This place is horrible! They ran my credit without permission! Im still recieving mail from banks they ran my name threw so far theyve dropped my credit score 35 point and i never told to to even run my credit i was still thinking about my decision to buy! Tony and his financial crew up there are gold diggers. Do not go there.

We have been super happy with the expertise to which each of you represented under the Camping World of Spartanburg umbrella. Would be nice to see the high standards that each of you have represented at every RV business throughout the RV community in sales and service. Each of you have far exceeded our expectations.

26 things wrong brand new bought in 2017october. It is now may 2018.I have yet to see my camper. Meanwhile im making payments. Paying insurance. And nothing still. Called corporate office another run around. Its a raptor. Called them another run around. Do not purchase from camping world ever if you ever want to camp tracel and enjoy cause your lucky if you get to do that with these people. Salesman got his commission and moved on to another sucker with all the promises of how great they are. Rating is a big fat 0from start to finish.

Camping world service is a RIP OFF !!!!!!

My fifth wheel camper started eating tires on one axle. I brought it to Camping world in St. Augustine Florida. They said I would have to leave it so they could have a guy come in with portable alignment equipment to find the problem. That was a Monday, they told me they would have an answer by that Friday. I waited till the following Monday and called them, they said the alignment guy never showed up on the appointed date that he was coming the next day. I waited another week and called Camping world again. The alignment guy STILL has not shown. They then said , they needed me to bring in my truck to check the height of my hitch BEFORE they could do ANYTHING !! SO after 2+ weeks of my camper sitting there having NOTHING done to it, I bring in my truck and hitch it up to my camper, they send out a tech in a golf cart, he looks at it for ALL of 5 minutes and says the level looks good, NOW they have to get the alignment guy out there to check the alignment !!! What !!!!! I decided to cut my losses and go elsewhere. They then told me that their charge for the " 5 minute diagnosis would be $388 " I was perfectly willing to pay them a REASONABLE charge, BUT, $388 IS NOT reasonable for 5 minutes of work !! I got in my truck and left with my camper, they said they would be calling the police, fine. On the way home I happened to stop by my Goodyear tire store on another matter and told them the story. They said they knew the alignment guy and he was coming there today on another job and he could look at mine too. The alignment guy comes, He says he does all Camping Worlds work but they NEVER even called him to do mine. He looks at my camper and says the level is NOT right and I have to drop the height of my hitch. The Goodyear tire guys adjusted my hitch and charged me $40, Camping world wanted $120 - $150. The alignment guy comes back to do the alignment , he adjusts some of the wheel bearings along with the alignment and charges me $170. Camping world also told me that I should have my wheel bearings repacked every 5k miles. The Goodyear people told me that was crazy, but if I wanted my bearings repacked they would charge me about $125. Camping worlds set price is $284. I guess now I know why Marcus is a millionaire !! He makes his millions by RIPPING OFF people.

Camping World in Nashville, Tennessee - A New Low

Camping World is a new low and is the worst ran business I have ever seen. Dishonest, manipulating, lazy, anything but concerned about the customer once the sale happens. One bad experience since we bought our new Thor motor coach in Nashville TN a few weeks ago. Every step of the way has been amazingly bad. Just one example of several, I had valve extenders installed the week after we purchased so it would be easier to check air pressure and put in air if needed. They charged me over $200.00 which is ok but when I got it home I checked them out and found one of them wiggling like a loose tooth basically ready to just blow out of the tire. They are metal extenders and should be solid and not moving around. I went back to Camping World the next day and talked with the service manager about it. His perspective is that he was sure his tech would never have sent it out that way so it must have come loose on my 20 mile drive home. He said that I could leave it and they would schedule to fix it which would involve breaking down the tire and tightening the nut inside the wheel and furthermore I would have to pay the full hourly rate of $130.00 per hour. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I said but is that my fault it came loose in 20 miles even if it had been tight when I picked it up..doesn’t that indicate there was a problem to begin with? Oh no not in their view if it was tight when I picked it up it was on me. Bull hockey, I took it to discount tire and had it repaired. The service technician there got a good chuckle out of what Camping World has said. He said if it had ever been tight it would not have come loose in 20 miles or 200 miles. He also said it was in a very dangerous condition and was ready to blow out as I figured. I might also mention the person we did the walk through with didn’t know dip. Couldn’t answer one question, he said he was given an hour notice he needed to do the walk through and he had not had time to familiarize himself with that model. Didn’t wash the unit it was filthy when I drove it off the lot. I even sent the CEO a couple emails but I don’t think he cares any more than any of the other employees.

