Camping World - Customer service sucks

North okc store sucks. 1st time out with $80k fifth wheel. The leveling system wasn’t working so I call dealership. They said I’d have to call jayco. Of course trying to get ahold of them was impossible. So I just gave up. There’s one guy in service up there that’s pretty good to work with the rest of them are worthless. Worst buying & service experience I’ve ever had. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM NOR WILL I RECOMMEND THEM!!! I will pay more somewhere else before I give them a dime.

We bought a new Coleman Light LX on 5/25/18 in Tulsa and Keith Johnson was our salesman. He was awesome! Easy going, not high pressure, everything you DON'T expect from a sales person. 5 stars to you Keith!

Since you mentioned lemonis, I must comment... he took two good companies, goodsam and campingworld, and combined them into one huge marketing monster resulting in a profitiable enterprise with zero customer service, run with one goal - profit.

profit in everything - sell you everything and hope enough new "customers" keep coming along to replace the disenchanted. Many employees are indeed good at their job but the place is run so tightly and cheaply that they can't deliver good service.

Camping World in Shafter, California - They sent me 1/2 of a propane cover I ordered

Camping World - They sent me 1/2 of a propane cover I ordered
So I'm converting an enclosed cargo trailer to an rv/toy hauler and I added 2 x 30lb propane tanks. Of course I needed a cover, so I went online and ran a Google search. Camping world had the cheapest option, but with S&H, it was close to Amazon and others so I went with Camping world. Here's the URL for the cover: https://www.campingworld.com/camco-30-lb-heavy-duty-polypropylene-propane-tank-cover-black You can clearly see it's full cover, with top and fastening hardware. So I get home today and there's this funky box from Fedex on the porch. On the side is a sticker that says "Repack". I open it up to find one HALF of the propane cover. No paperwork, no hardware, nothing except one black 1/2 of the cover. So I call up the number in the email I received after the order and got a fairly young kid on the line. I explained the situation in detail to him. He put me on hold a couple of times (he also mentioned he had the same issue with another customer a week before) and then told me I would be contacted in "48 hours" from some department that would figure out what I was missing and send it to me. Keep in mind this is Friday before Memorial day. At this point I'm not feeling real warm and fuzzy over this so I ask if I can just get a refund. After a little more discussion, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and said I would wait. I got no case #, no way to follow up on this. Just "wait and they will contact you". Hmmm.... I wonder what the odds are I get no call ; ) I don't need the cover right away for the project, but I'll be leaving in a month for a long trip with the trailer. So I'll wait 2 days and see what happens. I won't order from them again.

Camping World in Longmont, Colorado - Buyers Beware!

Details
If you are looking to purchase a camper, please do not purchase yours from camping world! I purchased mine on April 20, 2018 and completely regret it. Since my purchase I’ve had to bring my camper in for servicing and it’s still there. I’ve had to chase down the sales manager, finance manager, and the service manager. They didn’t complete my financing correctly and never followed up when I called them about correcting my loan. I’m still chasing them and have called multiple times without return calls. I’ve even contacted their corporate office without a response. Please don’t waste your time and go somewhere else. Scott Folkman- general mgr James Breese- finance mgr Tony Bova- finance mgr Art Hille- general sales mgr None of the above managers have returned my calls nor followed through on their word. Very unhappy consumer- Sam

Camping World in Panama City, Florida - Poor Communication, Service? What Service

2.1
Details
Panama City Florida CW has had our 5th wheel for 3 1/2 weeks to replace flooring and grey water tank and 2 terminal valves. Dropped off May1st and told several times by service personnel, "Don't worry it will be finished by May 25th." I have called every week for 3 weeks touching base. Never once was I told we're behind schedule! Today I'm told it's not ready! What?! 3 1/2 weeks. They haven't even done any repairs...only started the flooring, which by the way I removed most of it out for them! I've made all the phone calls and all communication starts with me. It takes 4/5 times to get someone to answer. Manager never called me back. Corporate started a file? Big Deal, haven't heard from them. I will never do business with CW EVER AGAIN.

Camping World in Syracuse, New York - Worst Customer Service EVER

1.0
Details
We purchased a 2012 Zinger 31’ Camper from them brand new. Worst purchase we could have ever made. Worst place to purchase from, Great until they deliver your camper then they don’t want to know anything. Was supposed to come with a 32” TV that fit in the entertainment center, they tried putting a 19” in the space instead. We got it Home, put the 2 slideouts out, out came the seals with them. They came to our house to put them back on. Now I am not sure that was the proper way to install them because we had leaks on the side walls where the slide-outs meet the main walls of the camper that we found by accident. After a month of having the camper I noticed the wall paper had little pimple bubbles under the big window. I called and was told it was a glue defect. Labor Day weekend 2017 my daughter put a flimsy clothes rack thru the wall that got caught between the wall and slideout. Looking at the damage, we noticed the wall was wet inside. We took our camper to Camping World in Syracuse NY at the beginning of October 3017. It is now 8 months later, they still have my camper. The Insurance company paid them Months ago! They only replaced the one panel on the side wall and the panel by the big window which had also been leaking all this time and that’s why the little bubbles were on the wall paper, it wasn’t a glue defect. My concern from the beginning was making sure All the panels in the back bedroom matched. After months of not hearing back from them, I finally received a reply after putting this all on the Facebook advertisement comment section. I was contacted and sent a picture showing how the Panels Did Not Match. I was told by the parts Manager he was going to make this right and would be ordering all the same panels so it’s not an eye sore and noticeable. 2 Weeks later it’s still not done. Today he tells me He’s waiting on the wallpaper. I say wallpaper what do you mean wallpaper. That’s how we are going to match up the back room. There is a Big Difference between Wall Paper and Panels! Panels come prefabricated and wall paper needs to be applied. How on earth is that going to hold up? I am Not a Happy Camper and I am waiting for the Corporate Office to return my phone calls. I would Never purchase from them again not tell anyone looking to buy a camper to buy from them without telling them about my horrible experience.AngryBullshitBullshitWtf

Camping World in Woodstock, Georgia - I purchased a Dish satellite and Wally and WiFi at the Wood

3.3
Details
They installed the equipment and had someome come out to explain how everything worked and answer any questions we might have. He basically said we had to call dish to activate it. I did that and the expert disappeared never to be seen again. While it worked there at the lot, I have yet to have it work anywhere else. I still have some questions but i don't want to take my trailer back there so i can spend tge day waiting for their expert to strut out like a peacock and disappear again. I will probably never purchase another thing from camping world. I will post a similar complaint on favebook.

Camping World - Satisfied Customer!

Bought a new 2017 Winnebago View in September 2017 and had a few Winnebago quality control/defect issues (faulty touch screen, faulty microwave/convection oven, faulty GFI which controls 110v. electric outlets in living area, and loose water pipe connection which caused water leak in bathroom, all of which were fixed quickly and competently under warranty! Leslie, service mgr. Jeff Welch, and Trey Hill are all excellent and can unequivocally recommend this CW service dept. Completed a coast to coast 8,700 mile inaugural trip to San Francisco end of last year covering 19 states in 19 days and Mercedes Sprinter Turbo Diesel ran flawlessly! Climbs mountains like a mountain goat. Now if only Airstream would build a house on this chassis would be a perfect combination and avoid Winnebago build issuesVehicle now has 11,000 miles and hopefully all problems have been sorted!
