Camping World in Sherman, TX was an absolute horrible experience. It all started when the sales representative (Jimmy Lee) began his sales pitch. He over promised and under delivered. We did not learn of his dishonesty until it came to sign the papers. Then we took our camper out to enjoy the outdoors only to find out when it came time to shower that the water heater was defective. So public showers for us the entire week! Upon returning from our camping trip, we took our 2018 Jayco trailer in to be serviced on 3/26/18. To this day, we are STILL waiting for the part to be delivered. Really?! We are completely frustrated with this dealer and Camping World's customer service. To say STAY AWAY is an understatement.

Camping world in Oxford/Anniston AL

We just had the worst experience ever with Camping World of Oxford/Anniston AL, the way they do business is shadier then a *** used car dealership. A week and a half ago we go into look at a used (2017) travel trailer, of course the salesmen tries hard to only show us new ones and avoids showing us the one we came in to look at, but eventually we get to see it and it is in amazing shape and of course the $13,993 prIce seemed like a heck of a deal. So we go talk about it and decide to put the $1,000 hold until we can get back up there and negotiate/do the paperwork. It was only a couple days before we got back there but I left several messages for our salesman and not one got returned, then when I get him on the phone he had no idea who I was or what travel trailer I was talking about. We came back in that Friday, first thing he tells me is “I didn’t let them take the trailer to the race” where it is was supposed to be on display, as if he was doing me a favor but that is why we put the money down because the plan was for that to be ours. As far as we were concerned he wasn’t doing us a favor selling us a trailer so he could make a commission with his *** sales pitches. Then we start with the numbers and we had decided to pay cash($15,000 was our budget) it’s like they didn’t want to hear that, they would have rather financed us of course to make more money. Quickly certain things he said would be $250 the first day we were there turned into $2,000, and we get charged a cleaning fee for them taking in a used trailer, transportation fee (for what us driving it off the lot, we didn’t get a custom trailer from the manufacturer). So the price went from $13,993 to $19,500 walking out the door. And we said no we can’t do that and he told us that it’s and amazing trailer and the online department messed up the price and they have to honor it but they aren’t honoring it if they are bs-ing their way to get a higher price on it. Then of course he said well we saved it for you and we had 4 other people waiting, then once again he was trying to act like he was doing us a favor by holding it but that’s why we put the money down so he didn’t do anything for us except waste our time. We live about 30-45 mins away from there and by the time we get home the trailer changes its price online to $16,993 (Isn’t that funny). Even if camping world had the only model we wanted we would never consider purchasing anything from them, this company sucks.

Thanks for the warning, but I didn't need the last word in your final sentence ; that and the several asterisk blocked words *** made you come off as vulgar and harsh. If what you stated about the vendor is 100% accurate, you don't need to dirty it down with profanity and sexually suggestive terminology.

Camping World in North Little Rock, Arkansas - Bad business... they stole 9k from us.

Monday April 23rd we went into your sherwood location and we were taken around by a sales associate and shown a few campers. We found one we liked and made it clear to him we only wanted to look at ones with slides. We were in a unit with a slide and told him we wanted this one. Cool. We went back into the store, and wrote up the paper work. My husband handed over 9k in cash and we were to return the following day to pay the remainder and take it home. We get there all excited, and immdiately notice it is the wrong camper out there waiting for us. That's right, they sold us the wrong camper, then refused to give us the one we thought we bought for the price we negotiated it for. Our sales associate knew good and well what unit we were in and what unit we said we wanted. Then, they won't return my husbands money and tells him he will have to come back yet again the following day to get a check, when his original payment was cash! The following day, today, Wednesday April 25, they tell him they only issue checks on Friday and he'll have to wait. My husband then asks in what world is it acceptable that they hold on to his money for a week, the manager replies, apparently this one!! No joke! This issue needs to be addressed and handled. We will be going to police for theft if my husband is unsucessful at getting his money back today! How does this even happen??? Poorest customer service EVER!! They are earning interest on our money while we aren't, and THEY screwed up and refused to fix it even thoigh my husband tried multiple times to work with them and come up with something so we could all be satisfied. They just didn't care... hope they all shut down. I will be spreading my experiance like a wild fire. I have family all over the US and will make sure they all know of this experiance and tell their friends.

I have always had the best of luck with Custom RV Services. They are fast, friendly and honest. Try contacting them for future repairs.

It is just a shame that a store the size of Camping World has to treat their customers so poorly. There is a reason they don’t follow up interactions with their online customer service staff - they just don’t care how we are treated. Never again.

Camping World in Longmont, Colorado - Worst Place To Go

Extremely irritated with the Longmont Camping World. We purchased a 30 foot 5th wheel camper and had issues from the point of purchase and it still continues. Needless to say our paperwork was never forwarded to the bank that we are supposed to bank with and our first payment was due on 04/23 but we have no account number? Does this mean the camper is free? We have had nothing but issues and can't get anyone from the company to return our call? This is by far customer service and not to mention we had friends with us who ended up purchasing a 5th wheel as a referral around the same time frame and we were supposed to get a $100 GIFT CARD FOR THE REFERRAL, that never happened as well. This place needs some serious help and maybe after a lawsuit things will change and our camper will cost nothing but the reminder of complete *** for customer service "free" should be the penalty for not sending our information to the bank?? We will never shop at this location ever again. "CAMPING WORLD LONGMONT SUCKS AND YOU NEED TO GET YOUR *** TOGETHER"..

Bought a camper from the council bluffs location back in February 2018... this is our first camper purchase ever ..... we pointed out some flaws they said they wouldbe fixed before we took possession.... it sat on there lot for a month... we pi ked it up march first as they said it was ready ..... so i picked it up got it home and found nothing was fixed.... been fighting for 2 months now.... after pick up date... they said they would come to my home to fix...and still nothing ....now when i call all i get is ....that person is on another line can they call back.... but they never do.... THIS IS *** FOR A COMPANY TO TREAT CUSTOMERS THIS WAY AFTER SPENDING 20000 DOLLARS THERE......

I bought a 2018 Wildcat fifth wheel from the Richmond Ind. branch back in Sept. of 2017. From the time I signed the loan papers , I was treated different. I found a number of things wrong. When I took it back , I was told they would be fixed. When I picked it up and got it home , 4 months later. Only part of the things were fixed . I was told to bring it back and they would correct it . So I did . Was called and told it was ready about a month later . When I got it home , found the same thing . They said it was Forest River that was refusing to honor the warranty. At this point , I want everyone to know, Camping World and Forest river are two companies they don't want to do business with. They lie to you and don't honor their warranty.

I was told that when my camper arrived it would be clean and ready to go. I must say as for cleanliness I don't believe they toyched it when it came in for delivery. Also told that "one of the best made campers they sell" what a fool I was for believing that! Took pictures of the shotty half completed storage areas! This is unacceptable for the prices they charge!

I needed to get some rubber roof coating and was ready to order it at Camping Worlds online store but was driving by one of their retail stores so dropped in and picked up what i needed there. The sales guys had to get it from the back of the store and when it was being rung up by the sales clerk I didn't pay attention to the pricing. I didnt think i needed to. WRONG !!!! Instead of paying 77.00 i was charged 99.00. Once home and realized what i thought was a mistake I called them up and explained. Only to be told that the 99 is the correct in-store price. Now i have to return it, if i can and buy it online. Never will set foot in a Camping World store again!!!