I forgot to mention in my post. The unit I was sold was a 2018...but after purchase I realized the coach may be a 2018 but the truck portion is a 2017. No one mentioned this when I was being sold the unit but how can it be sold as a new 2018 if part of it isn't?Hmmm

Camping World in Sherman, Texas - Horrible from Start to Finish

Camping World in Sherman, TX was an absolute horrible experience. It all started when the sales representative (Jimmy Lee) began his sales pitch. He over promised and under delivered. We did not learn of his dishonesty until it came to sign the papers. Then we took our camper out to enjoy the outdoors only to find out when it came time to shower that the water heater was defective. So public showers for us the entire week! Upon returning from our camping trip, we took our 2018 Jayco trailer in to be serviced on 3/26/18. To this day, we are STILL waiting for the part to be delivered. Really?! We are completely frustrated with this dealer and Camping World's customer service. To say STAY AWAY is an understatement.

We just had the worst experience ever with Camping World of Oxford/Anniston AL, the way they do business is shadier then a *** used car dealership. A week and a half ago we go into look at a used (2017) travel trailer, of course the salesmen tries hard to only show us new ones and avoids showing us the one we came in to look at, but eventually we get to see it and it is in amazing shape and of course the $13,993 prIce seemed like a heck of a deal. So we go talk about it and decide to put the $1,000 hold until we can get back up there and negotiate/do the paperwork. It was only a couple days before we got back there but I left several messages for our salesman and not one got returned, then when I get him on the phone he had no idea who I was or what travel trailer I was talking about. We came back in that Friday, first thing he tells me is “I didn’t let them take the trailer to the race” where it is was supposed to be on display, as if he was doing me a favor but that is why we put the money down because the plan was for that to be ours. As far as we were concerned he wasn’t doing us a favor selling us a trailer so he could make a commission with his *** sales pitches. Then we start with the numbers and we had decided to pay cash($15,000 was our budget) it’s like they didn’t want to hear that, they would have rather financed us of course to make more money. Quickly certain things he said would be $250 the first day we were there turned into $2,000, and we get charged a cleaning fee for them taking in a used trailer, transportation fee (for what us driving it off the lot, we didn’t get a custom trailer from the manufacturer). So the price went from $13,993 to $19,500 walking out the door. And we said no we can’t do that and he told us that it’s and amazing trailer and the online department messed up the price and they have to honor it but they aren’t honoring it if they are bs-ing their way to get a higher price on it. Then of course he said well we saved it for you and we had 4 other people waiting, then once again he was trying to act like he was doing us a favor by holding it but that’s why we put the money down so he didn’t do anything for us except waste our time. We live about 30-45 mins away from there and by the time we get home the trailer changes its price online to $16,993 (Isn’t that funny). Even if camping world had the only model we wanted we would never consider purchasing anything from them, this company sucks.

Thanks for the warning, but I didn't need the last word in your final sentence ; that and the several asterisk blocked words *** made you come off as vulgar and harsh. If what you stated about the vendor is 100% accurate, you don't need to dirty it down with profanity and sexually suggestive terminology.

Monday April 23rd we went into your sherwood location and we were taken around by a sales associate and shown a few campers. We found one we liked and made it clear to him we only wanted to look at ones with slides. We were in a unit with a slide and told him we wanted this one. Cool. We went back into the store, and wrote up the paper work. My husband handed over 9k in cash and we were to return the following day to pay the remainder and take it home. We get there all excited, and immdiately notice it is the wrong camper out there waiting for us. That's right, they sold us the wrong camper, then refused to give us the one we thought we bought for the price we negotiated it for. Our sales associate knew good and well what unit we were in and what unit we said we wanted. Then, they won't return my husbands money and tells him he will have to come back yet again the following day to get a check, when his original payment was cash! The following day, today, Wednesday April 25, they tell him they only issue checks on Friday and he'll have to wait. My husband then asks in what world is it acceptable that they hold on to his money for a week, the manager replies, apparently this one!! No joke! This issue needs to be addressed and handled. We will be going to police for theft if my husband is unsucessful at getting his money back today! How does this even happen??? Poorest customer service EVER!! They are earning interest on our money while we aren't, and THEY screwed up and refused to fix it even thoigh my husband tried multiple times to work with them and come up with something so we could all be satisfied. They just didn't care... hope they all shut down. I will be spreading my experiance like a wild fire. I have family all over the US and will make sure they all know of this experiance and tell their friends.

I have always had the best of luck with Custom RV Services. They are fast, friendly and honest. Try contacting them for future repairs.

It is just a shame that a store the size of Camping World has to treat their customers so poorly. There is a reason they don’t follow up interactions with their online customer service staff - they just don’t care how we are treated. Never again.
