Camping World - Terrible

RV world is more like it... went there several times looking for items for tent camping. Counldnt even order me the products i wanted thank god for cabelas... will never go back or recomend this place is hortible!!!!

I received an email about items on sale. I went to Belleville store. No price on shelf for Protect all fiberglass oxidation remover. Had to wait at register. Employee walked past me. Another paged her back. I told her no price on it or shelf. She argued with me telling me Im wrong. Shelf can be seen from register. No price on it. Then she overcharged me for it. Sale says 14.19 was charged 15.99. This store has had poor service for years. But now it's worse. I will take my business elsewhere. PS lot is full of holes to dodge.

Bought from camping world in Beaumont Az in oct 2016 I have had the trailer at dealership on repair list for over 16 months order wrong parts so today 5 April 2018 RV still sitting at dealership tore apart for face plate cupboard I been paying almost year half slept in unit 2 times Called corporate and guess what they have Beaumont dealership call me they are the problem not the solution won’t ever call ya back for 3 weeks been trying to get ahold service advisor he never has called back talk to someone said they could accommodate the use but won’t be able to use cupboards how stupid pay this much have plywood cover over cupboards cause can’t use Brand new unit and I am the problem cause 18 months is my fault and still not fixed Please tell anyone you know read the blogs before buying from camping world if you want to be a happy camper My compensation was be patient it’s only been over a year they build a brand new complete RV in over a week Don’t become a victim to poor service customer service and *** poor overall service bye buying from Beaumont camping world Beaumont AZ

Paid a 1000 dollars to have it delivered and a month goes buy and we notice *** in the roof!!!!! We where wondering why all the water was running down inside of front window and that's why!!! Called and talked to manager and told him, he wasn't even concerned about it!!! Never got back to me!!!! So we have a brand new 63,000 dollar camper with *** in the roof!!!! Called finance company and told them about it and keystone , they both have pictures of it.

Dover fl camping world is the worst service i have encountered in my 73 years. we pd 15000 cash for a unit late aug. we have used it once because they have had it more than we have. THIS IS THE TRUTH

it has cracks on the outside which they fixed but never buffed out, it is lie upon lie. now they say it is not in warranty. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE ??? i so want to call 8 on your side or a lawyer. its always in 2 days ...in 3 days ...on and on and on. they have had it in total for 2 1/2 months. did you sell us a lemon. i will never recommend a starcraft product to anyone. before we could even use it there was something wrong with the fridge,,the bathroom door...the crack in the unit...the thermostat...the hot water. there has been no joy with this substantial investment. not a nice way to treat seniors who initially believed this lying bunch. barbara and frank maieritsch

We have been loyal Camping World Shoppers and Good Sam Life Members for years but dealing with this company recently has become almost impossible. Cannot get anyone to answer a parts line when calling at the Katy Texas location, when questioning the operator was advised that due to high volume of RV sales they are busy with readying RV's and that new RV's have priority and will have to call me back. Really? Long time RV owners are second rated??? Called for two days several times, never got a call back. Advised operator I was just needing to know if part in stock or online only, could not assist. Had to go to website to order, called first to verify if part in stock, who shipped, shipped from and time frame as part needed within 2 weeks. Was advised no problem, placed order (almost 500.00), then waited for confirmation as was advised should be within 24 hrs. Called back (48 hrs) later and advised that request sent to the warehouse, not shipped yet, they do not ship on Saturdays and that maybe by Monday would get an email with a confirmation/tracking number and that another 5-7 business days for receipt. This was the third call just to get that information. The other service reps. would not give me these details all they keep repeating was orders could take 14 days, then 21 days, etc. It was like they were reading from a script. This last time I advised of the time frame issue, girl advised request is to warehouse now can't even cancel the order at this point and that "sorry but company policy" whatever that is suppose to mean. Goodness is this the wave of the future? If so then Good Sam needs to reevaluate their relationship.

