail? Other companies takes no more than 5 days to delivered, also why the item on your web site is so low compare to store pick up (-/+ $60 online to $120 in store) with Camping World, I understand overhead but this is ridiculous.

I purchased a trailer from Camping world Tulsa. The first trip out my tounge jack broke, it took an act of congress to get someone to help. My family took a long trip and lost my running lights an made it to a campground, calling good sam road service they said it was no longer an emergency and I could drive 50 miles to have it looked at. During that trip my outside refrigerator door blew off. Last step for them was I was going to take it to get checked out for the warranty and if I made an appointment it take two days. Thanks for nothing Camping World.

Camping World - Worst Company ever!

my family and I purchased a brand new 2018 heartland pioneer travel trailer. On our third trip the toilet stopped working, the window blew out on the highway, and the inside was soaked due to a malfunctioning seal. camping world in Lakewood New Jersey has had the camper for four months and it is still not fixed. When we went to pick it up two months ago they told us it was fixed and there was *** in the slide allowing the outside elements into the cabin, you can see right through it. The new window that blew out was in two weeks ago and they still have not touched it and refuse to return my call and my family and I are supposed to leave on vacation in two weeks. Not only was the product that they sold inferior but their service department has no clue what they are doing and they do not know anything about customer service you can’t even get somebody to return a phone call. Anybody reading this please do not purchase anything from this company go anywhere else!

My mother was looking for a bumper pull for full time RV living. I found one on the website but was informed that one had been sold. Salesman said he had one on consignment that might fit her needs, so we drove 2hrs to see it. When we get there were told it's a 2008 model (title later arrives, it's a 2007). It's been used, but we're assured that it has been inspected and everything works. We agree on a price, and I haul it home. After filling the fresh water tank the bedroom carpet is soaked. The water pump never shuts off, and the system always has air in it. Also, there's mold in a corner of the bedroom on the carpet. My son wanted to spend the night, pulled out the sleeper love seat, only to find the back side covered in rodent droppings. Fully inspected and cleaned my *** Don't get me wrong, I went in expecting to be screwed to a certain extent, but a little foreplay would've been nice.
