Don't Purchase anything from Camping World

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I purchased a 2014 motor home from Camping world of Lakewood Nj July 29 2017, well let me begin, The first thing I will start with is I was charged $2995.00 for paint protection I did not agree to, I purchased a extended warranty for $ 4995.00 and was told that I would never pay more then $50 .00 for any repair when I read the contract it said it was $ 100.00 dollars not $50.00. Then I asked for a refund on the paint protection, Frank Davis the General Manager said a check would be issued to the bank. well that never happened he said it must have been lost in the mail, so another check was issued to the bank on Sept 29th 2017 well on Saturday Oct, 7th 2017 I recieved a letter from the bank that the check bounced and my name was put in collections. I called Frank Davis , and he never returned my call which he never does. I called corporate Headquarters and was told they would get back to me, this needs to be resolved today Monday Oct, 9th 2017 , I will take a copy of the check and the letter from the bank to the Sheriffs Dept. and file a formal complaint about Fraud. I await your response.

Liars and thieves who will rip you off.If you let them.

Was in the process of trading up a beautiful, hardly used in exc.cond.travel trailer . When I was about to purchase, my trade value was lowered by $3,000 because "we (camping world) have to bring it up to trade quality". My coach is in exc.cond.and just inspected by a local rv dealer.Brakes/tires 90%.First thing I was told was "brakes and tires need replacement $700 ". Liars. "coach needs to be vacuumed $300" (I recently had it cleaned and detailed). "Complete inspection is needed, $500"(I just had it completely inspected before trading it). All these charges would be deducted from my trade valuation. More miscellaneous charges would be added and deducted from trade valuation, including $1,000 labor. DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED $$$ AT CAMPING WORLD.You have been forewarned.Do not upset your children by finding what you want only to be lied to, by a company that does questionable tactics. Camping world lies to your FACE.

Completely agree with all you said here. Two years after I bought our 2016 Outback and still being told I overpaid by $10k.

Didn’t know any better back then. Delivery inspection also revealed multiple issues (leaks, broken cabinet doors, malfunctioning plumbing, etc. So bad they didn’t even put air in the tires.

Checked them when I got home and found all four were 20 pounds low. I am sorry you went through this too.

$300 to vacuum? I'll do it for $275,

Taking too long

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I bought a new trailer has a roof leak resulting in damage to a wall. Called had to wait two weeks to bring it in on 3/24/18. Emailed them on 3/31 to check on progress was told it hasn't made it into the shop. Question is how long to I have to wait to have my trailer fixed and returned? I thought a roof leak would be fix asap warranty work is taking too long.

Warantee parts taking 2 months to ship!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This is unacceptable! My 6 month old camper needs a circuit board for the hot water heater and they try to tell me it’ll take 2 months before they get the part! How am I supposed to use my brand new camper if it doesn’t have hot water? If I wanted to tent camp, I would have saved my $20,000! This is horrid. It took me 10 phone calls and they are now telling me I HAVE TO PAY FOR EXPIDITED SHIPPING!!! Do not buy from camping world! They must have a horrible relationship with their manufacturer for such terrible turn around for parts!

I have never been SO disgusted by a company and it's business practices. I need supplies to finish restoring an old camper, caulk, vinyl tape ect...and spent almost $110.

When I got home I realized the 3 tubes of white caulk were wrong and I pick up black and beige. I returned to the store the next day to exchange them. NO PROBLEM I'm told at the counter just get the correct ones. This is where it turns UGLY.

Do you have your receipt?.... No I'm just exchanging these for the correct color, she rings them in and they ring up for significantly less than what I paid for the day before.....I question this and I'm told the price went up yesterday morning....Ok I purchased them in the evening and paid the current price.....then I'm told I had to pay the difference to get the correct product. $10.50 MORE. I should have taken the originals and gone home to get the receipt, but I had to have them.

I was very calm but I signed the CC receipt with a FoUr letter word and a sheep. Now day 3, I take both receipts back to CW and the coward behind the counter that tried to screw me the day before ran for the back room and did not come back, a new sales girl asked if she could help me and I showed her the receipts and gave her the short story. She was very confused why they would do that.....we double checked all the prices and made sure they was correct. Now for my refund, as she rings everything up a very young man comes out and stands beside her and starts staring at me.