I am very displeased with recent service. I called and ordered over $4k of suspension upgrade parts and made an appointment to have them installed. One particular item was Sumo Springs. Long story short, Dropped off the RV and they installed everything but the Sumo Springs ,stating they would not fit due to a brace the was in the way. I contacted Sumo and was sent pictures and a video showing that the parts could be installed. I sent them to my service writer. It is clear in the picture that the springs could be installed and the brace was not an issue. The service writer then called me back and said there was nothing he could do because that mechanic was the only one they had qualified to do the installing that per the instructions they would not fit. I guess in reality I'm glad he didn't install them with an outlook like that. Guess Ill be taking all my buisness elsewhere from now on. I'm calling the service manager tomorrow and at least getting back the freight they charged me on this order.

I just had my Airstream in for a Dometic air conditioner repair. The air conditioner works now. Thanks. I WILL SAY HOWEVER!!! You all were pretty hard on my Airstream. 1. My Hitch ( a Pro-Pride) is a bit complex, but I see you moved my trailer by hoisting with the safety chains. That dented my hitch and made it harder to operate. 2. My power cord now has a broken screw ring. WTF? 3. I requested the seals and to be inspected on the top of my Airstream There is a dent on top of the Airstream now where someone stepped off the Frame and onto the sheet metal top. Honestly, I am disappointed. What should I do with you. An sincere apology would help. Without one I will spend the rest of my life sharing this experience Bob Tedrow Birmingham, Alabama

Camping World - Shady business practices and blatant lies

My wife and I pre-coordinated the purchase of an 5th wheel trailer from the Lowell AR Camping World store via email, making an "OUT THE DOOR" offer which was supposedly accepted by the general manager. My wife and I took the day off work and drove 4 hours from OKC OK to the Lowell AR Camping World store and meet with the "sales professional". We did the normal pre-sale paperwork, took a rushed walk-thru of the trailer and then obtained our own insurance before meeting with sales manager. As I mentioned, we made an "Out the Door" offer for our trailer and we were led to believe that the trailer price included the OK tax and registration, before being convinced that we "needed" the protection packages (another scam). I didn't find out that I had been screwed until I went to register the trailer in OK and learned that NO TAX had been paid at all, so I was stuck with another $2200+ for tax and registration. What irritates me is that while I should have done more research into the "protection packages" to understand what they do and do not cover, I was blatantly lied to about the tax and registration fees being included. Ultimately I am solely responsible for understanding each and every line on the contract that I signed so I hold myself as accountable as I do in accusing the staff of Camping World of shady and unscrupulous business practices. When I confronted the general manager about the offer being in writing and that I was consulting an attorney he flat out said to "go right ahead, I have a signed contract". And after watching the Youtube view "Camping World; The truth" I whole heartedly believe that they deal with this so much that they already have a well stocked legal staff on hand and it would cost me more to fight this issue than walk away. My only justice is in knowing that I will be spending a greater amount of time informing people not to do business with Camping World and that the money lost on the sale pails in comparison in the amount of money in all the upgrades and accessories I had planned on buying from them over time. My wife and I are avid RV's and we had sold all of our equipment, along with our RV a couple years ago when we moved to OK. Now that we've purchased a new RV I've already spent nearly half the $2200 in items that we wanted from eTrailer.com. We had also planned on adding a Cummins Onan generator in the next month or two and I'm just glad I didn't have Camping World install it too as I had originally planned. What Camping World obviously doesn't care about is follow on service and sales of equipment. A customer spends a lot of money on the initial purchase of their RV, and while I'm sure CW makes a huge margin on those, they have to be making a lot in sales of accessories too. And that is where I hope more people turn away from doing business with them too. I did some price checking and found the same items at the same price or just pennies higher from eTrailer.com and Amazon Prime, both of which offered free shipping so I actually came out ahead. In the mean time I have already contacted the Arkansas Tax Commissioner, BBB and plan to initiate action to retrieve the money spent on the extended warranty, along with contacting the OK Attorney General Consumer Protection Division regarding.

Same thing with me.. they get your money and try getting a return call when you need answers ..

never would I recommend this place ever again.

Trying to figure what a switch goes to hmmm 2 years later and still no clue. Not a happy camper but I guarantee my second time will be from another dealer!!