I ask if I can help him and he tells me He's the "acting" manager.....I grin to myself and say yes, you are "acting"...I ask the "acting" manager if he is aware of the mistakes his company has made ....(crickets)....I then ask why he is not the one ACTively not fixing the problem....at this point he looks like a scared virgin at the high school prom. My sales associate savor gives me the refund and as I go to sign the receipt it's still not right but this time to my favor, I explain I'm not trying to screw the company like they tried to do me the day before...

"ACTING" manager tries to crawl under the desk. My savor says don't worry and have a great day sorry for the problem.

Camping World Service means no service!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I took my 2007 Fleetwood Discovery into the Camping World in Gulf Breeze, FL on November 18. There were several items not working that should be covered under the extended warranty bought from Good Sam. Forty seven days later, not one item has been fixed. No parts have been ordered. The diagnostics were sent to parts on December 9 for pricing. The pricing clerk is not able to find prices for two minor items and at least 3 items have been discontinued. They have no idea what they will do to resolve those issues. One item I was able to call Fleetwood parts today and get a price. According to Matt at Camping World, policy is to only deal with THEIR Fleetwood parts person. Camping World policy is not to contact Assurance, the warranty company, until all part prices have been received. WHAT? If I had known no work would be done on my RV for 3-4 months, I would not have taken it there. I am going to attempt to go get it this weekend so it can sit in my driveway while they figure out how to order new rollers for the shower doors. Camping World Service Centers need new policies that benefit customers and not themselves! Very dissatisfied!

Waste of time and brain cells

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Terrible experience. I will never send anyone there or even think of stepping foot on there yard. There sales and acc department are not qualified to do there jobs. I chose a camper and did there credit app. Waited and had to call sales man to see what was going on, had to send the deposit he said, okey what are the bank info? Way latter after I couldn’t do the transfer that day I get the info. Next day they need more info and papers!!! Really why didn’t the sales person tell me in the first place, so hot him the info. Keep in mind we are in the process of moving. Next day they tell at 16:50 o we need more info???? Really. And then say it’s the bank!! If they had any brains they would have had me get all the info they might need. Told them I am canceling the deal and now it is impossible to get my deposit back, they feed ing me bull. And won’t return calls. So please do your self a favor and don’t go there or let anyone you know either. Thanks. The pissed off South Africain.

I planned to go to Camping World today

But with all the negative reviews I’m afraid to. I’ve been wanting a new motor home for some time now . But with such a big purchase I have to do more research now.

I will never buy from them again

I wouldn't buy from them, they gave us the run a round when it came to financing for about 2 weeks. Put a trailer on hold and was told to look at it but it was 2 hours away.

Drove to look at it but it mysteriously disappeared. Went back to the original dealer and they couldn't find it either.

Told us to leave cause they couldn't get us a loan in a stern tone.. they literally wasted my time and money and offended us.

Worst Service After The Sale Ever

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We have had our camper in for service for 4 months and after being told that they were waiting for parts and that the work was finally done we arrived today to find the work still incomplete. Once you buy the forget who you are and take months to make warranty repairs. Find another dealer.

The worst I have ever exspenced

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I bought my 2016 Rockwood Roo from Camping World in Thornburg in June of 2017. The converter and the microwave blew on our 2nd camping trip. We purchased a 4 year warrenty with it. They had the camper for a week and never even looked at it. The 2nd week we called and they said yes it needed a converter and a microwave. The 3rd week we called they never even ordered the parts and told us we had to pay for the shipping of the parts and it xould take 3 to 4 weeks to het it in . Needless to say we are going to pick the camper up amd make the repairs our self. I am so dissapointed. Spend all that money and they have had it 3 weeks and tell us we have to pay for shipping. They are a terriable place to deal with

No sale on advertised price

All I am trying to do is to purchase a travel trailer at the advertised price (+tax + license) on campingworld.com in the states that have "freight & prep fees" are not applicable. So far I have contacted 6 dealers and none of which agreed to sell... I let you draw your own conclusion from there. Since this review website does not let me end here I will list out the dealers I have contacted & how my conversation with them went. 1. CampingWorld of Vacaville, CA - $900 inspection fees where CA is on the list of no prep fees. 2. Campingworld of Bakerfield, CA - Sale man disappeared after he promised to call me back. 3. Camping world of Hillsboro, OR - Saleman required $1600 set up fee where OR is on the list of no prep fee. 4. Camping world of LV - freight & prep (no on the list but I throw this in here too) 5. Camping world of St. George, UT - prep fee 6. Camping world of Salt Lake City, UT - Sale man wanted prep fee, I mentioned on the website said UT has not prep fee...it became recommended prep fee. I have the feeling he won't be calling me back.
